The room was very large, clean, the bathroom had underfloor heating. The beds were extraordinarily comfortable. The breakfast is very rich. Every day there was water and soft drinks in the minibar free of charge. Coffee capsules for the Nespresso machine are also available daily. There were also 4 Majorcan biscuits in the room. With the inclement weather that prevailed during our stay, the underground parking was very convenient.
It is only possible to get a bite to eat through room service between the end of the menu at the Mediteranea restaurant at 5:00 p.m. and the start of dinner at 6:30 p.m. No cake or other sweet treats are offered with afternoon coffee or tea. The bar was sometimes not manned during bar hours because the bartender also had to do room service. You could use additional staff there. The hotel's restaurant is very small and in the off-season, when many outside areas are closed, it is difficult to get a seat there.

The Executive Rooms are located on the 6th floor and offer beautiful views of the sea and the bay of Camp de Mar. The choice and quality of the breakfast is very good. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and make you feel very welcome. The hotel is not located directly on the beach, but in a beautiful complex with a large swimming pool. The nearby beach "Camp de Mar" is not recommended as it is crowded (high season) and visited by the public from all nearby hotels of different categories. However, the hotel's location is ideal for visiting the nearby first-class beach clubs such as the Gran Folies. I would like Steigenberger to offer beach service to guests (perhaps in the form of cooperation with a quality beach club). Hygiene standards as part of the COVID-19 precautions have been observed perfectly. Suggestions for improvement: - Background music at breakfast - On days when there is no live music in the restaurant, also background music to create a more pleasant atmosphere
Unfortunately, the offer and quality of meals in the room does not correspond to a 5* hotel. Since it is not possible to order from the own restaurant "Laguna" (very good) to the room, the choice of room service is very limited. The menu is more focused on fast food (pizza, burgers, Caesar salad, spaghetti, sandwiches), which is very disappointing. The quality of the spaghetti bolognese or pizza margherita does not match the quality of a 5 star hotel. Despite ordering al dente, the pasta was overcooked, the noodles appear to have been pre-cooked and reheated briefly in hot water. The fact that there is an additional charge of 5.00 euros for each delivery to the room is irrelevant even in an international comparison. We also noticed several times that the serving trolley with dishes and leftovers remained in the corridor all night, sometimes until late in the morning, and was not picked up by room service. This is problematic as the hotel corridors (at least in our case on the 5th floor) were not air conditioned.

We dined at the El Mallorquín restaurant and the offer is sparse and scarce. We ordered pamboli and the quality of cheese and meat was not 5 stars. More meat dishes were missing, there was only an Iberian secret and three fish dishes. The rest they call "tapas", but they were not tapas, but simple snacks. This is not a 5 star hotel restaurant. The breakfast is very rich, but the quality of the food served is similar to the breakfasts of a 3-star hotel, how are they different from 5- and 3-star? There is no internal telephone in the corridors and common areas, and there are many corridors. There are shortcomings in room service (the screen let the water out, poorly adjusted). There is no pillow menu according to the hotel category. Although the property and most of the customers are of German nationality, out of courtesy and respect, they must provide all information and signage also in Spanish. If this is not done, it seems that they only need the Germans. They charge 15 euros for parking, at this time of the year and with low occupancy it would be more elegant if they offered it for free as an upgrade or in any case at a price not exceeding 6 euros. The hot tub was out of order, apparently due to an electrical failure in the panel, according to Mrs. Ingrid, and had to be notified a few hours before using it. However, she was very kind and friendly.

At the entrance to the hotel complex there is no information about the reception for the first visitors (upon arrival they ended up in a multi-storey car park). The door to the corridor, unfortunately, does not close completely. On a rainy day, both light and noise (howling wind) penetrated through the gap. Pedestal in the bathroom (1 step up to the toilet and 1 step back to the shower) - risk of tripping and not barrier-free. The indoor pool smelled very strongly of chlorine. The beach and the small bay of Camp de Mar can be reached on foot in 7 minutes. In high season, the beach is probably crowded. However, the hotel is a very good hideaway for those looking for peace and quiet. If you want to visit other beaches in the area, you will need a car. The hotel is slightly elevated, so the windows offer a beautiful panorama. We also enjoyed the expert advice and the massages at the wellness centre. We will be back for our exclusive breaks and hours of pampering together.
