Freedom Inn

We arrived tired after a long journey. The hostess was sleeping, she did not like that we woke her up. From the threshold, not even offering to sit down, she demanded documents, then asked when we would leave, despite the fact that she had not even had time to show the room. The room was not ready, and she also slept on our bed. There was no soap or toilet paper. The room itself is not cozy, shabby. Dirty walls in the room with cracks, rusty leaky tiles in the toilet, old plumbing. Air conditioning without remote. The furniture is miserable. Fig yard. I also took money in advance for the number.

The room was completely dirty, the walls are not as white and clean as in the pictures. Also by Sri Lankan standards it was a very dirty room, the bathroom had cobwebs, the mirror was useless because you couldn't see yourself because of the dirt, some of the water on the bathroom floor was broken. WARNING: if you want air conditioning you pay double the price, it's not the best room or different, you only get a remote control. Overall, this homestay was the worst of my 3 week trip to Sri Lanka. The hostess is also quite unfriendly and also wanted to give us an overpriced tuk tuk to the airport.
