There is no heating on the entire upper floor where the bedrooms are located. As it was very cold, we had to sleep on the living room floor in front of the fireplace. On the east coast, the electricity went out, which meant we didn't even have running water. The owner was not interested in providing us with any information or assistance. The exterior walls of the house are made of clean wooden boards and tiles. There is no insulation, but there are holes and gaps. The only heater in the house could hardly counteract the loss of heat, although we left it on all day while we had electricity. In the summer it can be pleasant, but as soon as it gets colder - and now we have October! - the house cannot be recommended.

The shower is very rustic. There is no dishwasher in the kitchen. Wi-Fi is slow underground, but 4G can still be obtained, which in Maine has many blind spots. The Vacasa trip management app did not work on iOS, which made communication difficult - fortunately, this was only needed once due to a power failure (which, incidentally, was fixed very quickly).
