The view from the hotel window Nice beach Large bathrooms wifi ok Beautiful and large terraces
Breakfast, unfortunately for us, was the worst of all the hotels where we were in the Seychelles. Toast + jam and fruit (nothing salty). Very noisy from the street Minus for the river that looked like sewage next to the hotel itself.
The room is very complete. And the beach is very beautiful. Betty was very kind.
We had a room that had a door that communicated with another, so you could hear everything. It wasn't very nice. In addition, the area is perfect if you are going to rent a car, if not, better look for a more central area, because at 6 the buses stop passing and you are sold.
The accommodation was very nice with direct access to the beach. The rooms were very spacious and super clean. All of the staff were totally helpful. Supermarkets and the bus stop were very close to the guest house. We had a great week at Jamelah Beach Guest House.
The location, hospitality, comfort, cleanliness, in short almost everything.
Only 2 shadows on the board. 1 - The toilets in a bathroom without a door... it's very average. 2 - The establishment's beach is great, a pity that the ravine which runs right next to it, which flows into the sea, looks more like a sewer flow (color and smell) than a river. As a result, we do not swim nearby, a shame for an establishment that has direct beach access.
value for money
nothing
Location right on the beach, great reception at the reception, simple breakfast but ok
Several dogs in and around property, lots of passing vehicles with loud bass at night
very nice staff, great location
Welcome with some advice on what to visit! The day of our arrival, we were able to drop off our luggage before check-in so that we could visit Mahé in peace, which is very practical! Spacious and comfortable room with a shared kitchen. Good location, close to several supermarkets, take away, restaurant, bus stop
Breakfast is simple: white bread with butter and jam, a small fruit platter. For two nights was enough but if more nights it can be repetitive.
Location on the beach, friendly staff, clean rooms, honest price. Modest breakfast. I recommend this facility
Everything OK
Spacious and clean accommodation, air-conditioned, sea view. Professional and very friendly reception staff. Simple but quality breakfast. Possibility of transfer airport, marina or others. Deserves better than 2 stars. Surroundings not super touristy (but it's not so bad). Beautiful beaches in the south of the island not far away.
A little shade on the beach would be a plus.
near the beach, calm, spacious apartment, pleasant and smiling staff. turtle park. very well served by bus.
We really liked the location right on the sea and the really good service and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Jennifer gave us good tips about staying on the island and she was also able to speak some German with us. The two dogs Tyson and Major also gave us a lot of joy.
The walls in the apartment are very thin and can therefore let a lot of noise through. We had a newly married couple with friends living next to us who were still very noisy at 4 a.m. at night. Even after I asked several times if it couldn't be a little quieter, they kept going. The proximity of the road is sometimes a problem at night, since there are enough people on the island who like to play their music with their bass-strong cars and then unfortunately also shop in front of the supermarket opposite. Even with the beach chairs, it is not well ordered. There are only two reasonably decent loungers, the rest are floor pans, not very comfortable because you have to throw yourself on the floor all the time. My suggestion is to set up more reasonable loungers to feel comfortable on the beach section. What would also be nice is a small cocktail bar to get into conversation with other guests. Otherwise I would love to come back anytime.
-Jennifer at the front desk speaks English and German, she is very friendly and supportive -Location close to the airport - pick up nearby - location near the beach - turtle plant
Breakfast! I was already wondering why some guests bring full bags of groceries for breakfast. When I saw a mini plate of jam for 2 persons and 6 slices of toast, I understood. The fruit plate was ok. Unfortunately, the coffee was not to my liking.
proximity to airport, beach and great views, everything is easily accessible and great staff!
there were not enough outlets, there was no warm water, and when they were cooking downstairs, all the smell penetrated the room
Very nice staff, very helpful. Beautiful setting with a private beach. A small enclosure for turtles that you can feed. Rooms clean and well equipped. Shops across the street. Good localization. next to the bus stop
Poor breakfast - an egg could be added. During the entire stay, it was the only hotel that did not offer eggs, which made the breakfasts not very filling. They also don't serve drinking water during breakfast. We were told that if we wanted water we had to bring our own. The walls are quite thin so we could hear everything from the room next door.
Jennifer at the front desk was very friendly and took care of all our concerns quickly and satisfactorily. It should be noted that she took over the management of the guest house just a few days ago. Day trip and car rental was easily arranged. There are several restaurants nearby. However, like almost everywhere on Mahe, they are in the higher price range. Usually you pay between 20 and 30 euros for a main course. A rum distillery and an artisan village are also within walking distance. There are 2 supermarkets and a bus stop in front of the hotel.
Breakfast was great, warm and friendly staff! Turtles, beach by the sea and comfort - everything is great!
Air conditioning near the room and ants
location…private beach…welcome..cleanliness…kindness of the whole team…
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Ready to help you and everyone is very smiling! Very large rooms, large and comfortable rooms! The breakfasts are plentiful and excellent (tea, coffee, milk, local fruits including banana, mango, papaya, apple and passion fruit, toast, butter and jam). The enclosed structure turtles were a hit with my 18 month old daughter! The sea is not beautiful, but still it is a structure with excellent value for money. Great sea for surfing as it is a very windy area. Bus stops are only a few blocks away and make it easy to get around the island! There are two mini markets in front of the building, which have everything you need for a holiday. There are 2/3 very nice and good places to eat within 5 and 10 minutes walk!
Nothing.
The owner met us many hours before check-in, made us a complimentary breakfast, provided us with a bathroom, and showed us the sights of the area. The staff has always been very friendly. The private beach is very beautiful and equipped with sun loungers and showers. They have 9 giant turtles that they can interact with.
It so happened that they didn't make our bed.
The location is very central to Mahe and very easy to reach both by car and bus. The apartment was spacious and still clean.
On closer examination, i.e. the top drawers in the closet are dirty and the room as a whole is quite old and there are obvious signs of wear in many places (wall paint, bathtub, etc.) The air conditioner in the next room (right in front of our window) was unfortunately very loud .
Close to the beach
a little more expensive
It had its own small beach and you could also use a sunbed :) Opposite there were 2 small shops where you could buy water, snacks, and durable food. 5-15 minute walk to Peti's several breweries (take away)
The windows and doors of the terrace were not very good, so when the wind blew (which was almost every day at night), it got between the 2 sliding doors and was quite loud, so more I couldn't even sleep through the night. But if you wear earplugs, it will definitely help, or you'll leave the sliding door open :D (you can still hear it, but not so harshly)
Close to the bus stop, grocery stores, take aways. Breakfast good, although monotonous. private beach. Friendly service. You can use the common area after check-out until you leave for the airport.
Poor wifi. Loud noise from the street (at least in the room above the reception). On weekends, on the beach next to the hotel, the locals organize very loud parties.
Very good value for money: the location right on the beach and the breakfast for the price was really great!
Our room was rather small
Good location right on the beach and close to the airport. Breakfast with fresh fruits.
A bit noisy at night because of the main street. Unfortunately the hot water in the bathroom did not work.
The accommodation is in a very good location, easily accessible, directly on the waterfront. Clean, comfortable, spacious. Check-in is flexible, we were able to book the room much earlier.
Breakfast is the same, always the same. The water stops in the shower, it does not drain properly. Wifi is very unreliable.
Clean rooms, big shower, comfortable bed, not too hard and not too soft. The breakfast is simple but good 👍 Can our last day stay in the room until the evening for an extra charge. Friendly👭👫👬
Almost everywhere the pillow is too high. No fun after cervical surgery. On Mahe, the water is turned off from 10 am to 6 pm every day. Therefore, at this time you can not take a shower here. However, our other guesthouses have been equipped with a water tank and have had no problems.
bed linen renovated room
breakfast the beach is not particularly beautiful, there is a river in front of it that crosses the city. taxi service, a bit expensive!
The staff is very welcoming, the rooms are well located, the breakfast is decent and the beds are large and comfortable. The air conditioning/fan equipment is good. The proximity to the beach is very popular.
Beautiful hotel on the beach, rooms are clean and functional. The bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast, toast was wrapped in kitchen paper, no bread basket, no eggs.
Location right on the beach. The surf is heard at night. The room is not the first freshness, but still in good condition. Turtles on the territory - original.
The beach is not inspiring, although the view is beautiful - it is better to go to other beaches if you have a car. The breakfast is rather poor (fruits, toast, butter and tea or coffee) - it was ok for us, but might not be enough for others.
It was ok for 1 night - proximity to the airport was critical for us. Friendly staff, parking, lots of takeaways within walking distance and a supermarket across the street. Breakfast was ok. We were still able to use the beach after check out. Not suitable for swimming in the morning/noon due to low tide. Outdoor showers are also available - great before the trip home, of course.
The room seemed worn out. The wall in the shower room was leaking, water all over the floor.
Nice hotel overlooking the beach! We had to leave very early the next day and enjoyed the beautiful sunrise!
Noisy
Right on the beach and close to the airport, but no aircraft noise. A bit out of the way, but you can easily get to the south of Mahe by bus or rental car. Very good takeaway within walking distance and 2 mini shops opposite the hotel. Takamaka distillery nearby. An absolute recommendation to have a tasting there. The guesthouse is very cheap but still recommended. We had a room in the main building, spacious, overlooking the sea and turtle enclosure with air conditioning and a refrigerator. Absolute recommendation for 3 days. For 2 weeks I would choose a livelier place
There was no choice of eggs for breakfast. The reason is that it was only a continental breakfast. The pre-arranged transfer didn't work, just like when we left. But it was positive that the owner's daughter spontaneously took us to the airport.
The breakfast was ok but could contain a bit more meat for example. something sausage. As mentioned, the staff are very nice and helpful. the beach is good.
It should have a little more sun loungers.
Very nice private beach. A very pleasant and very kind welcome, because the room taken was too small (for us and the child), we were able to easily get an apartment where, in addition, the view was exceptional. Being able to take a shower and enjoy the beach even when we checked out. A small 3-legged dog, although quite complex from a culinary point of view (gentleman does not like brioches).
Well, exactly the same three-legged dog that plays the role of security guard at 3am too seriously!
The hotel is reserved for its proximity to the airport. Very comfortable beds, small terrace overlooking the sea, very nice! The hosts are very friendly and organized breakfast for us very early in the morning. Thanks again ! Good value for money for one night.
Location right on the beach, beautiful sunrises. Ideal for exploring the southern part of the island. Mini shop right in front, takeaway food only 5 minutes walk. With a car, fast at anse royale, Takamaka Rum Distillery, also fast at Jardin du roi. About 15 minutes from the airport.
The breakfast was very good, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. The only spread has always been strawberry jam.
Private beach, peace and quiet, close to everything...
A significant amount of money was stolen from our room, I don't know if it was external or internal... upon departure, we asked for breakfast at 7:45 to be sure we would reach the ferry, but we didn't get it until 8:15, otherwise breakfast was from 8. .. which, by the way, was the poorest during our stay on the islands!!!
The quality of the welcome, the breakfast tray included in the price of the room, plentiful, very good (fresh fruit, jam, etc.), the quality of the bedding, the quality of the equipment, the oceanfront location, as far as the eye can see on the spacious private terrace The proximity of the good takeaway shops (in Cap with Kirill and Sheila!) and small supermarkets with a good assortment
Close to road, very busy. Improved acoustic performance of bay windows would be a plus
