very nice and helpful staff 👍 central location man can go anywhere by subway. there was someone at the reception even during the night. for a hostel it's just great. would love to come back.
good location (even if with grab you can move everywhere easily), clean room and bathroom, friendly staff, nice reception area where you can have breakfast for a fee even if it is not in the same building as the rooms (across the street)
we were unlucky with 4th floor and elevator not working
Very nice food in their cafe, super friendly, clean private rooms
Good reasonable, quiet location near good eateries and China town within walking distance
Bangkok city is chaotic and busy, so personally not really my thing, but accommodation can't help that
family room for 4 The staff is super friendly and speaks very good English. The staff does everything to help you and they answer in a few moments on whatsapp it's super practical (whatsapp discussion available when you arrive) Not too badly located near wat and 700m from the metro Very nice decor Own good bathroom
TERRIBLE NOISE. impossible to sleep properly I had never had such a noisy room in 20 years of travel The air conditioning makes the noise of an airplane, the road is super busy (noisy motorcycles, tuk tuks) super hard bedding Unattractive value for money. even if it means having such basic comfort, you might as well pay less elsewhere
All ! The staff is charming and available. They did everything to help us as much as possible. The room is as pictured. Comfortable beds, salt nickel bath, AC worked great. Very well located hotel
The location is perfect as it is located in old Bangkok. Several monuments are therefore easy to visit on foot. There is the mythical Thai boxing gym 15 minutes away on foot too, so perfect for me who loves it. The food is well presented and good and the team is extremely kind.
I made two stays there and if there is just one thing that I didn't really appreciate the first time in a single room, it was the cleanliness of the toilets which was average. BUT it's really to be demanding
Large 4-bed room and spacious bathroom.
Nothing. Upon check in we saw two large cockroaches roaming undisturbed in the lobby - dining room. For the staff it was normal, for us not: let alone what was in the rooms!!!! We therefore decided not to proceed further and not to check in anymore.
For the managers, the presence of cockroaches in the hostel was a normal thing and in fact they demanded payment in full for the 5 nights booked, without offering us any accommodation!!!!
everything, from the reception to the room, everything was perfect
nothing, it was great
Simple but comfortable and perfect location. Super friendly and helpful staff. And the café is a highlight!
Location
Quite noisy street
Located one kilometer from the Reclining Buddha and the Royal Palace and many more temples! You can get there easily on foot thanks to the wide sidewalks and quieter streets than in the rest of the capital where you risk your life every time you cross a pedestrian crossing! Place where you can sleep in peace. Small street restaurants nearby. Room spacious enough not to have to use the air co to breathe at night. Very helpful staff. Deco full of charm and references.. great atmosphere for families but also for backpackers. Great value for money for BKK.
Nothing.. just a pity that the kitchen closes at 6:30 p.m. the dishes looked appetizing. A shampoo for the decorative cushions in the bedroom would be nice..
Good location. Cozy atmosphere in the hostel with the cafe. Friendly staff who thought along with us. Sanitary clean and pleasant to use.
The beds are extremely hard, especially in the private rooms. Even for Asian standards. Lying on the mattresses literally hurt our bodies.
The location. Affordable. Nice lounge. Good city guide brochure.
A bit hard beds. Expensive breakfast, even with a discount as a guest.
-Reception area and cafe decorated warmly and aesthetically -The staff is so cute and friendly -Location near many places to visit, many delicious and famous restaurants. The surrounding is not too crowded, it is very pleasant to walk - Private room, warm, clean. There is a large common space, you can go in groups to chill chill
The bathroom has a bad smell from the drain, so buy a silicone drain cover to seal it to prevent the smell
very friendly owner. best location close to jai fai and pad thai #1
there was still hair in the shower drain from previous guests.
perfect location. cozy, clean and staff 10! I had a problem and they helped me with absolutely everything. thanks to Bik and the whole team. I travel alone and they worry every day to know that everything is going well.
Breakfast was modest but sufficient for women.
We liked everything.
Hostel stylized as a 19th-century railway station - visible references to those times, e.g. in the reception decor - I must admit I liked the idea very much. The location of the hostel: very close to the main tourist attractions in Bangkok (Royal Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun, etc.), which can be reached on foot. Close to the metro station and via it close to the train station. In the vicinity, there is a 7eleven store as well as the most famous padthai in Bangkok, i.e. Tip Samai and the Jay Fai restaurant awarded with a Michelin star. Standard room equipment (although a fridge would be useful), beds just right (mattresses not too hard or too soft). Bathroom very well equipped and clean - towels changed daily. Breakfast very good, although a bit minimal for me. In general, the location is perfect on the one hand (close to the places that you must see in Bangkok first), but on the other hand I also lived in Bangkok in more distant but better connected places (near the BTS station), so it's hard to judge what is better.
- perfect in every way - there's Raan Jay Fay around the corner
- nothing
We stayed 3 nights at the Niras Hostel and for the most part we really enjoyed it. The staff were very helpful and helped in any way they could. The location of the hostel is also good. We were able to walk to all the sights of the Old City and several malls by canal boat. There are also some very good street food places down the street from the hostel. Those who stay here should definitely try homemade iced teas! They are insanely good and super refreshing in the hot weather of Bangkok.
Unfortunately, the hostel has very poor soundproofing, which means that we could hear our neighbors chatting until late at night and hear, unfortunately, a large and busy street. We still slept very well. However, this can be a problem for sensitive people.
Great location, good price and very friendly staff. I also found the decoration very authentic.
Super very helpful staff, the rooms are excellent and the breakfasts are perfect.
When booking or arriving, I would recommend asking for a room in the cafe building, because we were offered a room in the annex, which was also very good, but less pleasant.
Atmosphere, friendly staff. Great location - perfect for exploring the city. Street food and supermarket nearby.
Not many breakfast options. Too loud in the morning - both across the (main) street and inside (the room above the lobby). The shower was only hot or cold and not in between.
Very helpful and friendly staff!
Very unusual location with a phenomenal location!
Very nice front desk staff! Spacious bunk. Nicely furnished and great location. I would like to book again in an instant. Stayed in a mixed hostel.
In order for the light to work, the card must be inserted into the bed. An inconvenience if you first have to climb across the room into bed in the dark.
Geographical position. Good bedding. Efficient air conditioning. Welcome.
Noise from traffic which does not interfere with sleep.
Location!!! Jay Faye, known for her stellar crab omelet, is right around the corner. You have all the fun of Bangkok here, but still somewhere in the world. The staff were very helpful and clearly had a good time at the workplace. The lobby is a great place to retreat to warm Bangkok.
The hotel is well located and tastefully decorated. Good breakfast and available and helpful staff.
Smell (not strong) of cigarettes in room 33.
There are four options for breakfast. If you stay for a few more days, you can eat all of them.
The locker is completely made of iron and it is very noisy when it is switched
The staff were very helpful; on two occasions we were unable to take advantage of the breakfast (included in our booking), instead they prepared takeaway food for us.
Split air conditioning dripped; nothing that could not be solved by placing a basket under it.
Very good breakfast, central location and nice helpful staff. Creative design of rooms and buildings.
smell in the room. The room was rather dark, with almost no daylight.
Good accommodation, very quiet, with breakfast
The decor and decor is a neat, successful vintage vibe. Good bedding, good breakfast and good staff availability.
The room is spacious, but without a window (to be specified in the room criteria)
The location is really great. In the middle of the old city. Many temples are right in the area. Two very trendy restaurants are also directly opposite. If you want to eat something from a Michelin-starred chef (J-Fi, also known from the Netflix series Street Food), you can do it very cheaply - the store where Pad Thai was invented is also right across road. You have to pay a little for both bringing enough time to get a seat. The hostel has a very stylish design, especially in the entrance area. A bit hipster. Very stylish. The room was also in a very hipster style.
The bathroom could be refurbished. First of all, wastewater can have its own sewage connection rather than drain into a shower. There was mold in several places in the bathroom. But for the local conditions, this is probably quite normal or standard. It was still cleaned or cleaned every day.
This is a new, clean, comfortable and cozy accommodation. The bathrooms are very good. The staff is very pleasant and attentive. In terms of location, it is ideal for sightseeing tours of Bangkok. It is close to places like Golden Mountain or Chinatwon.
Although the rooms have lockers, the place where they let us leave our luggage after checking out, on the contrary, seemed a bit unsafe because it was open and accessible to everyone.
We booked 3 nights in a double room with bath and breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable with air conditioning. Breakfast was served in an adjoining cafe, which also adjoins the hostels. There were several breakfast options to choose from and fantastic coffee to top up. Our bathroom sink was clogged on the first day but this was fixed/repaired immediately. The hotel is close to several good food shops and street food stalls that are open until late. This includes the Pad Thai restaurant and world-famous street food chef Jai Fay's restaurant, where long lines line up every day to catch or take a look at one of the coveted spots. We liked it there so much that we extended it for 2 nights. I would definitely book there again.
Our room was right next to a somewhat outdated elevator which woke us up a bit rudely at one time or another. However, it is not used very often.
Very friendly staff and always ready solution (luggage can be stored, shower is also possible after check out, ...) lovingly furnished, excellent value for money, restaurants, night market and massage in close proximity, delicious breakfast
Rooms facing the alley or the street are not soundproofed and the windows are not tight. Very loud. The rooms at the back of the building are pleasantly quiet. So please check when booking.
The property is nicely decorated, I think recently. The master bedroom bathroom has a nice large walk in shower, hair dryer and laundry facilities. The location is excellent, 750m from the subway (with which, for example, you can get to the Ratchada night market), about 1km from Chinatown and 900m from Khaosan street. Two bottles of water are left in the room every morning. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. On the last day, we flew in early in the morning and they prepared a small bag with a takeaway breakfast (bread, jam and banana) for us. There are some great street food stalls in front of the building (including the location of the first episode of the Netflix documentary Street Food).
The breakfast is a bit poor, you can choose between 4 menus. There was no TV (but there is a "common" room in which we also did, although we did not use it, but always saw it empty) ... but the main drawback is the duvet: I understand that there is air conditioning, but how to use duvet in Bangkok when it's 25 degrees outside at night?
Clean, spacious locker, hearty breakfast. The place is beautiful, I will even return to the same hostel in the next days! 24 hour front desk, I arrived at almost 2am to check in and everything was fine.
I enjoyed my stay in this hostel. The positives were: - They let me rest in the common room when I arrived very early and made sure I could get into the room quickly. - The decor and general atmosphere of the place is very nice - Very clean - Good breakfast (now with tea/coffee drinks) - Friendly and helpful staff - Laundry service - Access to computers - Clean and private bathrooms - Perfect location I recommend!!
The hostel is almost like a real hotel so it's pretty impersonal and makes it hard to meet people.
Staying a second time
-
In a week I will be passing through Bangkok and of course only here Best hostel
-
The room has a very nice authentic style, as does the hostel in general. The staff is very kind and helpful, they helped us with anything and everything. Very good breakfast.
In general, we liked everything!
Super friendly staff, you reach extremely Lots of hotspots within walking distance! Extremely great food court right across the street (be sure to watch the Netflix series "Streetfood"). We will return
Loudness on the street! Windows must be double glazed!!
The staff is very friendly and available all the time. . . the room is clean with daily cleaning, the continental breakfast is basic but sufficient with eggs, bread, tea and coffee. . . the environment is very calm, quiet around
Location was not possible to go anywhere, always had to take a tuk tuk
The decoration is very characteristic, just like the previous residents said, it is very old-fashioned. good coffee
There are not many options and quantities for breakfast, but you can drink unlimited coffee. In addition, the elevator is broken. If you live on the fourth floor, the staff will not take the initiative to help you with your luggage. The place where you check in is not the same place as where you live. There are no slippers in the room, only disposable cups are provided, and it is not easy to dry clothes without hangers
Nice atmosphere, very clean, helpful staff
The cafe is very warmly decorated, and the staff are very enthusiastic. You can order a different set menu for breakfast every day, and they are all delicious~ The place where I live is also very clean, on the other side of the road~
nice front office staff
The facilities in the room are really bad. The shower water is small and there is no hot water. I was the only one who took a shower on the first day (because I was already wet), and I was so cold that I couldn’t take a shower. Imagine How does it feel to not be able to take a shower on such a hot day? Moreover, there is no hot water in the basin, and there is no plug, which is really speechless.
The restaurant on the first floor is very beautiful, the reception staff are very kind, and the breakfast is also good. There are a lot of food on the opposite side, there are two Michelin restaurants. It is much more convenient to take the water bus than the light rail. The water bus 11b/person will take you to central world in ten minutes
The hot water is hot and cold, the bed is easy to make noise, and the sound insulation is poor. You can hear talking up and down, left and right, and it is even more noisy when you are next to the road. The toilet is relatively humid, there is no space to dry clothes in the room, and the room is sloped. You can live better at this price, couples don't need to live here. It may be more suitable for a youth hostel.
Staff attention
A fair amount of medical supplies
The staff is wonderful, very kind and attentive. The breakfast is delicious and varied. The location is strategically good if you like to walk. The beds are very comfortable, the lockers are large.
Everything is very good
excellent location
none
The atmosphere of the site was especially pleasant, the staff is very friendly and ready to help you, it's incredible! In addition, the food is really good and the value for money is very good. We really enjoyed our stay at this little hostel in Bangkok!
Some smells in the rooms due to humidity but nothing to worry about
Very good coffee and breakfast here
Decor, cleanliness and location is basically a good place. The bathrooms have shower facilities. We can arrive late which is a plus :) Breakfast is included and you have a choice between 4 formulas!
Personally, I was in a hostel and it was worse than a refrigerator... it was so unbearable that the first night I slept on the couch in the hallway! The next day, I was able to take the remote to turn off the air conditioner, but when there are several of us, we don't necessarily decide.
The geographical position, the design of the entire establishment, a very spacious family room.
A kettle in the rooms or in the common room is welcome.
