Flying Crane Apartment near Mariahilferstraße

The only thing I didn't like was that the mattress had clean linen on top, but the mattress was without linen. I don't know how hygienic it is. The pillow is not very comfortable

The apartment smelled terrible when we entered. After a short search, we also found out where the stench comes from: from the sewer. Water almost did not drain. There was also a hole in the countertop in the kitchen which was wet, dirty and stuffed with paper which also stank badly. The entire floor in the apartment was covered with crumbs and fluff. The bedding had black hair and black stains. All four towels had brown (!) stains. The toilet was not cleaned, there was a blood stain on the toilet paper. The mattresses were very soft and smelled. As soon as we arrived, we contacted the owner, who promised to send a cleaning lady the same evening, which did not happen. The next day no one came at the agreed time. Only in the evening the cleaning lady came and changed the towels and bed linen, but she didn’t clean everything else, much less vacuumed it, on the grounds that the vacuum cleaner had broken down (at least as I understood it, the cleaning lady couldn’t speak German or English). The host was very rude after our complaint and only refunded us 26€ (out of 175€) after multiple and long exchanges which is ridiculous. This unsanitary, even disgusting condition is absolutely unacceptable in principle - and even more so during a pandemic - as is customer service.

The originally booked apartment smelled of cigarette smoke. After contacting the owner about this, I was immediately offered a replacement apartment on the next floor, not entirely clean, but at least not smelling of smoke. The equipment was ok.
