Achill Sound Hotel - Ostan Ghob A'Choire

Good breakfast, location is ok, friendly staff.

A great base for exploring the island. Close to the bus stop and bike rental. Parking at the hotel. Rooms modest but clean. In the bathroom there is a bathtub with a shower. A bar with a fireplace serving delicious food. Nice and helpful staff and a beautiful view from the window of the room.

Just after the Achill Sound bridge, in the heart of the village, close to several shops and services and a supermarket (small mall) with quite spacious and comfortable rooms and a breathtaking view of the bay (from whichever side you look! :P) several services and agreements with various local bike rental companies (from Achill Sound off the greenway to the westport) Continental and full Irish breakfasts are always plentiful and tasty in a huge and very spacious room. The inside restaurant is very intimate with various offerings of fish dishes of all kinds at fairly low prices. The pub inside the hotel is really full of life (which also overlooks the main road). Very friendly staff and (traveling in the middle of summer 2020 after the covid19 period, also following social distancing rules and with hand sanitizer at various points in the structure both in the pub and hotel)
