The benevolence of the owner.

First of all, the outdoor area with a large pool (diameter 7m), slide and outdoor shower invites you to linger and relax. Mario, the homeowner/manager of the holiday home, was always available and willing to help. He also always gave us great tips on culture and restaurants 👍. The beautiful towns of Labin and Rabac (with several beautiful beaches) can be reached by car in 10 and 15 minutes respectively. Overall highly recommended.

Each room has individual air conditioning. The kitchen is super equipped and clean. All bungalows have a networked sound system. The pool is very well maintained and always cleaned. For families with children, a trampoline is installed in a buried place. There is covered parking next to the building…. Mario the owner is a piece of gold, he stands next to the bike and acts and helps where he can.

We stayed as a family of four in this house with a private pool. The place itself is relatively small and remote, but by car you can quickly get to the next bigger town (Labin) for shopping or dining out. The sea in Rabac can be reached in about 30 minutes by car. The house is spacious and open and offers enough space for everyone with 3 bedrooms. Air conditioning in every room was great. The kitchen is equipped with a large gas stove and a very large fridge freezer. As self-service, of course, great. There is also a washing machine. We didn't actually use the big tv, but we used wifi for tablets and mobile phones. Very comfortably. The highlight, of course, is the huge swimming pool, which the owner even cleaned every day. Enough seating with a large table outside and a few sun loungers. In any case, most of the time you are outside. The jacuzzi was something special, of course the kids had a lot of fun. You should be aware that the pool is relatively deep, around 1.40 or 1.50 meters. Toddlers just can't stand there, but we knew that and had a lot of gadgets with us (water hammocks, water chairs, mini boat for toddlers, swim rings and a float board). There is even a large trampoline here, and the slide in the pool, of course, will appeal to children. Key handover and briefing was easy and friendly. The owner Mario lives nearby, he is very helpful and friendly, speaks excellent German, which makes life very easy for German holidaymakers.

I have been coming to Istria for 40 years. So far, we've been mostly at RABAC. So I know a lot of hotels and apartments. Casa Aqua has been the best experience so far. Everything is very clean, the pool is super clean and very big. It looks a little small in the photographs, but it has a diameter of about 6 meters and a depth of about 160 cm. The house with a large kitchen is very beautiful and modern. You immediately feel at home here. By the way, the whole villa is fenced and the pool is accessible only to the guest, there are no other guests here. Private parking is available directly at the villa. Absolutely great for families with children. Barbici is a small town with a very small number of inhabitants. All the local neighbors are very nice. Barbici is just a few minutes drive from Labin and Rabac. So if you want peace and quiet and still want to be in the center in a short time, this is the place for you. The owner (Mario) is always in touch and tries very hard. You might say that for him it is not about "business" and not about fast processing. Mario was not our owner or landlord, it was a friendly atmosphere and, by his nature, a person you just need to love. In other words, just a nice and personable guy. We will definitely visit Casa Aqua again. Information for bargain hunters: Yes, Casa Aqua can cost a few euros more, but it's worth it. Equipment (large TV with Netflix, freezer, washing machine, cozy living room, very, very clean pool, private parking, grill, gas stove, air conditioning throughout the house, great Wi-Fi, etc.) Must be worth it. ... After all, you are here on vacation. If you want to save some money, take something cheap, but then please DO NOT whine :-) Information for smokers: For me it goes without saying that there is NO smoking inside. However, on the terrace it is possible without problems.
