Arriving in the yard two dead pigeons, bringing a dozen dead cockroaches and two live ones into the apartment, I tried to contact the owners, sending photos, more news about our arrival. And, unfortunately, that's not all, the washing machine does not work, it wets only half of the laundry and, even worse, stains it, leaving stains on some things. The toilet, then the water tank does not fill, it is broken, forced to do it by hand, the mattress, stained and full of hair, was only covered with a protective sheet, and to finish the bottom of the shower curtain, just mold on top. I ask for a refund big problems with cleanliness and hygiene.
There was no basic cleanliness. The house has damp and strong smells. The towels were not clean. There was a constant strong smell in the bathroom and there was a water leak from somewhere. There weren't even the basics. (soap paper) TV and wifi never worked.
It is in a great location, the neighborhood is very good. This is a one-room apartment in the basement of a condominium. For this reason, it is quite cool, but it also has air conditioning, so the temperature is good even in the hottest days. And pretty quiet too. When we leave the garden, everything is available within 5 minutes: good restaurants, shops, bus and tram stops, services and the beach, on Fridays a large vegetable market 2 houses away.
Weak equipment in the kitchen (microwave, pan, corkscrew, glasses), storage shelf in the bathroom, the garden table and chairs were also missing. The apartment building is messy, especially compared to the neighboring houses, it's quite depressing.
Quiet cozy district, near the sea, the city center is easily accessible by public transport.
When checking in, they didn’t find the keys to the house in the attached place, I had to call and find out for a long time why, then it was suggested to send a photo of the door of the apartments, saying that this couldn’t be and we didn’t come there, but in the end, after long negotiations, the courier arrived and brought the keys, we checked in late, around 23.30, while huge cockroaches were running along the street, the feeling that they were horrified, after they got into the room they stumbled upon a dirty sink in the bathroom, a forgotten and uncleaned gasket in the room, sent a photo to the hostess, did not even apologize for everything, she said send a photo to the cleaning service. There is an old stove in the kitchen, but it works, the frying pan is terrible, scratched, there is still a broken grill and for some reason a dryer for vegetables and fruits. In general, when you get used to it a little, it’s normal, but I don’t recommend it. And yet, the room itself is located a little below ground level, the floor is a basement, overlooking the wall, it is always cool, even the air conditioner was not turned on.
The accommodation is in a good location, close to the beach, with good transport links to the center. Key collection is smooth. The layout of the accommodation is also in order, two separate rooms, basically equipped, the large bed is comfortable. It could even have been perfect if we got what we ordered and they cleaned the apartment, or if they repaired the deficiency.
The apartment was not cleaned when we arrived (several weeks of dust was everywhere), stained sanitary ware, dusty floor, the stove was faulty, shook, musty smell, water was standing in front of the fridge, mireli fruits had melted and spilled in the fridge... What kind of cleaning is this? ? We booked and paid for the accommodation for three people almost 1 month in advance. In comparison, 1 person did not receive bed linen or towels at all. The other 2 people got a quilt without a pull! We called the contact phone number that rang for a Greek real estate rental company, we asked for the replacement, which I also sent in writing on the booking interface. It was a weekday, they would have had time for it, it was a working day, not a weekend. They replied that they would solve it immediately, but nothing happened in 5 days, even though a Greek business partner of mine called them to confirm the request. They were offended why we informed them again, they understood. But of course nothing happened. We cleaned and bought you bed linen. It's a shame that such a well-located, well-designed apartment, which has a good rating, is degraded like this. We are aware that we have rented an apartment, but cleaning is a basic service, indicated separately on the bill. I travel a lot, I am aware of the price-value ratio, we were not looking for luxury, but a clean apartment in a good location. We bought what we needed, it won't spoil our trip to Athens, but it's annoying, especially if you tell them, they write back saying they'll take care of it right away.
