Located in the center of the village
1. The chimes of the church bell (located above the rooms) start at 6 am. Impossible to sleep. 2. To enter the hotel, you have to call. Thus, entering at midnight or later, we have to call to wake up the receptionist and wait. 3. Cleaning and tidying up the room only on the first day! 4. As my wife came to me on the second day of the stay, I informed the person in charge who first replied that there was no problem because the room was a double. Only later did she mention that there was an addition to the price paid. I agreed and as in other hotels I was thinking that adjustments are made at 'check out'. This is at the meeting of accounts on the way out. When the next day, my wife and I were at the pastry shop next door (because the hotel does not serve breakfast), behold, the employee enters the establishment, heading to our table to demand payment of the extra immediately. Bad looks, bad environment and very tacky procedure. Corny is the best title for my opinion of the stay.

It is located next to the belfry... the bell rings continuously, it's terrible... The mattress was very bad... my husband and I fell through the center... we slept for 1 day... but very bad... and with pain in back

Tired didn't sleep all night
The manager was nice, the sheets were worn out and not the clean paper around the window was peeling off, the toilets were almost under the sink, there was nothing in the shower and the sheets were in mold, this is not a hotel to recommend

Room small, dirty, no parking, service, worst hotel I have ever stayed in, I stayed one night because I had nowhere else to go, left the next day. Beds never been changed, dirty carpet, leaking faucet, broken lamp, dirty walls, flickering light in bathroom... DIY shower stall with bath curtain... old hotel not renovated.

Good location but with some points to improve.
The Hotel is very well located, with several services very close (church, ATM, Taxis, etc). In addition, the service and readiness of the gentleman at the reception was remarkable, having suggested several places to have dinner.
The cleaning of the room left something to be desired, as well as the towels, since one of them was torn.

Glad I only booked one night
The employee is 5 stars. She had booked a room with a double bed, after all there were only two beds. The wifi didn't work, the employee managed to fix it.
The reservation will be matched. Cleaning will be better. In general, there is room for improvement.

Super nice hostess organized everything to our complete satisfaction. Everything was very clean and despite the location next to the church and city center it was very quiet. The lovely hostess prepared a small but tasty breakfast and you could have a great conversation. The output is clean for transit, but would also like to stay for 2-3 days.
Nothing to complain about, typical 1 star small town hotel.

Breakfast was good considering the cost of living, the cleanliness of the rooms is very good, but the best thing is the friendliness of the employee, the red-haired "Lolita", who does everything: greets customers, cleans, prepares. and even make us laugh.

Impeccable welcome and service in this simple but clean hotel
The hotel is in a great location and there is everything you need for food and drinks nearby. Thank you Lolita for her welcome, smile and kindness. Rooms are basic but clean. Luckily, she's here to run this aging hotel.
An old hotel deserving a little refreshment, not very well soundproofed. We hear the neighbor's dog all day. Fortunately, he sleeps at night.

The price is satisfactory, the breakfast is acceptable, the staff are friendly.
Difficult to park in close proximity, little room in the room, no desk or laptop / tablet desk, toilet too close to sink. From getting up at 8:00 in the morning, because of the church bells that are nearby and at this time start ringing!

not recommended for late morning breaks
A 70s hotel in its own juice. Clean but needs renovation. The worst thing is that you live in a shared apartment with other clients, it is a complete lack of soundproofing, not to mention the unwanted barking of neighbors' dogs day and night. The only interest of this hotel is its location in the countryside, of the village's three excellent restaurants, with a special mention cushina del rei, where we often dined, and especially her co-worker Lolita, who thanks to her kindness and eagerness to be helpful. do our best to make your stay enjoyable. Moreover, unlike an owner-uploaded photo of an empty parking lot, it is always full and causes real parking difficulties. In the end, all this justifies its low price.

Waiting too long for registration, I had to ring the bell many times. I asked for a room for a couple and was given a room with separate beds, stating that it was not available with a double bed, which made me very angry.

Welcome and courtesy, thank you very nice lady at the front desk. We drove through and stopped for just one night. The rooms at the guesthouse are very minimalistic but clean and comfortable. A good breakfast is served with joy.

Good stop north of Lisbon
An establishment in the heart of a charming Portuguese village, away from the hustle and bustle of the coast. Great place to discover Barge and Berlenga island, Obidos, Caldas da Reina... Great welcome from the owner.
The establishment as a whole is a little dated and there is little selection of fresh bread for breakfast. Not a single restaurant was open in the village when we were there.
