Attention, access to the pool seems to be paid even for hotel guests. The hotel practices euro/lek exchange, which is not regulated. If we had agreed to pay the asking price, we would have had to pay an additional 4,000 leks (32 euros) for a room of about 6,000 leks (50 euros).
A message to the owner, Jurgen d'Elinde, his sister, father, and all the hotel staff. My 3 daughters and I, we are very grateful to you for the very warm welcome you gave us. Your hotel is especially well located (on the heights of Tirana) and offers everything we could wish for to complete our stay in Albania. Our room, modern and comfortable, offered us a sensational view (as did the bar with its large and very pleasant pool, as well as the terrace of the excellent restaurant). We will keep wonderful memories of our stay in your establishment. Thank you for being part of our adventure to discover your dreamland.
The location is excellent. Nice view from the nearby restaurant where we had breakfast.
There was no fridge in the room, they brought it on request. There was hardly anyone in sight at the reception. We got a mobile phone number and someone was there right after we got on the phone. There was a pool party which is not for hotel guests and went on until 2am. Lots of noise to sleep. Our room does not have a balcony.
It's great that after the final match of the Conference League (unfortunately lost) we had another pizza for the night. I also found the local taxi service to be excellent. Definitely worth repeating, then I'll stay for a few more days, that's for sure.
The location is in the eastern part of the city, close to the funicular and the BunkerArt museum. Both are highly recommended. The hotel is good, neat and clean. The air conditioner is working fine. The view is excellent. The swimming pool that comes with it is also good but not included in the price and is open from about half past nine to half past seven. Breakfast is served and very plentiful. We also had lunch there once. Okay, but not great. There are many restaurants within a short drive. And, if you're lucky, in half an hour you will find yourself in a garage under Skanderbegplein.
We stayed there Thursday night and Friday night. On Thursday evening there were 2 children's parties. Luckily the loud music turned off at 11pm. The next night was, unfortunately, terrible. The wedding is right below our room. Paul just hummed. When we didn't sleep a second at half past one, we went to ask and the party lasted until 4am. We then protested and after half an hour they arranged for us to be in bed in a hotel 2km away. Is free. They flew for us. But, unfortunately, we would certainly prefer to sleep normally in our hotel. The hotel is not suitable for vacationers. Maybe at the beginning of the week, but not on the weekend. The elite of Tirana celebrate their parties there, and then stay at the hotel. (They say, but we hardly saw any guests, and this is in July.) The pool is also not bad, but the elite also come here during the day for a swim. We have a discount because we also spend the night there, but the pool is paid. The deposit / booking can be made with a credit card. Then you expect to be able to pay them off. Unfortunately (as almost everywhere in Albania) this is only possible in cash. Both in euros and in leks. It's over again. We have a pencil note with the numbers written down. It was "account".
