Cabernet Cottage Be Still and Know

It would certainly have been good, but unfortunately we had no electricity, so we had to leave 2 days earlier. However, the owner was very committed to solving the problem as best as possible - the power cable was cut off..

Cabernet Cottage is over 100 years old and is set amongst vineyards and olive trees. Some cars and people pass the dirt road that passes by, whereby the cottage is hardly visible due to the plants and location. Everything is very simple, at the same time very practical and prepared with love, hygienic and pragmatic. The WiFi was also stable, unless there was a power outage that affected everyone in the area (not related to the cottage). We could cook well on two plates (gas stove), the dishes were really good. We were happy with the large fridge, microwave, large shower (cold/warm water) and the simple but very functional bathroom. It's great to be outside: it has two outdoor spaces with nice and comfortable furniture for two people. If you want to leave your car or bicycle behind: You can walk to the town center in 10 - 15 minutes. The hosts are super nice, always helpful and at the same time very unobtrusive. A walk around the grounds is beautiful. For people who want to enjoy away from luxury, the Cabernet Cottage is a little gem.

Super nice host, nice and quiet place. Ideal starting point for wine tasting and hiking in the Franschhoek Pass.
