comfortable bed with nice linens and pillows. Big Bungalow. Nice staff and quite good breakfast.
The resort is very far out. Plant and bungalow could be a little better maintained. There is still a lot of room for improvement when it comes to cleanliness. Nat table lamp without function. Unfortunately no fridge in the bungalow. Unfortunately the resort does not have a pool. Pictures on booking suggest a better facility.
the structure, nature, staff
the chalet was not taken care of, windows with holes, door blocked with holes, no mosquito nets, ants and spiders in the bathroom, there was no refrigerator
Very nice bungalows in general the area. very friendly staff and delicious food.
is a bit out of the way and the beach is not very good for swimming
Villa Allure is secluded on a very quiet manicured yellow sand beach. Our bungalow was very large, light and comfortable. The bungalow was cleaned on request. We thought that was great! You could choose between the English and the Thai breakfast. In order to explore the area you need a scooter because of the location in the very east of the island. The island is so small that you can easily explore the whole island from here. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We were taken to our further accommodation free of charge. Thanks for everything Joachim.
Unfortunately, there is an unpleasant smell in the bathroom.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Good and cheap food
A bit far from the center. But doable with a scooter
It's pretty. Lots of potential but the BIG lack of interviews ruins everything.
-The staff is never available (waiting at the reception for more than 2 hours) -The room is dirty: LOTS of marks on the walls, stained sheets, unpleasant smells… -Broken equipment: sockets coming out of the wall, missing shower jet, broken seat in front of the room... -The location very far from everything on the island, need a taxi or scooter to eat elsewhere because the hotel food is not very good -The beach is very disappointing… -Very large but very empty room, we do not feel comfortable there
The breakfast is good and the staff friendly.
The location, the beach
The bungalows are located directly on the beach on a quiet, secluded stretch of beach. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful (e.g. free pickup from the pier). The breakfast offered was good, with toast and eggs, fresh fruit, pancakes, cornflakes and coffee/tea.
The beach is not one of the most beautiful on the island, so you definitely need a scooter due to the remote location. The bungalows look very stylish in the pictures but are in dire need of a refurbishment (leaky electrical outlets, peeling floor/walls, rotting wood). The bed linen in our bungalow was dirty and had stains, it was only clean after the third repair (yet yellowed). The towels also smelled bad and had stains. Unfortunately, there was only one hard, partially broken bench to sit on in front of the bungalow. In addition, there was no mosquito net in the room, but the bungalow could not be completely closed. The scooters to rent were in poor condition.
we liked everything! the room with views of the sea, its staff and the beach of the place, we will repeat:)
clean, stylish and cozy
the location is a bit further away; but with the scooter a stone's throw
Small bungalow complex in a beautiful garden directly on a secluded beach. Those who like seclusion are in good hands here. Other beaches and restaurants are easily accessible by scooter. Super crew, who were very courteous and polite and made an effort to ensure the well-being of the guests.
The facility is quite old and in dire need of a refresh. The bedding was yellowed, warm showers were not possible. No hangers to hang things. breakfast limp. And as always on the islands: Nescafé (Coffee from Hell).
The quiet location The friendly owner and staff And good food
Nothing
private beach, nice/helpful staff, quiet
the bungalows were very dilapidated, everywhere holes in the brittle/rotten wood, mold in the bathroom/shower, the bungalow wasn't clean when handed over
Villa Allure is a very quiet place, beautifully situated in the jungle with a small clean beach. A motorbike is needed here, I was able to borrow a bike in the “town”. You can use it to explore the island. The bungalows are modern and have everything you need. Especially the sea view bungalows (I had number 2) are recommended, great view with sunrise from the bed! The owners/staff are extremely friendly and helpful! They pick you up off the pier, bring you back again. The restaurant offers breakfast until 10:30, as well as everything you need (fruit, egg, toast, fried rice, juices). After that, the restaurant is open from 1pm to 8pm for all other cravings. As a vegetarian, you could also order all dishes as a veggy option, which I thought was great too! You can also use the fridge to cool a CokeZero or fruit, for example, as there is no fridge in the bungalow - which is a good thing, because it saves energy! At the end of my stay, I noticed that they do offer a cleaning service, but only if you deposit the key accordingly. I didn't miss the cleaning for such a short stay - everything was good as it is. Air conditioning was quiet and pleasant. Ms. On, the front desk and restaurant attendant speaks English - she is the soul of Villa Allure. The manager and driver is also very nice, with a little English he tries to fulfill every wish! Really great! Not to mention the two girls who clean and the gardener - they don't speak English - but they do a great job too! Thanks at this point :-) Jungle sounds are free - simply beautiful but certainly not for those who sleep lightly. I loved it. Value for money is absolutely good.
It's not a complaint, rather small recommendations (tips) to become even better: - Provide soap at the sink (possibly also attach a liquid soap dispenser) - Install a towel rail next to the sink - small Buy a coffee maker (filter) for breakfast (it doesn’t cause waste from the instant coffee. There will definitely be nice guests who will show you how to prepare the coffee) - eliminate the humidity in the bungalows and the smell (it's not bad, but maybe a room scent would help, airing) - a shelf for suitcases/backpacks would be nice (such a bank with a TV on it) - Coke Zero in the restaurant ;-) I didn't miss anything, these are just points where you could possibly improve.
Very nice hotel right on the beach but a bit far from shops and restaurants. It has its own beaches. I recommend it for those who love communing with nature. there's a lot of it here. A revelation for me.
Bungalow near the sea surrounded by nature, very friendly staff and very good food at the restaurant of the villa Allure.
He lacks hangers to hang his clothes.
Great, cozy hut, nicely but simply furnished. The view of the beach and the sea were fantastic. We woke up every morning to a beautiful sunrise in front of the edge of the bed. The staff was very friendly, open and helpful.
A beautiful place, the team on site is very caring. Shuttle to pick us up and take us back to the pontoon. Scooter rental directly at the establishment. Super breakfast very complete and made on request!
There was no storage in the room. Nothing to hang towels, to store a few things + without an outdoor balcony very difficult to dry your things.
The staff is very friendly and helpful - unobtrusive but helpful. At breakfast, you can express your wishes and make your stay as pleasant as possible. The small bungalows are right on the beach which is great for swimming. Since the water is in shallow water for a long time, it should also be ideal for children. Of course, this or that ant walks around the room, but if you have no problems with this, you live in a small idyll. But don't forget the mosquito spray.
It's a bit out of the way, but you live in nature and at the same time on the beach.
Quiet, beautiful air-conditioned bungalows, beautifully designed grounds. Very good food, free kayaks Overall a great stay.
The staff could have been a little more motivated ...
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The property is very nice and new. The view is fantastic. The air conditioner works fine. There were kayaks for free use. Suitable for a romantic quiet getaway where you want to relax and do nothing else.
There is no refrigerator in the room / bungalow. Towels can be cleaner. The food in the restaurant was a bit touristy. There was practically no other infrastructure in the immediate vicinity (restaurants, supermarkets, etc.). You must take a taxi or rent a moped if you want to do something. The beach of the hotel was very beautiful and always kept clean, but the water on this side of the island is very rough and therefore brown. A little further you will notice that a lot of mud from the sea has been thrown aground or washed up.
Nice bungalows, friendly staff and good food at a reasonable price. Nice green environment.
It is a little far from cozy restaurants. The resort itself lacks some coziness, which forces guests to go outside.
The breakfast is the worst we have ever been served in Thailand. Microwaved scrambled eggs, coffee like dishwashing water... no choice. There was no safe, no fridge, no night light in the room. It was almost impossible to take a shower, as the water was only a trickle, and often not at all. We knew the system 2 years ago. Back then, under a different name and different management, everything was very loving and very service oriented. Everything that was beautiful before is gone. All the beauty is gone. There used to be garden furniture. Dryer, loving decoration. Now only the basic package. Why did you buy TVs there, but there are no refrigerators??? We couldn't figure it out!!!, In our estimation, the staff has no experience in this area at all. The value for money is not true at all. The complex has an unimportant level of youth hostel. The rest of the food is also underground. For about 90 euros per night is too expensive, almost no service. All employees constantly check their mobile phones. Really a bunch of amateurs who let loose on the guests.
Great concept. Nice hut off the beaten track right on the beach. Good food. Loving employees.
No more restaurants / bars after 21:00. There was a lot of rubbish on the beach.
People are very helpful. Rent of good scooters, which you will definitely need there, because remotely. Pick up and drop off at the pier is a hotel service. The beds are good.
-No fridge in room -No storage cabinet -No conservation -Garden still under construction -Sometimes no water -Breakfast ok but no choice
Nice and very nice staff. Free loan of kayak and beach towels. Nice breakfast. Comfortable beds and nice room.
Not such a nice beach, kayaked to another beach but a lot of rubbish there. Pier side much better. No fridge in the room.
The receptionist is very friendly.
Dirty floors, no cleaning was done in the room, no refrigerator, no hygiene products (shampoo, shower gel). The beach has dark sand, but in the photo the beach looks prettier.
Wonderful location all to itself out in the jungle with its own beach. The staff are super cute and helpful with everything. The hotel has its own mopeds for rent and if we wanted to take a taxi, the hotel helped us with this. Well-prepared breakfast and great food in the restaurant. The bungalows are modern and great! I didn't want to leave this place!
We stayed there 17 nights, the location is remote, but we thought it was great, we like the quiet place. You can ride a moped wherever you go. We had a spacious beachfront room with a terrace and it was lovely. The colored sand beach may not be what you'd expect on this island, but there were few or no sand flies, which otherwise bother me a lot. Before that, I even doubted whether to go to Koh Mak a second time. No insect problems in the room other than a few mosquitoes and lizards, but that's not a problem. It is very pleasant that you can go kayaking as often as you like and for free.
We were missing a refrigerator and kettle in the room. Breakfast is very monotonous, if you are staying 17 days we brought our own fruit for breakfast.
Beach
Nestled in the middle of a lush tropical landscape (don't be surprised if you meet small animals from time to time, this is a game!). The rooms are very tastefully decorated, the bedding is incredible and the staff are the best we can hope for. for!
The beach is not what you are looking for perfect (ocher / red sand hence dark water) and the place is isolated but everything is nearby on a scooter (small island).
The room was lovely with a great bed and good A / C. Very friendly staff. Peace of mind in the area. This means that you will need a scooter to see the rest of the island.
The coffee was not very good for breakfast.
Beautifully located, beautiful resort with a private beach on a quiet island with excellent Asian cuisine and helpful staff.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner were delicious and very cheap compared to the rest of the island. Employee Am looked after us perfectly for almost 5 days and read all our wishes from our lips. Beautiful resort in absolute silence with a beautiful beach.
The accommodation is a bit out of the way, to be flexible you have to rent a scooter locally (300 baht for 24 hours).
Fantastic complex with a beautiful natural beach (cleaning daily) for lovers of tranquility. The hosts are always helpful and friendly. All is clear. Bungalows are only cleaned if you yourself want it (no criticism, just for information). The food is really tasty and relatively cheap for an island (I know it differently in Thailand). Breakfast is tolerable, but good (usually at home it's always the same :-)). We spent 2 nights at Villa Allure and enjoyed the "Robinson feel" of this complex. Despite the other guests, the entire beach was at our disposal. Was just great! If you are looking for peace and quiet and want to enjoy an island away from mass tourism, you are in good hands!
The only downside is that the resort is really remote.
Beautiful little boutique resort on a beautiful island. Everything is very modern and very clean! Very comfortable beds and great air conditioning.
In my opinion, the quality of the breakfast does not match the hotel. I would recommend investing in a good coffee maker and letting guests choose from a small selection of freshly prepared items (eg eggs and toast, pancakes, fresh fruit).
Great welcome from the young manager, always friendly, smiling and efficient, like all the other employees. Correct cuisine at reasonable prices. Absolute tranquility and proximity to the sea. Rent of kayaks and beach towels. For a few extra baht, "sea view" bungalows deserve the extra cost: they are prettier, but also more intimate, with great views and proximity to the sea. Overall good value for money.
Very secluded at the end of the island. A scooter is a must for visiting the island: rental on site is possible. The bungalow has no storage space and no safe. There would be room, but the bungalows are big.
