Cozy, spacious, bright, quiet apartment very close to the historic center of Leipzig.
The key collection was a disaster. There is no way to contact those who rent the apartment in person. Only through written messages. We had a problem collecting the key upon arrival: we had received access instructions online indicating to pick up the key at a nearby commercial location. The problem is that the telephone and Internet operator we have stopped giving us data access and we did not remember the room number. The staff at the commercial premises flatly refused to give us the key at first because they did not know how to tell them the apartment number. They also did not have Wi-Fi, according to what they responded to me, which would have solved the problem, accessing the Internet site where the information came. They ended up reluctantly giving us a key, to one of the two rooms they have for rent in the five-story apartment building next door. To achieve this we had to literally put up with bad manners, lack of education, and even, in the case of one of the employees, shouting and, ultimately, a totally unacceptable lack of respect. I understand that this was not caused by those who rent the apartment, but they must know what a very unpleasant moment we experienced without the possibility of assistance on their part, as there was no possibility of meeting them in person. We then had to walk around the residential building to locate the two apartments. The luck we had was that a neighbor showed up, who kindly gave us access to his personal Wi-Fi, which allowed us to confirm the happy apartment number.
perfect location, design of the apartment, good communication, good facilities
No blackout possible, mattresses are saggy
All without complications.
no curtain on the window Faulty refrigerator door ventilation is very loud. Apart from these 3 points, excellent location in the city center.
The apartment is exactly the same as in the photos. Everything was clean and in very good condition. The bathroom is large and modern. Picking up the keys was very easy (the guys at the diner are really nice). The location was great for getting around the city, the tram is right outside the front door, about a 15 minute walk from the city center. Good shopping opportunities right in front of the door.
I am very sensitive to light and in the summer it would be too bright for me in the apartment because of the skylight, so I recommend that anyone who is sensitive to light bring their sleep glasses with them. And, unfortunately, there are no curtains / blinds in front of the window - no one can look in (because the apartment is on the 5th floor), but for brightness it would be better.
Best location between Bayrischer Platz and Wilhelm-Leuschner-Platz.
In summer, the apartment is quite warm and light. Unfortunately, there are no options for blackout windows and skylights. But if you still get up early because of the heat, city noise and light, you can go to the bakery on the ground floor and have breakfast from 6 in the morning.
