The location is good.
The beds are very very uncomfortable, very low pillows, plastic mattress topper and spring mattress that rattled every time you moved. Also, the room faced a street and there was noise all night. When I say all, it is from 12 at night that we go to bed until 07:30 in the morning.

Perfect hotel
Modern hotel very well located a few meters from the beach. It is right in the narrow streets where you will find pubs, bars and restaurants where you can taste the appetizing and famous pinchos and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere that surrounds this area. The reception is in another hotel about 50 m away. They give you the card that opens the hotel and you come and go when you want. Quiet, clean and modern hotel. Comfortable room and you could barely hear the noise from the street (it is also true that we were on the top floor, which by the way had a large terrace) We parked in the free Salberdin car park, which is 800 m away (about a 10-minute walk) and in a good area. Parking with gravel floor, we did not have any problems. Also, according to what the hotel told us, it was a good choice. We visited Donosti the next day (San Sebastián) with public transport (another good option ;-) ) just 7 minutes from the hotel is the train station. We took the E1 (I think I remember a €2.55 ticket) and when we return in the afternoon the UK10 bus at a similar price and getting off at the Zarautz (ARGI) stop leaves you two minutes from the hotel (we're going to cross the street). Another day we visit Getaria, which is 5 km away and there is a beautiful walk along the coast that connects the two towns. We went by car and to park you have the option of leaving it in the upper area (Parque Potzuagako area, kalea Magallanes, Herrerieta... which is free and you walk down 7 minutes and then go up saving you the slopes with the escalators available Getaria Be careful, we are talking about the month of October.
We liked everything but we agree with the other users in the smell of drainage that is smelled on the first floor. But come on, it's not important either :-)

A classic in Zarautz
Hotel we've been to before, very well located, comfortable, clean, with everything you need to spend a few days in comfort. For the years it has, and that it is listed as a star, it is very good. Rooms with the right sizes (at least the 403), as well as the toilet (maybe a little more light would be needed here) The hotel's proposal would be to have some kind of agreement with a car park, since parking in Zarautz is difficult and expensive.

Cozy and bright room for one person. Spacious and very clean bathroom. Very good location, close to the beach and many restaurants and entertainment venues. It has a small desk that allows you to work remotely or make video calls if needed. Well connected by buses to Zumaya, Getaria and San Sebastian.
If you have trouble falling asleep, soundproofing is not enough. Mattress topper plastic, noisy.

Warm welcome in Zarautz

And unbeatable treatment from everyone: care and kindness at the Reception, sympathy at the Txiki Polit restaurant and with the cleaning service at Hotel Olatu. Highly recommended.

The smell of tobacco did not allow us to enjoy the stay

It smelled of tobacco a lot, without ventilating it had a balcony but without discretion if you left it open they would see you from the house across the street. You have to go to check in and pick up the keys at another establishment, it is relatively close but not practical. In this type of establishment, the best thing to do is check in online and use a smart lock with a mobile or code opening. We went with the idea of having dinner in Zarauz and spending the night to return in the morning, but with the smell of tobacco we decided to go home after dinner and not sleep there. Not having staff and reception in the establishment leads to losing control of disrespectful guests who break the rules of the establishment by smoking inside the rooms, however the room should have been properly ventilated since we entered late, around 9:30 p.m. , in addition to existing odor and smoke neutralizing devices for this type of case.

The location is actually good for Zarautz. Central, walking distance to the beach etc. The hotel is very small and has no reception and you can access it with a card. Meals, if desired, are offered in another room. The rooms were cleaned every day, everything is fine. Value for money is ok. The accommodation is suitable for vacationers who spend the whole day away and do not need the comfort of a hotel, but appreciate cleanliness. I booked this accommodation again for April because I love Zarautz and I liked this "hotel" - I've been there several times - for the value for money.
The Spaniards/Basques love to party and all comparable rooms are in small streets in the squares where it is noisy until late at night. But that doesn't devalue the Olatu hotel for me.

The location of the hotel is unbeatable. A step from the music square and a stone's throw from the beach. An area with a great atmosphere and good bars. In addition, txiki polit provides parking maps in the blue zone at a cost of EUR 6 per day. Highly recommended as it is nearly impossible to park unless it is in the blue zone. We would have liked the TV to be better, or at least with a nearby outlet so that a chrome cast could be plugged in.

Improved stay in a "hotel"
We loved the room we finally stayed in (I'll explain why below), the very friendly and attentive service, and the fantastic location. Getting to the hotel is also very easy from the center of Zarautz.
I booked a room at this hotel (and nowhere else) because I wanted a room with a balcony. In addition to stating this on the type of booking I made, I wrote to the property to ask about it and confirmed that I didn't mind a twin room but we needed a balcony. On Friday at 8 o'clock in the afternoon we were settled (the girl is very nice), but when we checked into the room there was no balcony in the room. We returned to the registration point, but the girl was not there. The other person, very kind, also had no problem and quickly changed us to a fantastic room. If the hotel were fully booked, I don't think this would have happened, so I recommend improving this point. Beds could be improved.

The price was exorbitant for what it offers, although in this sense it follows the same line as all Zarautz offers. Parking nearby for 30 euros per day, you should not look for parking, park your car and drag your bags, it's 100m.

Check-in takes place at another hotel. Not easy to find out. Booking is said to have told me that - but I didn't see it. The 3-bed room was very small, the ceiling was too low, the window was located about 2 meters away from the smoking area (!!!), 3 meters on the right was a huge exhaust gas system from the catering trade, dust bunnies on the floor, defective shower fixture. And all this at an indisputably inflated price. Since booked through booking, nothing could be done. Zero service. It was really bad. I felt massively ripped off.

Lovely night in Sarause
In our case, we did not choose breakfast. The location is excellent
The worst thing about Sarause is that you always have to leave your car in the parking lot, because parking is terrible, especially in July. Additional 24 euros to be added to the trip. :(

Good message
The location is very good, next to the beach and in an area with a lot of atmosphere. The facilities are quite new.
The bed is very uncomfortable and small for a double. We left the room at 9 in the morning and at 2 it was still uncleaned. They only gave us two mini-sachets of gel for a two-day stay. The rooms a bit noisy.

Very pleasant in the city of Zarautx
The excellent location Non-existent parking. To move suitcases a long way from the nearest car park The bed hard and bad. I didn't sleep last night.
LOW COST accommodations must be appropriately indicated in the advertisements. This was NOT advertised as an accommodation of this type. No reception. No room service. Without other services for guests. The worst, without help in case of need. Only the person who received us at the TXIQUI HOTEL accompanied us to the rooms. We never heard from anyone again. The extremely high price for the service. They should consider that they save on staff, assistance and facilities for guests and IT IS NOT REFLECTED ON THE BILL. I would never recommend it.

Checking in at another hotel is a bit of a hassle and wastes your time. The bed is a bit small and uncomfortable.

Great location, good attention from the staff and a bit of noise in general.
The location is perfect for everything, the attention of the woman at the reception, the terrace of the room is very large and bright, although we could not enjoy it due to the rain. There was no particular noise either on the street or in the hotel, but it must be said that there were few vacationers either.
Mattresses. Every time you move the springs and the mattress make a lot of noise... It was the worst thing in the room. On the other hand, it was a small room (501) for a double room with an extra bed. You could hardly move around the room. Small closet to leave and hang clothes. Bedside tables without drawers.

Practical.
What we liked the most was the location as it is right in the heart of Zarautz. Impeccable cleanliness and very comfortable bed.
The heating worked poorly, we rarely managed to get warm. There was also a small stove, which also did not work. However, the very friendly staff came and just in time if the weather got warmer. Then again no. Also, in the Booking photos, the room seemed bigger and brighter, with a sea view. We ended up in a small room with no view. It was very nice, but we were shocked because we expected something else.

Old city in a second
The best thing is the location, it's right in the old town of Zarautz and that's where all the bars go to pintxos. The room was correct, with a large bathroom.
The bed is by far the worst. It was the springs that made a lot of noise when moving, and the pillow, tiny, maybe it tastes, but it's uncomfortable for me.
