the whole package
We had a whole house surrounded by beautiful nature. Kings Canyon National Park is just a few miles away. In addition to a well-equipped kitchen (probably many guests left their spices and sauces, as well as other products to their successors), we had a grill, a modern washing machine and a massager at our disposal. Unfortunately, the owners themselves were not present, so we were not able to get to know them, but they corresponded very well by e-mail with Mahalia. Before booking, you should know that you are at an altitude of about 1800 m and it can be very cold. The house is not insulated, but there are several radiators that can be turned on individually. There are no shops or gas stations nearby, and the nearest restaurant was closed, at least when we were there.
The location of the house is indescribably beautiful. We felt very comfortable there, the interior of the house is excellent. The kitchen has everything you need. There is also something like salt, pepper and more. A small veranda and a rocking chair in front of the house were also special for us. A hummingbird could be seen in the back garden. The hosts were very nice and you can see that they do it with great enthusiasm. We felt very comfortable here and will definitely spend a few more days there. Really highly recommended. We also really liked the outside shower. The house also has a sauna, but we didn't use it. Communication with the landlords before arrival was also excellent. Among other things, we also received a detailed description of how to get there.
Loft bed. Below is a sagging mattress lying on the floor, and another one above. Stop with lattice frame.
The hummingbird feeding place on the terrace is very popular, very good place for the Sequoia NP. The hut is unique for its countless exhibits and collectible figurines, toys, something in between a museum and a junk shop. On the bedside table is, for example, a 1942 Life Magazine booklet (emphasis on the US Navy shoulder badge! A treasure for the curious!). Also available are works by John Muir, "the father of all national parks." and many other historical items. Excellent parking, washer and dryer. Bears were sighted here recently and we were also lucky enough to see bears near Cape Glacier in New Zealand. The sunset on the back lawn is great! Very friendly host, pianist and artist. We loved the restaurant / lounge 1 km away.
Unfortunately, there is almost no Wi-Fi: since there is only satellite internet, you are asked not to do any (large) downloads as it is very expensive. But we also didn't get easy access to email or WhatsApp ...
Don't you dare say - we liked everything very much The hosts were very nice, the house is great Even the fact that there was no TV, we found it very relaxing 🤗
