It's close to the old street, just a few minutes walk away, which was very convenient for us to go out at night. The staff was friendly and taught me many things in English.
The hot water supply in the shower was low and cold.
The weather was bad, but the view was great. The owner who responded? The man didn't seem to be able to communicate in Japanese or English, but he taught me various things with gestures and images on his smartphone. The room was clean and comfortable. It was comfortable because there was a dehumidifier instead of the climate pattern being very humid.
It is located quite far from Kiyama-gai. Since it's Jiufen, there are some things that can't be helped, but since the room is far from the check-in place and there is no elevator, we recommend that you do not bring large luggage.
doesn't exist
I booked a room with a sea view and terrace. The bedding was a clean white bed as seen in the photo, and the interior of the room was neat. After finding it hard, he showed me a strange room. It was a very old, worn and damp room with flower patterned bedding and no view of the sea outside the window. I turn on the translator and it says that the room I booked is not this room, so it shows me another room that is no different from the one I just had. It was so crazy. Turning on the translator again, showing the picture of the room I reserved “This is the room I reserved.” When I say that, then I tell you the truth. I can understand a little bit of Chinese. “The room you reserved is that room. But the room can't take a shower right now. There is no water.” What is this... I am so absurd and angry. I almost shed tears. It was already dark outside, and it was so hard to walk up and down the stairs in Jiufen with a heavy backpack on my back. Still, I couldn't spend a night in Jiufen in a shabby, dank room I didn't even book. “I can't sleep in that room. This is not the room I reserved.” When I talk to the man again, he calls somewhere and changes me. The clerk spoke English and was in charge of making reservations. “I don't want to sleep in this room. The room I reserved is not this room.” Do you say "I know. However, the room has no water since yesterday. sorry." phew......... If the water didn't come out since yesterday, shouldn't you have fixed it before the guest who made the reservation came or contacted me and told me to book another room because the water didn't come out? What is the case when you arrive and then show the wrong room and say there is no water? In the end, I canceled my reservation, and I was left with nowhere to go in the middle of Jiufen where the wind was blowing. I was so angry that I was in tears. I opened Booking.com and Google Maps again and looked for other nearby accommodations, and as a result, I spent the day in a room with a much better view, cheaper, clean, and friendly than here. It was so hard that I passed the restaurant and tea house I was going to in the evening. My trip to Jiufen was ruined by this accommodation. If you want to go here, check twice or three times to see if the room you reserved is correct and if there is water in the bathroom before you go. Might ruin your trip.
The inside was renovated and there was a clean room
Due to the locality, there are stairs all the way to the entrance of the building. The toilet and shower are in the same place, and for some reason the shower is in front, and there is no partition, so when you take a shower, the floor is flooded up to the toilet. The hostel where my friend stayed was also made in the same way. The attached towel is a small so-called hand towel that is stiff, and there is no preparation for a bath towel. At this price, I think it would be nice to have bath towels provided. They gave me an extra towel when I asked for it, but I gave up washing my hair the day I stayed because I have long hair.
The location was good. There is no convenience store nearby, so it's a little inconvenient, but Amei Vice House is also close, and the location is good. The person who guided me to the room was an elderly man, but he was kind. Taiwan was humid and it rained a lot on the day I traveled. The clothes and shoes I was wearing were also wet, but when I put my sneakers on the dehumidifier, they said they were dry the night before. The dehumidifier was great.
I had to go up and down a huge flight of stairs to get to the accommodation, but there are steep and narrow stairs in the room as well.
