Fantastic location but worse care for accommodation in apartment.
Fantastic view of Lake Kallsjön and Åreskutan.
We had booked one of the apartments, but were first assigned to a different apartment than the one intended for us and there was a leak behind the shower and it was not cleaned. Then we got the intended apartment, which was ok, but also uncleaned and with dust that was difficult to air out. There was no apology for assigning the wrong apartment and this despite the fact that, as far as we understood, we were the only hotel guests in the apartment during the entire week.

Fantastic food, very pleasant staff.
Amazing food, it was worth the trip alone. Three-course dinner at gourmet level with reindeer in the main role. Very pleasant staff. Rented an apartment, and it was perfectly fine for our use (family of five). Very nice surroundings in Kall with a view over the lake.

Slightly unclear instructions about what self-catering means. Does it include linen, cleaning, do you have to throw away the rubbish, if so where?

A really lovely spring winter holiday during the last week of March 2023.
The breakfast was of a good standard. The staff are very nice and accommodating. We felt welcome and appreciated. In addition, we were very lucky with the weather and the availability of snow to be able to cross-country ski for three days.
I had the cross-country tracks 'all to myself'. It's charming, but possibly a little daring in the event of an accident. However, this did not happen for the better and is not something that Hotel Kallgården can influence.

Great hotel, friendly staff, we will be back ;-)
We booked dinner the first night, absolutely recommended. The chef and staff have put in a lot of effort to make it an unforgettable experience for the guest. The hotel is absolutely quiet, there is practically no movement, not even a trace of steam in the sky.

An old hotel that needs a major overhaul to justify the price. Easy to determine the level
The hotel has a flair from ancient times. The bar, lobby and restaurant are all right. The house is relatively quiet.
However, ancient times are not relevant for rooms. For a very small room with a small window, a closet from the Middle Ages and a mini-bathroom, where when taking a shower the entire bathroom was under water, the price is absolutely not justified. It was impossible to drink coffee from thermoses, especially since it was lukewarm.

Relaxing atmosphere that gives peace of mind

Highly recommend a visit here
What an idyll. Got a bedroom facing a snow-covered Åreskutan. Booked on the road an hour before arrival, then the owner calls and asks if I want dinner in the evening. The sauna was heated and ready when I arrived. Breakfast was perfect with freshly baked bread and what should be on a breakfast table. That's how a stay should be. I will be back.....
It rained.... no, I can't find anything negative about this place.

Super relaxing stay with delicious food and cross-country skiing
The place exuded peace and relaxation. The young host couple looked after us so well. Always friendly and helpful. The food was super delicious and a nice meal plan. The cross-country track was right behind the hotel

Kall (the farm) in Åre municipality a warming memory.
The manager, a young couple from Roslagen, were very attentive and helpful. The evening meals were consistently very exciting and tasty. If you are looking for peace and quiet and beautiful nature, Kall (the farm) is a good choice. Added more flavor.
Have no criticism.

Perfect
Lovely location (nature) with a fantastic view of the lake. Very good dinner and good that we could use sno toys. Thanks to the very kind owner for information and help during this stay. In the summer I would visit the hotel again focusing on cycling in this fantastic area.

Fantastic. Highly Recommended!
Fantastic hotel with great views of the lake and Mount Are. Spacious room with good beds. The staff are very friendly and will be happy to advise you on activities in the area. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious with lots of homemade products. It is recommended to eat in a restaurant; value for money - good and very tasty food. We will definitely come back here!

It was not possible to contact reception at 21:45. Called several times but the phone was switched off. Otherwise the staff was super nice.

A boring hotel stay
Nothing!
The room had a sewage smell from the bathroom on arrival. No shelves to put your toiletries. No storage areas in the room and it felt bare and impersonal. No TV in the room but shared with others in the basement. The breakfast was below all criticism. The hotel is definitely not value for money and not something we can recommend.

Just what we needed!
Visited Kall and stayed at Hotel Kallgården, away from the crowds, stress and the spread of corona virus in Åre! Enjoyed the view of Kallsjön and the snow at the back of Åreskutan. With the "warmth and light" of the wonderful atmosphere, there was no need for the sun to shine on us. Stylish and fresh room, wonderful beds. The hotel breathes genuineness and peacefulness, an idyll! The food was absolutely superb, fish from Lake Kallsjön, most of what was served was locally produced. The staff gets the highest rating from us and we will definitely return./Pelle and Marie

Calmness
Good thing. The bed is very comfortable. Clean room. Nice breakfast. The hotel has a restaurant which is very convenient to dine as there is nothing else in the area.
The hotel does not have a lift, which can be inconvenient for the elderly and carry heavy suitcases.

A beautiful room and a wonderful spring box. The hostess was really FANTASTIC, breakfast is delicious and very extensive, if we are in the area we will definitely come back !!
