The surroundings and the view of the sea are truly wonderful. Compared to September, the weather was reminiscent of summer, only deteriorating for the last two days. We went for an undisturbed vacation, we got it... for most of the time we "lived" the house alone with its six apartments. The situation was similar on the stretch of beach that was actually 50 m away (as the crow flies). The apartment is a comfortable size for two people, the fold-out couch in the living room would allow two more people to be accommodated, but it can be confusing, so we installed it as a sofa again, which significantly increased the space. The bedroom is of adequate size and furniture (wardrobe, chest of drawers), although the size of the bed may inspire more "young" married couples who desire even more intimacy... The hardness/softness of the mattress is good, even the older generation we represent did not cause waist or back pain :-). The kitchen equipment is suitable for two people, a family of four would have had to share e.g. on three teaspoons. Parking in the yard, in a protected location, excellent.
What is an advantage is also a disadvantage of the house - it is close to the coast - i.e. not by the water, even though it is really close. What makes this absolutely confusing is that the second busiest road in Dalmatia falls within this 50 m straight line to the coast. Only the parallel Zagreb-Dubrovnik highway is busier. Those who do not intend to pay the track fee - which is quite hefty anyway - well, they all travel on this route. I would add that despite the 60 sign, not slowly... Anyway, it is a mystery that the road from Split to Omis (this is the next bigger town after Duce) practically leads through a residential area, with a speed limit of 30-40-50 km/h in some places. ra, on this section, where only the road separates it from the sea, the speed limit is increased, which is quite liberal anyway, not only for Croatian drivers. So anyone who wants to get to the beach has to cross it - very quickly -. Since it was the off-season, most of the vacationers were my kind of "quieters" and young families with young children who were not of school age. It sometimes took them a long time to cross the road like a child, on a rubber mattress, playing with a ball, and unfortunately, as cordial and friendly as our Croatian hosts are, they become "pipe-seeing" and pedal-flippers when they get behind the wheel. Defensive driving and politeness do not apply much on Croatian roads. neither here. Unfortunately, the situation was worsened by another factor. A very good number of - although mainly foreign - motorcyclists. Who could somehow feel like they were all born in Maranello and brought up in the school of Monza, Because - with very rare exceptions - every engine squealed in a "herding" sound, or hummed and rumbled, according to its owner's taste, but as loud as possible (even at 1:00 a.m. h also) thanks to the speed well over 100 km/h. Only once during the two weeks did I see a police car speeding after a motorcyclist with its siren on, but half an hour later this incident was forgotten because the biker community was happily racing as usual. So I really didn't like that.
We liked the location and the beautiful terrace.
Dislikes: The equipment is not as described (much was missing, for example, washing machine, microwave...) - Wardrobes are badly deformed (do not open) -Chairs are broken -Bed is very noisy -Very noisy, you can hear everything from neighboring apartments. -Very low water pressure in the shower -Parking as promised but quite cramped -No bbq area promised -No cleaning products as promised (only disinfectant and detergent) -Kitchen is quite old (heating level numbers are no longer visible.
The apartment is very large, as is the terrace. There are also 3 bathrooms. The apartment was clean. The lady who gave us the keys was also very nice. The apartment has 2 air conditioners that work very well. Big kitchen.
Iron in kitchen and bathroom... water damage on ceiling (stain, peeled off after a week). Bad sea view. In fact, it would be very nice if the tree could be looked after and cut right in front of the terrace. You could slowly invest in the object. The shower curtains had to be washed because they were very dirty downstairs. The clogged sink was repaired after 3 days. Hot water problems!
Beach sea and food.
We booked an apartment for 2 adults and a 7 year old child in May, paid in full via PayPal. When we arrived the hostess told us that she only had one bed and if that was a problem we should cancel it! At 40° I have already cooked and it was flawless. Then it gets even better, and the woman invites our child to sleep on the floor! He was going to call the police, but at the request of his wife, he did not. Then we stayed there and spent the night on an air mattress. The beach and the sea were worth it, and I also did not want to disappoint my son and immediately go home. Would advise anyone against Sandy Beach Apartments especially the arrogant lady we had. You can't give something like that for a booking. We love Croatia, we will holiday there again next year but no longer book via booking.com.
Beautiful spacious apartment with two bedrooms and a living room, 3 large bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen and a terrace. Beach across the road, parking spaces on site and nothing else to relax. I recommend
