The accommodation is divided into a house with 2 bedrooms with a bathroom/wc and another house containing a kitchen, a large dining room, a sleeping place on the gallery and another shower/wc. Connected by a courtyard with several seats and a wood-fired grill that invites you to use it. The rooms are tastefully and stylishly furnished with solid wood and solid stone. The site is located at an altitude of about 750 m above sea level near the northern Velebit National Park in a former village cluster of several houses and visible remains of the former subsistence economy, which can be reached by a narrow asphalt road and finally a gravel road. Views of the sea and coastal islands, beautiful peace, a starry night sky without disturbing light influences, interesting sightings of animals (wild cat, fox, barn owl,...) and an overgrown landscape remain wonderful memories for us. We arrived a little late with 4 children and the hostess was waiting for us with excellent and hearty food. They are generous people, visibly caring about the well-being of their guests. You can also tell about the setting of the house where, in fact, almost nothing is missing. About water supply and electricity has already been written; it was always enough to charge mobile phones and even laptops and use ordinary light. We spent most of the day by the sea in different bays, and then really enjoyed the relative coolness on the mountain and the peace and quiet.

The location is fantastic. If you are looking for peace and quiet and you do not need a washing machine, but nature, time in the mountains for your family, this is the right place for you. The mountains are really impressive. Life with a gas fridge and 12V charging options for cell phones and USB chargers like camera batteries is more than enough. The rustic fireplace invites you to grill. You just have to know that there are no dryers, hair dryers or 220V devices. But that helps slow down. The house was very clean and the beds were white. The meeting between Sandra and Radovan, who speak English very well, was also very warm. Drinking water is a problem, meaning you can drink the water from the tank, but we preferred bottled water. The water comes from 6 tanks of 1000 l each, which are very well sterilized. (Chlorine) Of course, there is only cold water in the shower to match nature as much as possible ;-) The temperature is usually 5 degrees colder than below the water, and sometimes a wonderful fresh breeze blows at night. Ascent to a height of 750 meters is carried out along a mountain road with moderate cross-country ability, suitable only for a passenger car, that is, in the presence of oncoming traffic, you need to gain firmness for the first time and not look down too much, because there are no boards on most sections. The children loved to ride 10 km on their mountain bikes, and then they were allowed to drive up again.

A hotel with a special atmosphere, located in a beautiful environment. Striped wild boars, wild rabbits and Rio, the huge, friendly neighbor dog. Demanding interior design, cleanliness.

Sandra and Radovan are helpful and very friendly hosts, they were greeted with delicious barbecues and given a lot of tips both for spending time in the hut and for exploring the area. Choosing a hut is not necessary because of comfort (electricity 12 V from solar panels, water from containers), but because of the unique experience of nature, because of the starry sky and wonderful coolness in the evening after a hot day. !
