The view from the windows is great! The ocean and the promenade are completely empty, the entire beach was at our disposal.
It seems that we did not like EVERYTHING! There is no hot water, towels are dirty, the hotel is dirty, swarms of ants are everywhere, cockroaches and various other insects. The hotel is insanely old, the ceilings are peeling, the walls are splattered with something, the bedding is stained. The picture is not true at all. The pool was dirty, there were no sunbeds. The rooms do not have the amenities described. There was no fridge, there were no coffee sets, the safe didn't work. I accidentally saw the kitchen, and it was a shock! I have never seen such dirt. It was not possible to rest carefree at all. Constantly haunted by a feeling of slight disgust from everything.
Stopped for one night en route to Galle. An excellent place to spend the night. For a vacation I wouldn't recommend it. Maximum 2 days, ideally one. The beach nearby is huge, deserted, ideal for a walk.
