Short stay - the only advantage in this property.
Rooms renovated but very small,
The building requires a thorough renovation, the current state can be defined as early PRL 80-years The price is not adequate to the current state of this facility.

Great location, the strong point of the rooms are new, perfectly cleaned bathrooms. Tasty cuisine; good breakfasts.
Stairs - steep and winding. Double room a bit cramped. There is a specific smell in the room; old house.

Disappointing and not recommended.
The friendliness and efforts of the attendants.
The rooms are very small: there was no closet, no table, and the old carpets smelled musty. Poor room cleaning. A ventilation problem, especially during the hot summer months when mosquitoes get on your nerves when the window is open. The breakfast room was very stuffy, unventilated and full of flies.

Fifty fifty
Great location. You can come with your dog. Bathroom in a good standard.
Very steep stairs. There is no wardrobe in the double room. With a 2-week stay, this is very inconvenient. The mattresses are old or damaged. There are little spikes sticking out of them, I don't know if they are springs or something else. The frame under the mattress was broken, it was impossible to sleep.

Cozy and cozy little hotel
Idyllic and cozy small hotel. The room was also small and cozy. Peaceful and quiet. Good bed. Fridge. Friendly staff and good service.
The edges of the dining table were very dirty! Both the hand and the napkin stuck to them :( The stairs to the residential floor were very narrow and steep. We were not much bothered by this, but it could restrict the elderly and people with sore feet, at least when climbing with bags.

Positive impression, apart from the lack of information about dangerous stairs. Generally fine!
The double bed requires the mattress to be turned 180 degrees. On the left side he was "busted" from sitting in the same place all the time, which made it uncomfortable to sleep on that side (with two people it was inevitable, and a person falls down this pit). Also, the beds were comfortable. The toilet requires regulation of the flow of water from the cistern. Splashes so that even with the flap closed 100/100 times the board is heavily flooded. Well, it's neither pleasant nor hygienic. The soap, which is 2 years overdue, should be given to the museum ;-) The rest is fine! The facility should be marked that despite all the charm of its historic character, unfortunately, it has exceptionally non-standard treads on the main stairs, which for many disabled people may prove to be insurmountable. When this is discovered in the evening, it may be late to change accommodation. After reviewing the profile of the object, it is not obvious, and I ordered a room for a person with physical disabilities. Fortunately, it took place without falling, but with a lot of laughter, it was the Mount Everest of possibilities. Overall, a nice place to which we will gladly return. Regards!

The guesthouse is located very close to Lake Święcajty. lake view from the windows. Mega steep stairs lead to the first floor where the rooms are located. The room is clean though tiny. A big minus for the lack of a wardrobe or a wardrobe. Brilliantly insulated building. Delicious beer and drinks in the bar downstairs. About 200m to the nearest shop. It is a pity that apart from an electric kettle and cups in the room there is no access to cutlery or a microwave. It worked great as a base. I recommend! :)

Great for a short time.
Although tiny the room was very cozy and functional. The bathroom is quite comfortable.
Close to a busy road but a room on the side of the building was quiet. Room short, no wardrobe.

No wardrobe in the room. A tiny window in the room. It was impossible to watch tv (and there was the Olympics!) because the programs were blurred.

Wonderful place - worth the money

Nice and friendly owner and staff. Beautiful view of the surroundings and the lake
Only soap in the bathroom ... no other cleaning products ... the view was spoiled by full garbage containers, the smell inside was soaked with what was cooked and fried in the kitchen, i.e. inadequate ventilation, the rooms were not air-conditioned, the TV had 1 TVP1 channel, the others were jammed all the time

The atmosphere in the guest house is very very :) delicious food in the restaurant, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I rated the property at 8.0, but I know that when I arrive in Węgorzewo, I will go to Stara Kuznya Mazurska :).
There are no lockers for clothes and personal belongings in the room.

Good location of the facility.
The rooms were clean and cleaned daily. There was no problem with changing towels. Very nice staff.
Room very small and dark. No wardrobe or even a small cupboard. Breakfast monotonous, little choice, often when we came the platters were empty and the staff did not fill the gaps at all. I do not recommend !

Very good and professional service. Both the staff of the establishment and the owner approached the guests with great sympathy. Delicious dinners, but not very varied breakfasts.
A big plus was the daily cleaning of the room, frequent change of towels, but the room needs refreshment. A huge disadvantage was the numerous traces of mosquitoes both on the walls and on the tiles in the bathroom, and cobwebs floated everywhere.

Purely. Fresh, beautiful bathroom in the room. Snow-white towels. Kettle, tea, coffee in the room. Beach across the street - Son delighted. Check-in until 12 noon - great! Restaurant on site - delicious dishes. Breakfast - Swedish buffet plus fresh scrambled eggs on request - can be eaten on the terrace. Help from the owner in planning a kayaking trip.
The only drawback is the lack of a mosquito net in the window. Well, maybe an unpleasant musty smell (disappeared after airing the room). The room was small.

we felt welcome and were completely satisfied!
breakfast was excellent, there is absolutely no reason to complain! The best part was the polite friendliness of the staff or the boss! We would like to stay longer and will definitely recommend this hotel to others!

Very good location - lake view from the window. Easy access to Węgorzewo and Gizycko. There is a grocery store nearby. At the restaurant on the ground floor you can enjoy a delicious dinner as well as regional cuisine. Good service.
Unfortunately the hotel is on a main road and you can hear trucks passing by.

The Masurian Smithy is a wonderful place.
We arrived at night, there were no problems with accommodation.
Mosquitoes in the room and stuffy - no air conditioning. Plus, it's all right.

Very successful from the first to the last day and we will definitely not be there for the last time.
The breakfast was delicious, plentiful and varied. Continental, vegetarian, French, American and muesli breakfast served plate by plate. Of course, the accomplices could also "swap" with each other. Most breakfasts also included scrambled eggs made from fresh eggs rather than from the packaging. The coffee was also very good and was provided later on request. In the evening there was very good food (menu). The fish dishes or dumplings (dumplings) were excellent. There was also a lot of alcohol. not alcohol. Drinks are available. The value for money for food and drink was very good. The lake with the pier was only a few meters away. The restaurant was also sometimes visited by sailors who moored their boat to the pier and came there to eat. Of course, you can also swim there or watch storks. Węgorzewo (Angerburg) was just around the corner from the hotel, and Steinort Castle (formerly owned by the Lehndorff family) or Letzen with the Boyen Fortress were within easy reach.
It would be nice if there were also sweeteners for diabetics or the elderly. But this is a trifle.
