Villa Cookie Aunt

Apart from the Vipassana retreat, the highlight of my trip to Sri Lanka was my stay here. 🤩 I will definitely come back to this place again. ☺ A real recommendation from the heart: quiet, surrounded by nature, next to the beach, located by the river and away from the tourism of Main, a great oasis of tranquility. It's great to sit back and relax or go on one or another excursion. You will definitely not be bored here! 😃 I was completely overwhelmed when I arrived and saw the system. I had my own little villa / cabin with a princess bed and a fabulous open bathroom as I knew it from Bali, where I saw the papaya tree in the morning and the moon in the evening. It was very quiet, and I could continue to listen to the sounds of nature and animals day and night, like in a mediation center, fall asleep and wake up with them instead of tuk-tuk and street noise, as in Dambulla and Kandy. Here you were not bothered by people in the house or on the street when you walked to the beach or to the temple. The family immediately made it clear that there will always be someone around the clock for you if you need anything. Whether it is a trip to the next city for shopping, food / drink, a trip to the beach or they will be happy to accompany you if you want to be accompanied. They arranged for me to have a masseuse who massaged me in the pool house for an hour. They also suggested that I invite a yoga teacher. I looked into the kitchen and now I can cook my favorite dish and appetizer "Coconut roti". 👩‍🍳 They also have a pool and river access where you can do stand-up paddleboarding or go on a super beautiful catamaran tour. Oh, and with every dish they brought me, they always explained to me what it was and what ingredients it was made from.
