Bad experience
There were bedbugs, they don't accept card, TV doesn't work, washing machine didn't work, very small private bathroom and the water from the shower comes out. needs a renovation

Kitara is simple, but it has its own magic.
Nice patio full of plants, kitchen to use. Normita is the most kindness, good treatment and good advice.

RECOMMENDED!
I recommend the hostel. The staff is super cool. You can come at any time, 24 hours they will open for you without swearing. Cleaning is done daily. 100% recommended for the price. There is also a refrigerator, a kitchen and a dining area so you can cook something. I loved!

For the weekend and I stayed almost 3 months...
The human warmth is unique, on my 5th visit to Peru, this is the first hostel that cares about the traveler, 1000% recommended.

Good for the price
Good location and good price. Super friendly service. This place has a patio decorated with plants which is nice and good internet to work with.
The bed/pillows were pretty worn out so not very comfortable. There was no hot water in the shower, although this is not surprising in the jungle either.

Ideal if you are traveling alone or with friends.
Attention, Patrick is very kind and very good boy, he gave me very good information, I really appreciate it, day shift, very kind, very beautiful, always helped me with the subject of my card, she is also the one who is in charge of cleanliness and everything in ok and very clean kitchen, bathrooms and rooms. They have a fridge in case you buy something to cook and go on excursions on your own. Ask Patrick for directions to the nearest supermarket and market, and grandparents are very nice, I will definitely be back.
Laundry services are charged extra. There was no spiral, no mosquito incense. They could introduce a "continental" breakfast, it's cheap to stay if they buy in bulk coffee, infusions, sugar and some bread or fruit that Tarapoto has. I hope they fix the shared bathroom issue as all guests only used one toilet.

Suitable for yoga for calmness
The natural environment in the city center, many trees and plants, kitchen overlooking the garden, best suited to be tropical. I was able to do yoga in its green areas because of the tranquility which I really appreciate.
A rainy day attracted mosquitoes typical of tropical climates.

Dirty, the bathroom in the kitchen is full of dirt. Also, the owner made a mistake on my booking and put me in a more expensive room that wasn't booked and they wanted to charge me more. Besides, he doesn't have a book of complaints.

Small hostel with garden
The open kitchen with armchairs invites you to socialize.
We booked a private room with a private bathroom and they wanted to provide us with a small ugly room with a shower outside the room because the other rooms were supposedly fully booked. When we refused, he suddenly disappeared and we were given a room with a mini shower / toilet. Hostel staff seem bored and hear loud music at the reception.

Mosquitoes, but the hostel can't do anything about it, but mosquito nets on the windows might make sense.

the green island in the middle of the city
courtyard green with trees, flowers, and an artesian fountain that flows into a mini pond with koi fish quite close to the Plaza de Armas and easy to find/remember, 7 blocks from the center, 10 minutes on foot or 4 soles by mototaxi
mosquitoes, they come bundled with the jungle. recommended a mosquito net

I would go back a thousand times!
If you are traveling alone this is the best place to stay as Norma and Victor will help you with recommendations and have a lot of patience to explain to you and if you are traveling in a group much better. The place is very warm, there is peace, but also a feeling of home. The rooms are fresh and clean.

This is a very beautiful house, it has a clean, spacious and well appointed kitchen, enough bathrooms, but above all, the kindness of the owners. Norma and her husband are lovers and they always make you feel good so you can have a good time. I recommend this. I plan to return anyway.

Enjoy your first time in the city
They waited for me from the first day, they followed me to the airport, gave me a guide so that I could study on my own in the city and beyond (this is a document prepared by the owner herself, excellent detail). As for living, it is very quiet, comfortable and you can feel a warm and family atmosphere. I really appreciate the hospitality of Messrs. Norma, Victor and their children. :)

It was good to stay here.
Well I really liked the attitude of the owners of the hostel, they are very nice, they gave me good information and an incredible pass, the only thing I didn't like is the en suite bathroom is very small and not very comfortable for everything else it was very good.
The bathroom in the girl's room is very small, uncomfortable and well, there are a lot of ants in the kitchen, they are everywhere = (
