The accommodation is quite nice, much better than in the photos, a good place to disconnect for a bit and also very close to Salamanca
I can't say anything that I didn't like.
Everything. The location and the services available are wonderful. We liked it very much, we recommend it.
Everything was very comfortable in the house, we spent Christmas Eve and Christmas. The owner was always in a good mood, including the Christmas incident. This is a house of character so you have to understand that it won't have all the comforts of a modern home so you have to be careful to put the oven, kitchen, micro, heating etc into operation. It has a playroom for the kids at the top where their room is also located. The table in the living room is a marvel of cabinetry and spacious upstairs, perfect for 8 adults.
The worst thing about the house is that the sofa literally falls apart, even though the cover, and not the blanket on top, would be a fable (or, for that matter, change). That he only gave us 3 towels (2 large and one small) for 4 people for 3 nights. There is one of the mattresses on the cot: "very good", not at all comfortable. Lack of wood for the fireplace, especially knowing that there is a gas station within 5 minutes walk with oak firewood priced at 5€/5kg, a bad detail not to include. For the first time we go into a house with a fireplace, and the owner does not provide it, but this is the lesser evil. I will return without hesitation if you fix the sofa, which is the worst.
Proximity to Salamanca.
On the first day it was cold in the house, I was asked to give an hour's notice of our arrival, and when we arrived, the owner was not there, I had to call him on the phone. Air conditioner did not work in the room upstairs. I had to sleep in the living room because of the cold. We would appreciate it if, as we have to give an hour's notice, the split or fireplace were included. He didn't have firewood and we had to buy it.
The house is cozy, there is heating and a kitchen with everything you need. There is only one bar in the village open at night.
Finding the keys was difficult. The owner does not live in the village. We notified him 20 minutes prior to arrival and although he insisted he only needed 10 minutes, we actually waited in the car for about 40 minutes for him to arrive. Directions to the house are not very clear, especially at night.
