This is a three-story building: the owners live on the first floor, and two apartments are rented on the second. Owners don't want Italians, tv not available because it's tuned to other languages, light from hood and bathroom mirror burned out, pool with 3 wet composts behind sun loungers (vomit stink and flying flies that torment you), fumes fried food and everything else that you enter the apartment daily from the kitchen below the owners, air conditioning without remote control and with the lifesaving switch turned off (despite the 5 euros for the electricity fee per day). A small double bed with a raised wooden edge around the perimeter, which does not allow you to stretch out without touching your legs (we slept curled up for a week). Toilet paper with drip, had to make do on the last day. An important topic: access to the house; no directions to get there, despite our updated GPS, we walked around it for about an hour before finding it (comparing with booking photo and casa del vero): we called half an hour before check in to get help, not they answered us. When we found the house, without even calling we were immediately opened (a nightmare after many hours of driving above 30 degrees and with two little girls).
We planned this vacation for two weeks in the summer of 2020, but due to covid restrictions, we canceled and again rescheduled for next year for two weeks. In April 2021, I receive a message in the mail that the vacation has been canceled because my credit card has not been verified after the host has verified (?). I reprogram the card, check blocks for payments also to foreign countries, everything is fine, I will immediately rebook and ... surprise: the apartment we booked is no longer available. I should have known right away that there was some hatred for Italians, but sure that I wanted to stay there, I booked what was left: another apartment, but only available for a week. (in hindsight, I'm grateful that this cancellation only allowed us to stay for a week instead of two). Last but not least, on my second booking in April 2021, I specifically asked to check that there was no lock type on the card to avoid being canceled again, and was told that everything was fine, but a week before departure, when the booking was no longer refundable, they write that the card is not valid and that if we do not renew it, we will lose the reservation. Let's be clear: we lose our reservation and we have to pay for the holiday without enjoying it: it's all a nightmare. In the end, after WhatsApp messages, sms, booking, phone calls, we were able to pay by bank transfer, but I assure you, we did not have a very good time. Holidays??? Yes, but never again in such conditions. We strongly do not recommend.
Cozy apartment. Purely. There is a swimming pool. Grill. Very attentive and polite host. Quiet place.
Unfortunately, the climate is separate. Walking distance to the sea. drove by car, serpentine road.
Wonderful views of the mountains and the sea, the illuminated pool, in which my children bathed, even when it was already dark. Sun loungers by the pool. Barbecue area. Nice hosts. A beautiful village with narrow streets. A beautiful beach that compensates for the long and steep descent and entrance from the villa (over a kilometer, but worth it). You can drive up by car, but the road is very steep, winding and narrow .. From Villa Tara to the sea it is much closer in a straight line, but there are rocks without slopes and without beaches.
Paid air conditioner
Very nice apartment with very good technology. The balcony offers a beautiful view of the sea (beautiful sunrise) and Brsek. To get to the beach, you need to go down the mountain for about 1.5 km into the bay. Nice and uncomplicated owners. Good pizzeria nearby.
