beautiful landscape and village of Morcote
the view, the spa area, the service
the bar is because smoker. there is piano entertainment in the evening, but not accessible for people who are disturbed by the smell of the smoke, nor to families. an aberration in 2023

Very nice hotel right on the lake, which deserves the 5 stars
Very spacious and attractive rooms with a nice little balcony overlooking the lake. The room was made twice a day. The staff is very attentive, friendly and gallant. The hotel has a small, heated indoor pool. On the same complex there are showers, solarium and showers. The breakfast includes something for every taste. Gladly again!
The price segment is at the upper end. The bed is very big, but the mattress is not very comfortable. The parking spaces are not covered.

It is a hotel with a very nice view of the lake, courteous and friendly staff, delicious breakfast, free parking and really good food in the restaurants.

Happy Weekends
Magnificent view of the lake, spacious room, pleasant dinner, very professional and friendly staff, especially the butler who reserved the same table for us every evening on the edge of the terrace. Excellent meals but the menu offers the same dishes as the menus so limited choice of dishes.
Beds too firm for us. Noise from cars and buses because the hotel is located on the side of the road. Very little heated dining room! 7 km from Lugano, no restaurants open in the evening in this area!

Nice hotel with a little old-fashioned charm.
The room was spacious with a wonderful bathroom. The outdoor swimming pool, the spa area and the fitness area facing the lake are splendid. The shuttle ride to Lugano is also very pleasant.
The reception is good, but not really personalized. There is a lack of homemade and regional products at breakfast. The dining room facing the lake is beautiful, but the Ticino menu is not quite up to par with a gourmet restaurant.

Luxury hotel on the shores of Lake Lugano
Thinking where to stay on the way to Italy, we chose between hotels located in the center of Lugano and this hotel, which is located on the shores of Lake Lugano. And they made no mistake in choosing. The most important thing in the room is of course the view from the window and from the balcony to Lake Lugano. Luxurious, romantic, very beautiful. The hotel is old, has its own beach with a swimming pool right on the lake, across the road. The breakfast restaurant is located in the hotel itself, but there is also a lakeside restaurant. The room is large, chic, marble was used in the decoration of the bathroom, which is a work of art and not all museums and palaces are so beautifully decorated.

Wonderful holiday
The service at the bar (excellent cocktails) and the live music was very appreciable in the evening. We also enjoyed the SPA and ate very well at the Lago restaurant. The location of the hotel for going hiking and visiting the pretty village of Morcote.
Every day we had to go to reception to ask that they put coffee (nescafe) back in the room.

Hotel with beautiful rooms and the best view of the lake
Very good breakfast on the super nice roof terrace on the 6th floor. Very elegant large room (40 m2) with large balcony overlooking the lake. Large window front. You can see the lake from the raised bed. Nice seating area and enough storage space. Restaurant am See can be reached through an underpass within the hotel. There are many sun loungers at the lake. Bathing is possible via jetties in the Luganersee lake. There is also a large swimming pool by the lake surrounded by the restaurant tables.

It would be 5* if the quality control worked.
Great location - minimal Italian breakfast - room very nice but not very well prepared.
There was no TV remote in the room. Missing greeting (was in other rooms) as well as bottles of water even on the 1st day.

Nice hotel with great views
Dinner was beautiful and luxurious. The view was great. The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Several saunas and many amenities.
The breakfast buffet was very small. It was an expensive hotel and extras like coffee in the room and breakfast (eg scrambled eggs because the buffet was limited) had to be paid extra.

We had a wonderful weekend. Have already booked.
The room was beautiful and lovingly furnished. Bar and restaurant right on the lake. With very good live music. There is a large selection for breakfast. The coffee could be better, sorry. Sabrina at reception is a very friendly and nice woman.

Nice place to stay, but value for money is not very good
The rooms were ok, there were enough cobwebs, the curtains and linens were already dirty in places. Not for a hotel in this price range. The breakfast was rather poor and nothing special.

Didn't quite live up to our expectations for a 5 star hotel. At these prices, everything should be ok.
The bed and room were great. Sun loungers and lake great, great location
Breakfast was on the 6th floor, on the roof (very nice), but this summer there are very wasps. We would appreciate it if breakfast was made downstairs (as in winter). Previously, the choice of breakfast was better, rather poor. The service on the sun loungers was not very good. Long wait for someone to come. You had to order at the counter yourself (not worthy of 5 stars). Partially understaffed and therefore longer waiting times. Sofas in the pool area are designed for 6-8 people. But mostly only 2 people remained. up there, so the seating area was occupied, although there were still a few seats left in the seating area. Perhaps it is better to set up groups of 4 people, otherwise there will not be enough space. Especially in the evening with music, not everyone was comfortable to sit.

Traffic noise. There is far too much traffic past the hotel. Could be remedied with speed reducing bumps. Flower beds to drive around The music at the pool doesn't stop until midnight. Suggests at 10 p.m

The living environments/interiors and outdoor pools with the nearby lake are the work of great dedication and amazing architecture which is a marvel in itself.
The welcome/reception at the beginning of the accommodation was a cold reception at the front desk and for this five star hotel with a very high price and very high booking we had to carry the luggage ourselves, this did not help us get to it. maybe it's normal!? The bedroom if it's expensive it's worth it but if you get a cheap room despair but if you think about it the same five star hotel accommodation or comfort must be something like that because we had two rooms and I saw the difference, I don't know how to explain it!?

A 5 star hotel that has lost some of its luster
very clean, very nice staff. Everything went well with a surprise for my girlfriend :)
somewhere in need of repair. Especially in the spa, individual mosaic tiles are falling off, electrical covers are missing or not properly secured.

The location is fantastic, the value for money of the hotel depends mainly on the location. Nice hotel but price is high.

Good hotel, rooms are decent size and clean, closet big enough for a 4 night stay, various drawers, hanger space, safe and mini bar. Cleaners, breakfast very smiling and polite.
The description of "worthy" 5 stars is incorrect from my point of view. The described rooms were overlooking the lake, but in reality on a noisy street and, most importantly, overlooking the parking lot and the lake right there. The bath set has nothing to do with 5 stars, it is mediocre and of poor quality, the hairdryer is very budgetary, so I recommend bringing what you need from home. The breakfast lunch is served in a room next to the reception overlooking the cars parked in front of the bay windows and only inside. Disappointed by the reception staff of the event management: for several minutes we heard the barking of a dog (of course, left in the room alone and not happy to be there without its owners), we leave the room and hear the barking of several rooms further from ours, let's leave the hotel for about 30 minutes, to get the dog out, only coming back from the elevator we still hear the dog barking. As soon as we entered the room, we received a call from the reception staff and briefly asked if it was our dog barking. I am very surprised that in a 5-star hotel, the staff does not move to “find” which room the barking comes from, but considers it appropriate to call the neighboring rooms, blaming wrongly. Professional behavior would be to take the elevator to the affected floor, and once the staff exited the elevator, it would be easy to figure out where the barking was coming from. All in all, not 5 stars!

Nice short trip for relaxing.
Room with a south-east facing balcony with a beautiful view of the lake. Friendly staff. Lots of choice for the breakfast buffet and if something is missing from the buffet, the staff tries to fulfill your wish. The sauna and indoor pool are great when it's not so warm and sunny in Ticino.
Probably quite busy in high season. Then parking spaces must be quite limited and the pool and sauna are likely to be frequented. Due to the position of the sun, the balcony should be quite warm in summer (but it does have sun shades and shutters). I am not a fan of carpets, but decor and furniture are a matter of taste anyway.

Basically, we liked it.
The breakfast was great! The location is perfect in our opinion. The rooms were cozy and nicely decorated. The view of the lake is a definite plus of the hotel.
Portion at the bar, but the restaurant could be more. The rolls were sometimes hard (not fresh). The spa is small, the water is too cold.

the price is overpriced and the temperature in the room went up to 28 degrees even though we entered 22. It was ok for one night but still very stressful
