In short, when you enter Hostal Pepi, you already know what you can find, but in a 4-star country hotel this is unthinkable.

In the rooms they must put mosquito nets to avoid the thousands of flies that are in it. The cleaning is very poor, used bottles in the fridge, hair on the bed, crumbs between the sheets. In a restaurant, hair is in food.

The fridge was clearly dirty inside; the bathroom is also not very clean. The rooms are quite brightly colored. The place is very isolated and somewhat sad. Despite this, there was a lot of noise at night.

The bed was very uncomfortable, also one leg of the bed was broken, the sheets to cover us looked like sandpaper and didn't warm anything, the decoration of many things was broken, the tv to watch something you had to put your netflix account or whatever it was. If not, you couldn't see anything, the bathroom was badly located, just the door opened onto the bed, and if someone defecates, imagine the smell and the noise. The worst part was that the receptionist was very unfriendly or not at all friendly, she didn't even talk to us, and if she did, she was reluctant. no doubt a very high price to accept such a disappointment, they didn't even have the option to include breakfast in the suite...

I wish the room was somewhat better soundproofed as we had some pretty obnoxious neighbors the first night who were noisy until 3am and you could hear pretty much everything. Another aspect that could be improved would be the quality of the pillows as they were very flat.

Upon entering, the floor was dirty. One of the glasses was dirty, with traces of toothpaste, despite the fact that it was "sanitized" by the plastic that covered it. The light switch in the sink didn't work and we had to do it all ourselves to turn the light off.

Well, let's start with the fact that the number was not the same as in the photographs, we got the number n14, it was the last one they had left. On entering we found it very picturesque, different from what you see in other hotels. The switches are old, that doesn't mean they have to be dirty, very dirty... the switch in the bathroom was hanging on the wall, it turned out to be dangerous, especially if you travel with children, as in our case. The shower head was cracked... The slot for the sink was very dirty.... The table lamp was left on the floor by the husband because it didn't have a leg and could fall on the floor. And the bedspread, well full of hair (pets allowed) we realized this detail when we went to bed it was 11:30 pm and we were non-stop all day and very tired so we didn't want to say anything until the next morning we were already leaving . How was the last room they left... well, it wouldn't make much sense to warn them about the hairs on the bed, so we took off the covers and went to bed. Mention the girl at the reception, very friendly. Summary: this is not 4 stars, NOT FAR, overpriced 109e + 20e for extra bed

Without accepting constructive criticism, due to the increase in cases of covid in the province of Segovia, when my companion handed over her ID, she realized that the employee who attended her at the reception was without a mask, as she told her, and far from accepting a mistake and accepting constructive criticism, the employee told her that everything was fine because she had already been vaccinated, to which my companion explained that she was not exempt, since she was in a closed space, facing the public and vaccination did not kill the virus or prevent transmission, an extreme that the employee did not understand and then ended up wearing a mask. That when my companion was asked if we wanted to dine there she was told no as she didn't give us enough deposit for what was going on so we stayed the night and the next morning we left with no apologies and no offer of free coffee if a roommate had one. It is a pity that everything ended like this, with such a good view as the establishment.

What they didn't fix so quickly was the hot water in the shower, it didn't work, we discussed it at reception and while we had breakfast they fixed it, but the reality is that it still didn't work... The breakfast was good, although a bit simple.

The breakfast seemed a bit poor to me, a buffet with a small amount of food. Although the rooms were clean, the surroundings of the hotel, the reception patios and the patio where the building is being expanded are in a state of disrepair and are not being cleaned. The menu of the restaurant didn't seem very diverse to me for a place that is said to have three forks, it's not at all like it was in the past, I was around 2000

The sink did not drain and after complaining at Reception it continued the same the next day. The room phone did not work. And the wall lights and sockets were half loose. In short, a beautiful building with poor maintenance.

I booked with booking a superior double room which was a bit more expensive than the offer they had that day and when I arrived at the accommodation it was definitely better as they put me up on the second floor it was almost like in thirdly, and that it had a small porthole that couldn't be done with anything, and it was terribly hot. I have asthma problems and I didn't think I was going to be put in Palomar, so the person in charge of the hotel at the time very kindly told me that they were going to leave us to move to another room on the first floor with a big window and above all I didn't have to climb so many stairs. They did just that and the truth is that all the staff are very friendly, very helpful and ready to help with anything. This is an inn with a somewhat strange original decoration, but with its own “this and that”. The rest is correct and the breakfast although I liked it is a little late as it starts at 9:30 but it is well served and it is also very correct. To highlight bread and croissants fresh from the oven. They charge you 10€ to bring your pet but the truth is they love animals.
