Delectable and friendly staff. Helpful brothers. Very good and plentiful breakfast with a fantastic view. Natural air conditioning that you even had to get dressed.
Liked everything. Cozy bright room with everything you need. The main thing is that there are plenty of warm blankets, hot water, a kettle and tea, because Nuwara Eliya is cool at night. Very hospitable and pleasant hosts. We recommend ordering breakfasts here, they are very tasty and large :) The hosts organize a free transfer from the city if you need it. Chaamind also gave us a wonderful tour around the city. Would definitely come back here ❤️❤️❤️
The bedding was great, the terrace offers a beautiful view of the tea fields, the comfort of the room, the staff available if needed
Housing a little out of the way but quiet (about 25 minutes walk from the center uphill)
The kindness and hospitality of the owners of the guest house. The very bright room, with terrace which offers a superb view of the mountains. The impeccable cleanliness of the room, sheets and towels. Excellent and plentiful breakfast! Very warm to sleep because 3 blankets in the bed. Very hot water which is appreciable in this city.
A bit far from the city center.
Clean, delicious, beautiful view.
Were in the hotel for two nights. Very hospitable hosts: they helped with all emerging questions, difficulties and wishes, they were always in touch. The hotel itself is small but very comfortable. The balcony offers a stunning view of the tea plantation, in the morning you can watch how tea is harvested. Impressions were very bright and warm :) If you are by car, you need to keep in mind that the check-in to the hotel is not the easiest, as everywhere in the mountains. But we did it :) In terms of price / quality ratio - an excellent option, feel free to choose
The friendliness and care of the hosts
Cleanliness, rustic room, thermal insulation
We really enjoyed the hospitality and kindness of the couple who welcomed us. We were well received despite our delay in biscuits and tea. Our hosts care about our well-being. The room is nicely decorated and the bed is comfortable. The view upon waking up is incredibly beautiful on the tea fields! You can watch it for hours. We had our own terrace which is much appreciated. We had breakfast in addition to the room which was a real treat (fruit, scrambled eggs, dal roast, pancakes, sandwich bread etc)! If you want to experience closer to the locals, this is the accommodation for you. But don't panic, you keep your privacy and our hosts are very discreet yet very concerned about us. We totally recommend for a real human exchange and a great view.
Nothing.
the room and bed are very comfortable. The bathroom is a little outdated. Very nice view from the terrace
Quite far from the city center
Very kind and caring hosts, especially in the current conditions (curfew during the stay). Super bed linen, electric heating and hair dryer available, possibility to make tea. We were treated to a small welcome snack Nice view from the room The hosts recommended a good restaurant, provided transport and organized a tour of the tea factory.
nothing
The kindness of our hosts The breakfast is very good!!! The bed is very comfortable!!! Beautiful view of the tea pickers
As we told the owner, a shower curtain is welcome as well as a curtain behind the bedroom door to block out the light coming from the living room.
staff sympathy
Super friendly owner. Did everything to make you feel comfortable. Beautiful view.
We didn't like the place. The room was not clean (very humid, no heating despite being a very cold region, it smelled of mold, the paint was peeling off the walls, the bathroom was always wet, etc. the British part), the owner took pictures of us all the time (for publicity?) , hot water was rare, wifi did not work,...
Large, well-appointed single room overlooking the tea plantation. Large and functional bathroom Rich and varied breakfast Friendly family, attentive, smiling, friendly (tea, snacks, fruit juices.....)
We first came here in 2019, in 2022 we decided to live here again, as this housing is ideal in terms of price and quality. The house belongs to a good and friendly family. The owner is extremely friendly and courteous. On arrival both times they offered hot tea and gingerbread cookies. The room was perfectly clean and lit by natural light due to the large windows. The balcony offers a wonderful view of the tea plantation. The bathroom had very hot water. This is what you need to warm up after walking in the cold Nuwara Eliya. It may be cold in the room, but feel free to ask the host for a heater. In any case, you will sleep comfortably at night, as you will sleep under warm blankets. It so happened that I celebrated my birthday here. In a conversation with the owner, I told him about it. In the evening, I was pleasantly surprised that this family prepared a gift for me in the form of a cake with my name on it! It was unexpected and very nice! We sat and drank tea together, it was a very good evening. For this I want to once again thank the whole family from the bottom of my heart! I wish this house and the whole family prosperity, and further expansion of the number of rooms! In conclusion, I would like to say that I will definitely stay here again if I am in Nuwara Eliya. Definitely recommend!!!
The accommodation is located in a very quiet area above the city. Our room had a great view of the tea plantation and a bit of the city. The staff is very friendly! They have recently started building a lodge and are very interested in their guests, accommodating and can provide useful information. Perfect English.
a beautiful view, the hosts are very hospitable, they treated us to hot tea after a cold and wet road on a bike. hot water is hot!!! and not a little warm, as in many hotels in Lanka. Is there a kettle, tea and coffee in the room
we got in a cool time, there are no heaters in the rooms, but the owners give a lot of blankets, so I slept well at night, but I didn’t want to get out from under the covers in the morning)) I didn’t like the doors to the room, they are made of cloudy glass, you can see the silhouettes and the lights on in the lobby.
I went from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya by train and was greeted at the train station by the very friendly owner and his brother. The accommodation is very quiet and you have a great view from the balcony. Everything is very clean, very comfortable bed and a good breakfast of fruit, toast, butter, jam, roti, dal, coconut sambol and a pot of tea. They are very kind and will help you with any questions. With the owner's brother, I had a great trip to viewpoints, a tea plantation, and a beautiful waterfall. Able to tell a lot about everything in the area, very interesting! I can totally recommend this accommodation!
Nothing, everything is fine
really everything, nicely furnished, nice view, great location in the mountains. but what I liked the most was the owners who were very nice and helpful. I felt very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! I will definitely come back again!
everything was perfect(:
The family greeted us incredibly warmly at the station and treated us to hot tea and cookies. Despite an early check-in, our room was ready. We spent the day with the owner's brother who organized a wonderful tour of Nuwara Eliya for us which I would also like to recommend to everyone at the moment. Including swimming in a secluded waterfall. Chaame also drove us to and from dinner in the evenings, all in all it was a lovely day.
Unlike the south of the island, Nuwara Eliya is cold. A heater/fan heater in the room would have been nice. However, the bed was provided with fairly thick blankets.
A modern guesthouse with comfortable, spacious rooms and very good bedding! We had a room with a bay window that overlooks the valley, so the view is very beautiful. Very good Sri Lankan breakfast prepared by our hosts. No problem with hot water, even if a little more pressure would be noticeable. The hosts are very kind, my husband came to pick us up at the station. He prepared the program for the day, so we took the liberty of orientating ourselves: a waterfall, an observation deck, and a visit to a tea plantation. Thank you Gandhi for accompanying us on this tour! The next morning a very pleasant tour of the Horton Plains with Chaami. Thank you for everything !
A shower curtain would be nice. The guest house is very new so the decor might lack a bit of "warmth". There is work going on to expand the guest house but it didn't bother us at all during our stay.
We stayed for two nights, the guesthouse is located in a picturesque place, we were met at the Nona Oya railway station, taken to the hotel, placed, organized excursions around the area at our request for adequate money, Chaani is a very attentive and accurate driver. Also, at our request, a good dinner was prepared for us. We are very pleased with the time spent in Nuwara Eliya at Seeming Lodge.
Welcome, the owners are very nice. They give Sri Lankan cooking classes that any chef in the best restaurant would envy. I had a large room with two bay windows, the view from the window is magnificent. Very quiet place, highly recommended. The owner's brother is a very good guide, he can give good advice and tell about his country.
It's cold, but I was caught in a heavy rain in Nuwara Eliya, so it's not the guest house's fault. A little heat wouldn't hurt. The guest house is brand new (6 months old) so while the common areas are poorly decorated, this will come with time.
