The exceptional view. Cleanliness and comfort. The proximity of services.
The location is okay, view of the ocean, very friendly welcome. Nice terrace.
Old-fashioned room in need of renovation, kitchenette very limited and old-fashioned (the stove did not work - it was resolved). Interior and furniture old. Breakfast very limited, it was strongly requested to eat outside (under a shelter) even though it was raining... Slow WiFi
We came to the Vista by rental car from Boston for four nights. The location is perfect and easy to manage after a long flight. The welcome was super warm! All (!!) rooms have a view of the sea and are large. Ours had two queen beds, coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. Each room has either a balcony or a terrace, each equipped with two comfortable chairs and a small table. The heated pool also invites you to swim. The only thing I would like to call room for improvement is the breakfast. There was only sweet cakes (banana bread and blueberry bread) no toast or anything like that. You also got a hard boiled egg, yoghurt and fruit. But there is a supermarket just around the corner where you can buy what you need. We would stay there again. The beds are great, the staff warm, the location and landscape perfect and beautiful. We recommend!
Breakfast. See above….
The location is excellent, the beautiful beach is within walking distance. Our room had a balcony facing the sea, the view is great, especially in the morning and evening. The staff is (not only superficially) very friendly and helpful, e.g. the booking made by the reception for a whale watching tour was cheaper than we would have done it ourselves. The town of Gloucester is an authentic entity with brisk economic activity and good gastronomy.
The breakfast still has “room for improvement”…. Especially in Maine we had experienced much better things in the days before. Beyond that, nothing spoiled our joy.
