Born Free Hostel is located in a traditional Thai-Chinese building in Bangkok. It offers shared and private rooms. Guests can explore the lively city on the free city bikes, or relax in the shared lounge with plenty of sofas and tables located downstairs.
Each bed in the uniquely decorated dormitory rooms features a covered balcony, a reading light, a personal bag and a blanket. Guests have access to a shared kitchen with a fridge, boiler, toaster, microwave and cutlery.
Other services include a tour desk and ticket office. For guests' entertainment, the hostel provides guitars, chess boards and a book exchange. During your stay, you can enjoy local weekly events such as street football nights, nightly bike tours, and club and night market tours.
A small café opposite the hostel serves Thai and Mediterranean cuisine, as well as vegetarian and vegan options.
very cool atmosphere in the hostel, immediately disposes to itself :) The staff were very helpful and gave advice on where to go! lounge area
that you can’t cook, well, this is essentially understandable. if you leave something in the kitchen not in the refrigerator, ants may appear + there is no hood, why not cook?
the staff was mega helpful and allowed us to check in a little earlier. The lobby is very cozy the beds were fine.
the shower and toilet were not on the same floor and not very clean. Having to go to the toilet when someone has showered before means wet feet. also there were no curtains in the rooms.
The atmosphere was good, the location was good, and the air-conditioned room was cool. The host is also friendly. It would be nice to visit Elephant Heaven once, referring to the fact that all elephant sanctuaries have the same price.
No hot water (considering Thailand, it's ok) Some westerners were drunk late into the night and were making too much noise, so the host was a little worried...
Personnel!! Bangkok was the starting point of my journey and they helped me a lot here with what to do and how and where I could continue my journey. They are sooooo intensely sweet here!
The shower and toilet are a bit clumsy, but otherwise nothing wrong with that!
the welcome is perfect and the receptionists are at your service. it is very easy to extend your stay.
