The facility is right in the historic center, close to everything
A little noisy
The host was friendly and we were able to converse to some extent in French (he doesn't speak English, but that was clear beforehand). The fridge and the small cupboard kitchen were good. There weren't really any cutting boards or good knives. Large living room and large bedroom with a small balcony, which was great :) The location is great
The bed was very uncomfortable. You could feel the wire everywhere. We then placed 3 thick blankets under the sheet so we could lie comfortably. We were looked at a bit askance and then had to ask for an additional blanket, which we got, but it caused my house dust allergy to flare up and we couldn't use it.
Room . Location
Bed . Mattress was disappointing
The apartment is very beautiful, starting with the frescoes decorating the ceilings. It is also very spacious and comes with every comfort, including a sofa, kitchen, fridge, freezer and TV. In the absence of air conditioning, there is a fan.
There was dust in the cupboards and drawers, so we recommend extra cleaning. In addition, given the scorching heat typical of the Italian summer, we recommend air conditioning. However, despite its absence, it must be said that at night a fan and an open window can be enough to cool the room. The only negative in this last paragraph: the street that the room faces is quite noisy.
Key collection was easy. The owners live next door on the same floor, you can call them at the door at any time. They looked out for us from the balcony on arrival.
Unfortunately, one of the biggest downsides was the contact with the owner, who, although kind and helpful, has difficulty communicating in English. English. We managed to communicate, although it was different; sometimes with the help of a translator on the phone, sometimes intuitively, but in the event of emergency situations while traveling, it is good to be sure of understanding each other and fast, good communication. The owner speaks Italian and French. Before leaving, we waited 8 days for his answers on booking.com to questions important to us, which made us very stressed. This is definitely room for improvement. The lack of air conditioning was also very inconvenient. In the room with a balcony it was unbearable in the morning, but in the living room / kitchen around the clock there was nothing to breathe. At night, we were additionally forced to close the balcony because there is a bar/pub with tables outside the apartment, where every day until 10.00. Music played at 2 am and people often made noise even longer because there is a self-service alcohol point next to the premises. It is also noisy in the morning, because there is a busy street right next to the house. It is noisy even with the doors to the balcony closed. The first thing we bought the next day was earplugs; are mandatory. We slept with the fan on, which is also noisy. The apartment has a very old electrical infrastructure. There are adapters for sockets, but my girlfriend was electrocuted when pulling out the plug. Sometimes you need a little help with these adapters and with more equipment (telephone, fan, lamp, hair dryer, camera batteries, cameras) we simply lacked inputs. In the living room the electric socket was falling out of the wall so we preferred not to use it. We were also surprised at the end by the tourist tax of 15 euros that we had to pay.
