very modern, very clean, good breakfast
-
View is great, staff is nice. Got everywhere too.
No toilet brush in the bathroom. Could be very awkward for a newly in love couple. Especially the coffee at breakfast could lead to problems. Breakfast was a bit poor, but ok considering it was included.
Very nice building and the views are very good. The rooms are very comfortable.
It was very cold. The "ecological" heating did not exceed 20.5°C. it was not enough for us. They changed my room to a bigger one and I had to take the bedspread from the previous room, they didn't have blankets. They should give me the option of being ecological and being cold or being in a warm room and to my liking.
spacious beautiful rooms. nice breakfast with gluten free bread. Nice swimming pool with sauna and gym. Very friendly staff.
Everyone only speaks English.
It's a nice hotel and you have a great view. The breakfast was very good. The sauna and swimming pool are very inviting.
The hotel is a bit out of the way and it takes about 1 hour to walk to the center. However, the bus connection is very good. Unfortunately there are no restaurants nearby. The food in the Moxy Hotel below is bad (frozen pizza) and grossly overpriced at €20 per pizza.
the location, the breakfast and the cleanliness
the staff at check-in. very unfriendly and took it for granted that I knew where the parking garage was. very annoying on the first trip to amsterdam
the impeccable facilities, without problems.
The Hotel all good. Just to mention the Moxy Bar that is attached to the Hotel, they were not very professional to attend. They did not do very well the drinks and the food precarious.
all
nothing
room
the heating was way too high! the humidity is too low
Free upgraded room!
Beautiful view!
shiny look. nice hotel room and comfortable bed
reception on 9th floor and only 1 elevator?
Everything was great, nothing to complain about at all, would have been bad enough for 200 euros for 2 adults for one night.
there is no toilet brush. But it's the only one
The staff were especially friendly! The lady in the restaurant left breakfast especially for us. Nice rooms, amazing view.
The bed was a bit hard, but everything else was great.
A very nice hotel located a bit on the outskirts of Amsterdam; The room was spacious, living room and kitchen well equipped! we paid a bit more for a harbor view and it was worth it! Otherwise it's a view of other buildings in this "business" area, it's less pretty. Near underground parking. We can park our car there immediately upon arrival, even before we got the keys, and the receptionist will validate our ticket for us on the day of departure (we pay at this time); Please note that the parking ticket is valid for the entire day of check out, which allowed us to spend a day in Amsterdam where we only had a room until 11am. The bus stop is 2 minutes walk, take bus 48 which leads directly to the central station; tickets can be purchased directly on the bus. Bus approximately every 10-20 minutes, 15 minutes on the way. Hearty breakfast, amazing view! Quiet room and good bed
View, location, opportunities
Not fresh clean room. There was an unpleasant smell in the refrigerator. The pans in the cupboard were dirty. There were dried snot on the bed. And the seat there is noticeably dirty with stains and stains. There was still dust everywhere. Very poorly polished.
The room is very quiet, you can hardly hear other guests. You can watch YouTube on TV. You can also watch Netflix and Amazon Video through Google Chrome Cast.
Due to the 10cm thick felt and the very soft mattress pad, the bed was very uncomfortable in the long run. Unfortunately, there were no deep plates in the apartment, but they may have been stolen. The previous guest probably stole the pans so we got new ones at the front desk. Before settling new guests, it was possible to check the apartment for completeness. Unfortunately the couch and carpet were full of long hairs, there were wood chips behind the couch and there was still debris behind the bathroom sink. If you wanted to take the elevator from the room floor to the garage, the elevator on the left always came first, but it only went up to the first floor. So you first had to let the left elevator go down and then request another in the hope that the right one would come, which could also go to the garage.
Large suite location
Lack of staff, we waited over 20 minutes at the reception to get the key, cold pool
We go there from time to time, it's our favorite hotel in Amsterdam!! the rooms are spacious and the kitchen overlooking the port is just magical!! breakfast with a lot of choice is ideal for a good start to the day !!!I recommend this hotel for those who like silence and close to the center 5 minutes by car and close to the bus stop (minimum 25 minutes of travel) and those who want to do everything on foot not recommend this hotel
Too bad the hammam didn't work this time.
Great view of the harbour. Room with large front window
Cleanliness in the kitchen could be better. The breakfast staff is very lethargic and very slow to replenish.
Very clean and modern hotel. The view from the room was excellent. Although we did not have the room shown in the booking photos, it was a good room. The breakfast was delicious and the service from everyone excellent.
It takes a five minute walk and then a bus to get to the city center but luckily the transport is frequent.
An interesting place in the port of Amsterdam, Westerport, at breakfast you can watch the loading of the ship, a beautiful view from the 9th floor. The rooms are spacious and modernly equipped. The breakfast was sufficient and good. The bus service to the central station is good, every 7 minutes, about 5 stops. .
The touch menu from the electric stove was not entirely clear, a description would not hurt.
The suite/apartment was nicely decorated. Great view of the 8th floor through huge frameless windows. Relatively clean.
Breakfast is average, drinks and snacks are overpriced.
The bathroom was clean and nice.
The view from the room was blocked by another building. When checking in, it was like checking into a student hostel (200 euros per room!) We received little information, there was no warm welcome. Expensive room for what you get. Breakfast was mediocre, old hard rolls, no orange juice. Luckily I had good company! :)
Very nice room overlooking the port of Amsterdam. Located on the 7th floor, the view was magical. The room is very spacious, with a kitchen, a seating area, a large double bed and a large bathroom. The exterior and interior architecture of a very modern hotel. The pool and sauna are practical after sightseeing. Fabulous lunch with lots of choice. Paid parking under the hotel
Nothing to say
We liked the hotel in every way. The staff were very friendly. It was relatively clean. Very modern and stylish. At breakfast, it was possible to bring the entire package of drinks to the table so that you did not have to get up for every glass.
The quality of the breakfast buffet could be improved. The buns were too soft and the scrambled eggs tasted like they came out of the package. While things are a little quieter in the Netherlands, more attention could be paid to corona technology. Parking at € 30.00 per day is too expensive.
Modern architecture and very pleasant interior design, good lighting concept, very friendly staff, pleasant relaxed international atmosphere, functional layout of the room with kitchen, living room and dining area. TV in living room and bedroom. Bathroom with night light. Great selection of soaps and shampoos. Depending on the room/floor, there is a breathtaking view of the surrounding modern architecture and the skyline of Amsterdam. Breakfast area with outdoor terrace and living room in a very nice penthouse. Dogs are allowed. Swimming pool and fitness center. Quiet place. Good indoor climate. Hygienic bedding and good sleep on box springs. (King size) Good bus service. Would book this hotel again on my next visit to Amsterdam.
Open and therefore insecure WiFi. Clothes hooks to hang jackets and coats in the room. Threshold at the entrance to the bathroom. No toilet brush. There is no light above the kitchen. The light in the living room is not dimmable. Bathroom door and room door collide with each other. Incomplete crockery. Not enough hangers in the closet. Some of the guests donated their trash bags to the hotel room door to the hallway. Rain is clearly audible as it hits the aluminum façade.
Everything looks beautiful: both the lobby and the room I stayed in are tastefully decorated, and the wide view of the harbor through the large windows was really beautiful. In addition, the beautiful kitchen has everything you need and the apartment was very spacious. The bed was very good and there was no noise due to the quiet location.
There are not many negative things to say about this aparthotel and its rooms. The only thing that really stood out were the dirty windows. I rented an apartment overlooking the harbor and enjoyed it immensely... But, unfortunately, the dirty windows somewhat spoiled the view, especially at night with the lights on. The staff were very friendly but a bit more explanation about breakfast would have been better. The breakfast was also a bit poor.
The facilities are very good, the apartment is small but for a city like Amsterdam it is very good value for money and has everything you need. Very clean. The situation is not the best if you want to visit the city center as you need to move but you have public transport, uber is not expensive and is in a very nice and quiet area. The walk to the center takes about 45 minutes.
The sofa was a bit uncomfortable which meant we had to lay on the bed. The feather pillows are too thin for my taste.
Breakfast was poor. Not replenished on time.
Breakfast was offered at the front desk. Find a table to eat. Too few tables and chairs
Everything
nothing
The location was good, you can easily get to the center of Amsterdam by bus. The room was clean and everything you could expect from it.
The breakfast was sometimes too long so it was dry and didn't have any taste. The scrambled eggs were also too salty. Upon arrival, the reception staff were busy with their things and made us wait for check-in.
Luxurious studio, fully equipped, overlooking Houthaven. Everything is there, only the bed is very hard and lumpy, so we didn't sleep well. It's a pity because that's really the only downside.
The friendliness of all the staff, like the reception and housekeeping. Even if things don't go according to plan, everyone stays friendly and approachable. The location is special and better accessible by bus from the center of Amsterdam than you would expect. There are also many restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Still a bit quiet due to Covid 19 but hopefully this will go away on its own.
bathroom cleanliness kitchen view
Lack of everything for breakfast and not fast enough. I had to ask for salt, a cup, napkins, orange juice, eggs... According to the description, there should be 2 ovens in the room, only a microwave with a grill function. All soapy shampoos etc are minty...you should love it but I hate it.
There was a friendly atmosphere in the hostel. The hotel was nicely decorated and friendly staff. We also liked the location of the hotel, very close to the city.
Two hotels in one hotel building. It's a little confusing here and there and somehow the staff sometimes find it counterintuitive too. This also leads to unnecessarily long waiting times.
The hotel was good and the breakfast was good.
Parking is too expensive
The place is atypical, in a non-residential, office area. Modern design of the common area. Very good breakfast. Bus next to the station departure no more than every 15 minutes (card 8.50 euros / 24 hours). Parking available for 30€/day: you can even leave your car there on the day of departure until 19:00, great for enjoying the day before you leave.
The equipped room, the extremely comfortable mattress, the silence, the cleanliness..
It's the second time I've had bad luck with wifi, only this time I didn't have it at all on Saturday, extremely unpleasant. After that, on Sunday I was left without TV, so without access to news or even entertainment. At the same time, I ran out of dinner on Saturday night......even though it was the first night when the restaurant on the 9th floor was open, at check-in I was not told to make a reservation in advance, that is, from the moment I arrived , so at 18.40 when I went up to serve dinner, I was told that they had no more seats/food because they had prepared only for 31 portions. Likewise, I went to another restaurant, on the 1st floor......same thing, they had no space. All seats were reserved. Extremely unpleasant, after a whole day of running, tiredness, you come to the hotel at 5 in the evening with the certainty that you will be able to serve dinner....instead you keep your eyes on the MOON. And without wifi. If you don't benefit from wifi and dinner at the Marriott, on Saturday evening..............I wonder what you expect from a 2-3 star hotel???
Employees. The view of the industrial ports is great and the access to the bus 48 to the center is only 15 minutes.
The breakfast could have been a bit more varied, although the fact that there is still a buffet available in times of COVID-19 (still eaten in the rooms) is welcome.
Nice rooms, as in the picture, everything was there and nice staff
-
The breakfast was good, clean, varied selection. The staff was very customer friendly!
Sofa in living room and mattress. It depends on the person.
The suite is amazingly spacious. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and stovetop. The view is superb, bus stop nearby and helpful staff. We will definitely return.
great hotel, welcoming and friendly
heat can be quite difficult to adjust
Walk.
Fantastic location, lovely room. Very pleasant staff.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful view. Good measures regarding Corona. Good beds. Large rooms.
No hand towels or kitchen towels The kitchen was very dark, the light from the hood did not work
Friendly staff throughout the stay, great studio with great harbor views. Great for a few days of relaxation.
Breakfast was well served! We had a good dinner. It was a very nice room overlooking the harbor!
30€ parking. A bit expensive!
The hotel is within walking distance of the exhibition halls. There is ample and secure parking.
Due to corona we were not able to make optimal use of the premises.
View
Due to Corona the gym, sauna and pool were closed but they certainly can't do anything about it. It's good that she adheres to these rules. Parking for 30 euros is expensive, but by Amsterdam standards, not so bad.
The staff were very friendly, went above and beyond to make the stay very enjoyable despite the arrangements.
lovely setting for covid rules delicious hearty breakfast beautiful spaces well equipped kitchen with tea/coffee making facilities good bed good bath good shower and shampoos friendly staff beautiful view nice walk special environment
expected the view to be even better (sixth floor, next time higher seems better) the lighting above the stove was not working so the backlight from my phone baked (I guess a lot of people don't actually use the kitchen) the hotel is not immediately easy to find if you will arrive by bus in semi-darkness (you are looking for something in the empty offices / harbor area)
Hygiene was great! The breakfast was neat. Requested a room with a good view on a high floor, well equipped!
Too bad the pool and sauna weren't available given the arrangements. Accurately booked at a hotel that has these amenities. The price-quality ratio is currently not ideal due to the lack of these facilities. I hope to return again with an attractive advertisement when we can make the best use of all the amenities of this beautiful hotel. First I accidentally booked at Moxy where you could buy a parking ticket in advance for 25 euros. It turned out that this is not possible at the Residence Inn.. strange.
View, breakfast was a nice, freshly made addition. There was always coffee or tea available. Kitchenware and dishwasher. There was always a staff ready to answer your question. Good bus service.
We did not know that someone does not come every day to clean the toilet and possibly change the towels. There was no bathrobe and slippers for the pool. There was no body lotion or anything.
Suite is a very nice room. Super view and everything is super comfortable.
Special locations with panoramic views of the harbor of Amsterdam.
The bed was very hard, which was not our preference, but disappointment is an understatement.
Chrome Cash is available on 2 TVs.
I saw it at a recycling center.
Beautiful, free, new and trendy accommodation with great views from the room
Breakfast was disappointing; mostly limited selection. Also, due to the Corona policy, the room was only "cleaned" every three nights, which means there is no holiday feeling. There were enough towels etc to catch it on our own.
Location: good, 15 minutes by bus from the railway station or 50 minutes on foot. Very calm and beautiful. Rooms: beautiful room with a panoramic view of the port. Plenty of space, the kitchen was well equipped, the bed was very comfortable. In general, everything is great! The staff is very friendly and helpful! 10/10 Breakfast: not so varied, but sufficient and tasty. We also tried the pool and sauna and were very pleased!
Cleanliness: The room was very good, but rather poorly cleaned and dusty. Toilet brush: unfortunately we didn't have one in our bathroom. Which I found pretty funny. Everything else is great!
Location and tranquility
The Residence Inn is located in the Moxy hotel, which generates a completely different audience. And as a reception and breakfast room. Therefore, the entrance was difficult to find. The atmosphere is more designed for young people.
There was a good and rich breakfast. The staff were very friendly and happy to help when needed. The room was perfect.
When we were swimming, the water was very cold.
Very friendly staff, the harbor view suite was really great! Really great harbor view, big room with extra bedroom, kitchenette, two TVs, really great!
The breakfast was not as rich as one would expect from the stars, but that could also be due to the Corona as everything is divided into individual portions and you don't have to touch tongs or the like. Requiring a mask at the buffet would be desirable at this time
The room was impressive with its amazing view. Personalized and friendly staff, great shower facilities and a comfortable bed. Everything was neat
no glasses
The location was really good, right on the harbor to sit in the evening and watch the sunset.
Early in the morning extreme loudness of the adjacent fitness room so we were woken up every morning.
Spacious room. Beautiful view from the window to the port. A beautiful promenade around the hotel where you can relax in the evening.
Long waiting time for check-in. Little choice at breakfast.
Nice new hotel, good family compatibility and attractive environment. We had an apartment. Which was equipped with everything you need - if something was missing, they brought it to us immediately upon request. We would like to return.
nothing
room
Breakfast. Very small sandwiches and artificial croissants instead of fresh croissants The staff spoke very little Dutch on arrival. It doesn't appear from the booking that it was an American company. It was not convenient for us. The TV channels were also not in Dutch. The next day the Dutch employee said it was possible, and his colleague the night before said it was not possible.
Super friendly staff and very nice rooms!
Too bad there were swimming lessons on Friday and Saturday so our kids couldn't swim (they were looking forward to it). By the way, the pool is subject to pre-booking, advice: book in advance!
View, room, kitchen, pool.
The beds were quite hard.
We booked three rooms for 6 people. All three rooms were very clean with exceptional harbor views. The reception was very competent, friendly and very professional. Parking is located right next to the hotel in the underground parking - any car can easily park. The price is about 30 euros per night - great for Amsterdam. All hotel rooms had great views - highly recommended! The breakfast is very good, no complaints. I would be back at the hotel in no time.
As the hotel is divided into Residence Inn and Moxy, a check in plate for each hotel would be very helpful. You were a little confused when you entered. If there wasn't enough attention at the front desk to reach out to new guests, they would probably be at the first counter, reserved for Moxy guests only. What I can't understand at all is why there are no toilet (toilet) brushes. We booked three rooms and none of the rooms had a brush. Since something like this is actually a part of everyday life, it should be acquired, as it will be remembered negatively later. We recently noticed that there is a lot of dog hair on our sofa. Since not everyone necessarily does this, care should be taken to ensure that such areas are cleaned properly, or special facilities should be provided for dog owners.
Everything was absolutely normal.
Nothing....
Very friendly staff! Great location. Delicious breakfast and well resolved in Corona times! Excellent design of the lobby and breakfast room. Absolutely pleasant atmosphere. Great bikes! Attractive room decor. dogs are friendly!
The elevator from the multi-storey car park to the hotel was broken, so we had to walk around the building a lot with our luggage upon check-in. The daily parking fee (€ 30,-) is too high. The cost of living for a dog is too high (€ 30.-).
The studio was very nice with a nice view. The staff were very pleasant and friendly.
You're staying at the Moxy Hotel, and the Marriot Hotel has a maximum of a few rooms. The common areas are of first-class student quality, especially at breakfast time.
The rooms are very good in terms of amenities, location and size. The cleanliness and, above all, the very beautiful view of the port of Amsterdam leave nothing to be desired.
We often travel and have stayed in many European hotels. But this hotel is by far the worst in the breakfast area, in the variety and quality of the breakfast and most of all in the hotel seating we have seen. It felt like at least 2 hotel guests had to share a space. You need to find tables where you can sit and put a tray of breakfast. The breakfast room is actually a hotel lobby that can only be used as a bar. The buffet is actually always empty, not to mention overburdened staff. 2nd point - underground parking, for which you have to pay princely 30 euros per day. However, the hotel cannot be reached from the garage due to a broken elevator.
