very bad in a room of 30 m² about 15 people I've seen two bunk beds but in a three bunk bed I've seen that eat once in my life. Worse than jail.
Not recommended
The staff were friendly
There was just one person working in the whole hostel, so when I arrived, I rang the bell, but there was no one at the reception since the person was working upstairs. Then, it's the kind of hostel where you have to pay for everything. Basic check in is at 6 p.m. and if you arrive before you have to pay 2 euros more… You also have to pay more for a towel, for a padlock (mandatory locker),… The toilets were in the bathrooms. There were only two on my floor while in my dorm alone there were 15 beds… The shower/toilet rooms were disgusting. I was unlucky: a guy came into my dorm at half past midnight, turned on the light and called a friend talking super loud. he then went to the window and started smoking. He didn't care about anything. Other people came and went throughout the night and unfortunately the door made a lot of noise when opening:closing it. I finally decided to leave at 3 am. I've had enough.
I liked the comfort of the room, the room itself and especially the fact that the room had all the essential instruments in one room.
Unfortunately, I didn't like the fact that there was a mistake in giving our room number to other people, also everything else TOP.
I didn’t like much, but there are amenities - a hot working hair dryer, hot water, large windows with closing blinds, beautiful tiles on the floor in the bathroom, plenty of space, spacious. There is everything you need.
You can start here with a lot of things, if only they would listen and improve the service. Noise from neighbors all around. Dust on all baseboards, age-old. There is nothing clean in the kitchen. Forks, spoons, plates, glasses, glasses, mugs - everything is dirty. Refrigerator 2 and both are frozen. A cupboard with some kitchen utensils does not open, it is not even clear what is in it. The doors to the bathroom.....it's something incredibly awful. I politely asked them to fix it. No one thought to do this - everyone knows, no one cares. The hood in the bathroom wheezes throughout the house. Well, the check-in time is from 18 pm ... it's not at all convenient. I called the specified phone number 10 times, they answered me and told me to call the reception, thank God I managed to ask for the number. We were checked in earlier for 5 euros. But we stood over the soul of the cleaner who was cleaning the floor for us. In short, it's not worth the money.
nothing
Reception
do not serve lunch
They are in a nice location and have a convenient system for opening the doors.
I had to open the front door electronically with a code, but the box was empty. Upon arrival at the reception, I had to wait 50 minutes until I could check in because something had gone wrong with the booking for the guest before me. Once I arrived at my room I slept 3 high with a bad staircase and no handles. There were no curtains on my bed, which they made after I asked with a lot of noise and unprofessional fun. The next day I went looking for the breakfast that would be there, so I didn't use it. I wanted to go into town, so I locked my locker, which was bent and so I couldn't close it. Went to staff for this: he couldn't speak English but did look. He didn't succeed so I had to wait an hour for someone else to make it for me. After 1.5 hours no one had been seen and I started to get impatient so I started to remember them. Then waited another half hour and searched for the staff again, no one to be found… Put down a note and take the valuables yourself and leave the rest in the hope of blessing. When I came back it still hadn't been made.
the bed itself was comfortable
the kitchen was not suitable for making meals, it was poorly equipped and very dirty. there were only two male single bathrooms for the huge amount of people who sleep in that hostel
bed with tent to be more private
Rude blonde employee, she only knows how to scream and takes the peace out of the place. the whole day on the cell phone talking bad about others and the owner of the establishment. dirty place, 2 bathrooms for 50 people. dirty bathrooms, stinky rooms and no air ventilation. the employees take your towel and throw it away so you have to pay €3 to rent a towel from them. not to mention that they touch your things and take them out of place.
Well located and good price. I stayed in the female dorm (6 beds) and it was very clean and organized. Clean bathrooms, but they should add one more for women. Thanks !
They could add one more bathroom for women to avoid waiting.
absolutely nothing avoid this place
The list is long… Check-in is already between 18:00 and 22:00, you have to pay a surcharge if you arrive earlier or later. Least extra: towel if you want to leave your suitcase for the day, etc. when I asked for a towel they told me it was the last one and that I was very lucky so I wonder how those who don't have one did. We are treated like cattle here, 9 people in a ward with very difficult conditions for access to beds. There are barely enough two showers for everyone, and everyone can come in at any time. Everything is disgusting, the shower, the bathroom, the kitchen… They put a pardon in the hostel to mask the smell and pretend that it smells of cleanliness. And the mattresses in the bedrooms are as hard as I've ever seen, there was definitely a spring that came out and sank into my back. SCANDAL
The room was spacious and bright. Nice design in the apartment
You can only enter at 6pm which is a problem when you are loaded with suitcases. You must leave at 11 am. The vending machine does not work, the money is not returned. I did not have the opportunity to enter the institution, and no one picks up the phone that they give you. I came in because the client got out and I got in. The hostel is a mess.
Attentive employee, close to the Alameda metro, good cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms. Scented bed linen and has a usb port on the bed to charge your cell phone and individual light.
It could have more bathrooms and a bigger fridge to serve the large number of guests.
Only the location is good.
1. There were nine guests in the room I was in on one floor, but there are only two toilets. It was inconvenient to hardly use the bathroom, let alone shower. 2. The bed is also very high, but it was really annoying to go up and down. 3. Most of the staff barely speak English. 4. Check-in time is from 6:00 to 8:00?? It's two hours, but you pay for other hours. 5. The kitchen is unusually cramped. 6. The room was honestly too hot and there was no ventilation. There is also no air conditioning. 7. Overall, the management looks awful. 8. It seems to be using a family home as a hostel, but honestly, the accommodation is very poor, and the facilities are not considerate of guests at all. 9. A staff member, if you ask for something, it will take hours. so incompetent 10. Overall, I wish it would just disappear.
friendly host
cleaning leaves something to be desired
The cleanliness of the toilets and bathrooms was not very good!
I couldn't wait to regret breakfast!!
The location was excellent, close to the metro Alameda, c. 2 minutes walk (with line direct to the airport), marketplace and several cafes, restaurants, banks and shops close by. Very central, in the middle of the city, although quiet. 15 minutes by taxi from the airport, cost 15 euros, subway costs 1.7 euros. The girls' apartment was big, quiet and the people nice. Pleasant staff and a clean apartment with a clean bathroom. Recommended.
I liked everything, would love to go back there on my way home. I arrived at the place outside check-in hours, everyone was nice and helpful. Was very satisfied.
I really liked the atmosphere of the hostel. I really liked the service provided by Vitor and the Indian whose name I don't remember. The Indian, always helpful, always solved what was asked... in addition to helping with the cleaning of the rooms. So for me he held the hostel on his back. Vitor is also always helpful and friendly. The hostel is really nice.
I didn't like the way the cleaning women spoke loudly when they went to clean the rooms... always complaining about the service... I think if they don't want to work like that, they shouldn't be there. On the first day I thought about leaving because of one of them. But I decided to stay thanks to the Indian. So, a tip I give the owner is to take a course with the cleaning women on education and how to treat customers and, above all, be careful about how to talk about the hostel’s problems in front of customers. Because I only heard about it, I found out that the owner's name is Paulo... from the way they were always doing the job, complaining and mentioning Paulo's name. Anyway, I hope you take this into account.
These are separate apartments, new, with modern finishes and very clean, the only thing is duplexes with a window in the ceiling on the second floor that is not closed, and xla mñn if your bed is like that. Mia has no curtains, the light wakes you up
The common areas of the duplexes are not separated and sometimes there can be a lot of noise, the lack of curtains on some beds when the overhead light of the ceiling window is not closed, and that they charge a 10 euro card deposit (when nothing is delivered) supposedly automatically returned after 2 days, but it turns out they return it after 13 days ... Hostels are not to blame, it is their system that creates misunderstanding and distrust
The location is great and the room is very nice, too bad it was dirty.
To begin with, the staff does not speak English, only Portuguese. We arrived at 9am knowing check in was at 6pm so we just asked to leave our luggage, everything was fine until we got back at 5.30pm and were told we would have to pay 2€ for an early check in (written nowhere). So why not tell us right now and make us do it right at 9 am? Maybe he didn't like it. We were given a door code that for 3 consecutive nights left us because it was not activated by those who checked in and talked on the phone for at least 4 rings, NO ONE answered. Probably, when they heard the slamming and screaming of the door, someone got worried and opened it, but there was absolute silence from the reception ... no ghosts! Our room was very nice but it was not thoroughly cleaned as we found maps scattered around the room (mostly under the bed) and a bottle cap with unlit cigarette butts inside on the windowsill I would say hard to miss when you clean. On check out they wanted us to pay an extra 2€ PER BAG to leave our luggage in the locker despite the endless complaints we made throughout the days and even this cost was not written anywhere. So the location is convenient, but if you can find something else!
A bit far from the center of Lisbon, but a nice area and plenty of transport to get around. Large shared apartment (so dorm) but with isolated room for 4 with extra bathroom (much appreciated) apartment is digitally coded Personal locker, spacious, with 1 shelf and coat rack (bring your own padlock) 2 main bathrooms Kitchen area with table, refrigerator, gas stove, enough for cooking simple things
Bathrooms are not lockable Beds are small and cramped so it's best not to be tall or fat. Nothing to organize to keep the hostel alive Big front door won't close
Good location, next to Alameda Park and a few steps from Arroyos market. Commercial area, places to eat and supermarkets. Near the subway. Apartment (2A) was spacious and bright. As they have check in from 18:00 we asked to enter earlier for convenience and they gave us permission to enter at 15:00 (they charge 5 euros per person). If you think about the price, it does not seem like a gift to me, but it was the cheapest price / quality ratio that was available at that date.
When we entered, it seemed that only the floor had been washed and the beds made. A dirty table, some miserable tablecloths, a stained bathroom mirror, a black toaster, in general, the whole apartment was poorly cleaned. The bathroom door didn't close properly and the extractor fan was making a terrible noise. There was no coffee maker, only a kettle and pots. The building is old, with wooden floors and everything is audible (telephones, steps, stairs (of course there is no elevator), conversations in other rooms).
the room was clean
That they asked me for extra money for arriving late, but I had communicated that and that there were no problems
The manager is very nice, smiling...
The room smelled of old age, it was hot and the fan was dirty... Lack of hygiene throughout the hostel.
Nothing
Everything
I never stayed in it because on arrival it was far from what I had booked (the whole apartment), I was offered 3 beds in a shared room with 15 other guests. I requested free cancellation and was charged the full amount of my stay. I never got a response from Stephanie and Paulo. I insist, I have never registered or used their services. Zero is recommended. A little serious. Fraudsters.

order and a personal key is assigned
What does air conditioning look like in summer?
Showers and free hair dryer in the bathroom.
Rooms as small as a cage, mine didn't even have a window, no air-conditioning, stuffy, hot, only a roaring fan. As if that wasn't enough beds built on 3 sides, no airflow, no bit of fresh air. I didn't close my eyes all night. Fines for everything. For late check on paid €10, if you leave something somewhere and someone finds it when you want to pick it up, you have to pay a financial penalty. There are financial penalties for everything. They're crazy!
Very welcoming, very kind and helpful staff. Great for metro and food/supermarket/market services
To improve the cleaning of sheets and towels!
Nothing
Tiny room
Nothing more
Bathroom
I didn't particularly like anything except maybe the friendly staff.
The bed on three floors is completely dangerous, very uncomfortable, no respect for the parquet, so many people in the room consider us to be cattle. At least the top ones should pay less. Doesn't provide shower towel which you have to pay extra for. and charge you 5€ extra if you arrive after midnight he charges you 10€ extra. As soon as there is a way to scratch, let's go. The doors open with a digital code, all the codes I was given were never good, I made you whatsapp the person who runs the front desk to come to open me downstairs to tell you that I was the only one left night, not two in this hotel.
the light by the bed was broken, the usb connection to charge the phone was broken, i got the front door code update over 6 times, it all didn't work, it doesn't say anywhere you have to put an asterisk for this. You don't need to put an asterisk in front of it again. I checked in fully through booking, I got dorm D and bed D14 along with the door code. The door code didn't work, even 3 updated codes. Bed D14 does not exist. It so happened that I still need to register separately with the host, again they must provide all the data, I then received a D4 bed, and a new door code, This code did not work, Then I went to the host again, There was already a guest who also had a D4 bed , Again to the host who does not speak English, drama is shorter. The cost of living (13 euros) is of course very good for a big city like Lisbon. When paying suddenly the amount of 15 euros without explanation. My advice is just adjust the amount to 15 euros
I hated it.
The employee did not understand Portuguese, imagine!!! Terrible cleanliness. Bad overall!
The room was large and well furnished.
I didn't like the poor cleanliness, the constant mess all night, the door to the bathroom was almost non-existent.
Very dirty toilets clogged with an unbearable smell of sewage. There is no privacy here (sliding door), a window through which the rain hits my bed... Weird traveler in my room who has no respect for sleeping people talking loudly on the phone in the middle of the night... Only positives warm and friendly staff!
location
not clean really not clean a lot of noise, people don't respect the staff is nice but nothing to fuck people. shower not clean at all absolutely no comfort even minimum
Without breakfast
The means described, such as an iron, for example, are ineffective, high beds are difficult to access or even dangerous, and it is very hot.
The location of the apartment is close to the metro, which is an excellent connection to the city center.
The house does not have an elevator, only narrow stairs, so the accommodation is unsuitable for people with large luggage. The apartment deserves better maintenance. The furniture (eg bunk bed and wardrobe) was rickety and unstable. The doors to the cupboards in the kitchen were crooked, so they wouldn't close. The bathroom smelled of garbage. Already two weeks before my arrival, I paid a fee of EUR 5 for late check-in based on a request from the accommodation. When we arrived on the day of arrival, I had to pay the receptionist an additional 10,- EUR for late check-in. The receptionist deliberately prolonged the entry of our data into the computer until it was midnight and he claimed that then the price for late check-in was no longer EUR 5 but EUR 10 and that he had to take into account not the time of our arrival but the time when he finished writing the data on the computer. When I showed him the printed confirmation of my previous payment of EUR 5 by bank transfer, he claimed that they had some technical problem with my previous payment and would immediately return the money to my account by bank transfer. Although I urged the return of this payment several times (in person at the reception during my stay and then by e-mail after I got home), I never received this money back.
All. Lack of hospitality and education of the staff, filth and the deplorable and dangerous condition of the building, lack of utensils and above all lack of honesty. So far a summary so you know you should never go to this place. Now the details for those who want to know more. To begin with, the hostel sends you a code to enter on the day of your check-in, which is presumably valid. When I arrived, I could not enter, I had to wait outside at night until someone came out. When I entered I had to carry my luggage up the stairs and none of the staff at any time offered any help or even knew that a guest had arrived. He was inside, and there were still no culprits. When I ask the person at the front desk, an English guy with no desire to work, who pretended to be in a hurry to have a drink and chat with guests because I couldn't get in with the code PROVIDED BY THE HOSTEL, replies pretending a ridiculous "we should be safe". I wonder then why they send code that doesn't work? If they find out that you won't be able to enter because there is no staff at the door? Disaster from the start. I ask to book another night under the same conditions, they take money and cheat me. After the wide part. There was no soap in the bedroom I was in, one very thin sheet was given in the bathroom, and there was no kettle in the kitchen, no kettle, not even a small pitcher to heat the water. The next day they send me to a room without a bathroom and a kitchen (there were not those conditions) and when I consult with them they do not give any explanation. The second room had 3 sockets for 15 people, a small fan, the same lousy sheet. The shared bathroom and kitchen were disgustingly dirty all day. Lack of toilet paper and kitchen paper, when someone takes a bath you cannot use the toilet. The condition of the sockets is alarming, there was a water leak in the kitchen, ending in an untested power outage.
they stole my Air pods and charger in the room!
Nothing, we left in half an hour. I ended up booking the hotel.
The windows didn't close and there was a "balcony" that communicated with the other apartments, no security. There were almost no dishes, and the walls were made of paper. We left shortly after arriving, I will lose money, but at least I went to a hotel where I felt safer.
The price was actually the only positive along with a pretty good location.
It was absolutely not clean, on a small bar table on the wall in the kitchen there was a layer of glue on the entire surface, consisting of at least 3 months of dirt, nothing really was clean. The young man who checked us in was clearly not happy with his position and seemed very annoyed. The fact that one of my friends threw his ID on the counter instead of putting it down (no disrespect at all, I know my friend) must have greatly offended the dignity of this good man. He had to announce it again 5 minutes later in a very unfriendly tone and mumble something about the consequences if it happens again. There was an extra charge for checking in a little earlier and it seemed like everyone was being asked to pay extra for anything beyond the basic. Since we needed to get through the night before the flight, it wasn't too bad. It didn't look very organized either, the bed that was shown to my friend (with a piece of paper with a number so there was no chance of confusion on our part) was just taken in the evening. As it turns out, it was just randomly scheduled twice. Checking in also took forever because apparently you first had to understand your own booking system (booking through Booking.com).
The apartment is in a very convenient location, right next to the market hall with several good restaurants and cafes nearby and a metro station that takes you quickly to the old town or to the beach. The apartment was very bright with a small balcony with great views and a fan (which helped a lot).
The equipment was not satisfactory. There were only 3 glasses, 4 plates and bowls and almost no cutlery. There was no wooden board, sharp knife, etc. There were no bedside tables with the lamps shown in the photographs, as well as other indirect lighting elements. The washing machine shown was there but not working, and the dishwasher only after the appliance was moved out of the row and the water faucet was turned on.
The beds are very comfortable. The sofa and TV are very good. The fan is appreciated. The windows are large and bright, the electric shutters work great.
Unequipped kitchen, no oil, no salt. The ceramic hob and countertops were very dirty. Bathroom door didn't close Check-in and check-out time
The location was next to the metro station.
It was very noisy, there were not enough utensils for cooking. Check-in was not very smooth, it was very incomprehensible. We received many letters in advance about payment in different parts. After checking in, we still had to pay again, this amount turned out to be unexpectedly more than through booking.com, later on our own initiative we returned the difference.
Difficult access to enter the hostel, receptionist did not speak Portuguese, cleaning staff criticizing guests, a cleaning employee treated me very badly. Nobody knew how to give information to help get to know Lisbon, the cafe was not always open for meals. Fights between employees I heard several times in a week. I paid for another 3 days at the hostel and asked for it to be paid in 3 installments and the attendant added it to a single invoice.
Staff were friendly, location was easy to get to, room was ok.
The washing machine didn't work, the staff member was hard to find and didn't speak Portuguese, no one responded to messages and I paid more than what was stated on the booking
The location and availability of employees
The way the cleaning lady was talking to the receptionists in front of a series of customers… very bad, unacceptable.
Convenient location, direct metro line from the airport. Convenient for an early flight. Top floor apartment, spacious and clean. The kitchen is good, but not for real cooking. Bunk bed for children.
The apartment only had 1 fan and it was with 2 beds (a bunk bed in a separate room and 2 beds in the back of the living room) really too small.
Nothing
Since being waiting on the street the phone doesn't work, being a customer open the door. Without any kind of respect for the customer. The guy at the reception wasn't bad at all very friendly. No answers to my questions I don't recommend.
I was charged twice for 1 night stay and no one told me anything.
Wrong charge
great location, a stone's throw from the metro. very simple structure, nothing to expect: cooking tools and utensils are scarce and some of the essentials are missing, like a good knife, corkscrew, containers... necessary things for a hostel with a kitchen.
the bed is very basic bunk bed with sheets that don't even look that clean so I would suggest bringing a coverlet with you if needed. the bathroom is a bit dirty.
Everything
all !!! It was exactly what I booked!
This is a guest house with all services, good location and attention at check in.
There was a difficulty in online payment, I did not go through the bank, as a result I paid with a card when I was there. Slightly strong smell of air freshener :)
Room size and location
I canceled my booking with them because there were more of us in the end. They accepted free cancellation and never refunded. I paid a supplement on arrival because one child came more than recommended, they charged me twice (1 by mistake, he said it was wrong) and they didn't refund me either. A lot of noise at night on the first floor, which interfered with the rest. A month and a half later, still solving the problem with the booking.
Friendliness, cleanliness, comfort of the rooms.
The apartment is large
The equipment was not up to par.
The mattress was comfortable
Lack of cleanliness
location and price
Cleanliness, the bathroom was dirty, smelled bad and really didn't make us use it.
LOCATION IN THE CITY CENTER
PROMISQUEITY. SMALL SPACE.
A very hardworking staff member on the evening of arrival.
The window in the room did not open. It was not renovated at our request or the fan turned on due to the incredible heat in the room. The bathroom had bad drainage and stinks. Not cleaned regularly (6 rooms).
Interior Design
The day I arrived the bathroom was very dirty.
Very clean. The building is old but renovated. Spacious apartment.
The location is great! Supermarket, market, metro and restaurants within walking distance. The apartment had a separate bedroom with bunk beds, 2 single beds and a double sofa bed.
If you book for 5 people you expect 5 people to be arranged as well. This was not quite the case upon arrival. Luckily the staff was well resolved and it's the start of the night! Also, the beds were uncomfortable, unfortunately we adults had back problems. The description says it has a balcony, our room didn't have one, could have been more clear. Also, if you book an apartment with kitchen facilities, you may also need kitchen utensils. We received it 3 days after request. In short, the staff thinks it's very nice. Tip: a large trash can.
Terrible establishment!! Very poorly done, the equipment is literally falling apart. The door hinges fell off, we paid 314 euros, screws fell off the beds and so on. We spent 2 nights in a dorm room before getting our room in the booked apartment. Avoid, this is a scam!!!
The location is close to the subway and just a few steps…
Very late check in at 18:00, never in my life have I seen a check in at 18:00… Very poor communication with the staff.
Given the price, we had realistic expectations - no luxury. It is an old house, but everywhere clean, tidy, there is also a hostel, so young people, we had moderate roommates; literally a few steps are enough to enter the subway on the yellow and red lines; the staff was pleasant.
The lock to open the room - it didn't even work the first time (but we got in eventually).
central location
The organization of the employees, poor organization of check-in emails, the lack of cleanliness, the difference between the photographs placed on the website and the reality and, above all, the lack of availability of the contacts provided.
Spacious, comfortable, well located accommodation. Good linens, good bathroom. Practical kitchen area, kettle, microwave, refrigerator. Popular and very pleasant area. Close to metro and bus stops to get to the center of Lisbon. Lots of restaurants around and small shops. We were allowed to leave our luggage free of charge on the day of departure, our flight was at 5pm. Very grateful.
Life for improvement. No hotel products and utensils in a rather cramped kitchenette. No salad bowl, no lunch bowl...
...
...
Housing has deceived us. They show images on Booking and Google as if it were an apartment with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room and bathroom. Once booked at Booking, payment is not accepted until arrival. They charge us first before telling us we booked 4 beds in a 15 person dorm. and also there is no option to cancel to move to another accommodation. We will leave a record on all online booking pages about this accommodation. And finally they tell us that we didn't pay for the booking, they charge us directly and then you get 3 more payments. incredible....
The hostel allows guests to communicate in a very short time, except when guests choose not to stay in common areas, in all other cases participation is guaranteed.
T0 very beautiful, clean and very well organized
They did not respond to emails asking to check in before 6 pm, the mobile contact number is always off, the heater pays €10 a day, checkin time starts very late at 6 pm and checkout early at 11 am .
Ideal location near the subway Lots of cafes, restaurants, shops in the area Sufficient space washing machine and dishwasher
Poor communication in advance (no English, no feedback) Very noisy and disturbing strangers in the apartment Kitchen equipment (almost no utensils)
I didn't like anything about the accommodation. It was the worst accommodation in my life.
Everything was terrible, the staff is very rude. I was not given the apartment that I booked. They gave me another one, which she really wanted. Worst of all, there is no one to complain about why the hosts throw the ball into the lineup.
Good flat
Complete lack of cleanliness. Very very dirty shower. Dirty ceramic plate. Dirty in general. We complained and the cleaning lady got angry and left. The owner did not respond to emails or phones for several days.
Visually, the apartment is very beautiful and practical.
The housekeeping was not very good. The bedspreads were stained. There were no sheets on the beds, only a thin mattress topper. The shower in the second bathroom was broken and the shutters on the upstairs windows were broken too. Without a doubt, very beautiful, but a little run down in the main aspects.
The accommodation is very well located, close to the underground parking and close to the metro station.
Very noisy in the stairwell very late at night (when we were there). I would not recommend for a family with small children because the mezzanine is not very well secured.
