It is always interesting to spend a few days there.
Amy and colleague take very good care of their guests and do a great job. Walden's house is very cozy, there are many restaurants and bars within walking distance, but the alley is very quiet.
The dogs in the park opposite are sometimes very noisy in the morning. At least you don't need an alarm clock.

1 night at The Walden House
Very good location overlooking Table Mountain. Restaurants and bars within walking distance. Clough Street is right around the corner. We received a very good welcome and the room was very clean and well appointed.

feel at home in a good area in a private hotel where you feel at home.
2 wonderful women who run the hotel. fantastic fresh breakfast. every day they asked what we want for breakfast. nice big rooms, balcony/garden to relax. lovely safe area with many good restaurants. in the morning in all the sights of the city.

Would I choose again: clean, friendly, great location
Very friendly staff; got up very early for me because I had to get to the airport early and was waiting with me for a taxi. The room and bathroom were very nice and very clean. The location is excellent. Highly recommended, would have liked to stay longer than one night. :-)

Very good
The location is great, very close to cafes and restaurants. Very nice building, tastefully decorated. The area above is very quiet and beautiful. The public veranda offers partial views of CT and Table Mountain.
As the building is older, it was very noisy, at least in my room (garden extension). Also, there was no room service for two days (probably due to Corona). At least I was expecting a little compensation.

Anytime again
Walden House has seven rooms, you are always a guest, not a room. All the staff are great, everything is clean, and the location and infrastructure allow for many distances on foot.

Wellness at Walden House
The staff are very courteous and friendly and will fulfill all requests immediately. I felt very comfortable at Walden House and would love to return. The breakfast was delicious too.

Very nice accommodation in a great location
Very nice rooms with very nice rooms, good and sufficient breakfast, perfect location for us because Cloof Street and Long Street are within walking distance and you can get home safely even at night without hesitation. The staff is very attentive and helpful, will help with all questions, take care of reservations, etc.
Nothing! The only thing that could be criticized is that the pool was not so clean that it was suggested to cool down. But we weren't in the pool for a rest either :-)

You can enjoy wonderful views of Table Mountain from the hotel's veranda. The hotel is centrally located close to Cloof Street, famous for its bars and good restaurants. The hotel is very familiar. The staff are helpful and polite. The rooms are absolutely clean. Breakfast is varied and lovingly prepared.
