Top location! Secluded, beautiful view, deafening silence. Cozy furnishings. Very warm welcome by owner. Extensive explanation of how everything worked: gas, light, electricity, wood stove, pellet stove, etc. Owner speaks excellent English. Owner can be reached by phone and via WhatsApp. Village 3 km away with cozy bars / terrace and small well-stocked and generously opened OK supermarket !!
Beds were not that comfortable. Pit in mattress or spiral is annoying when you are a bit older .... The road from the village to the house takes some getting used to: winding, narrow and sometimes steep...
Location on the mountain.
There was a pellet stove that only ran (timer switch) from 3am to 9am, but it only worked the first night. In the 2nd to 4th night not anymore, so we only had to heat the kitchen with the wood stove. We couldn't/shouldn't use the fireplace in the living room, even though it was stated in the description. The living room was therefore not used as a lounge in the first 2/3 of the stay (4-5 nights). Also, you always had to be careful to leave the kitchen door to the living room open when the wood stove in the kitchen was on, so the fan above the kitchen door didn't suck all the smoke into the living room. We forgot that once while leaving (the stove was still glowing) and afterwards the whole house stank of smoke. You should also be able to heat the pellet stove manually - we would have needed it in the evenings, from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. We would have gladly paid for the additional pellet bags (approx. €8 each).
