Beautiful view of the lagoon
The host is always very friendly, present in the place. We are very satisfied with the human quality of the staff.
The view is unbeatable, the lagoon is beautiful, they lend you the kayaks to be able to row through the lagoon. The room neat and clean, with the necessary things to eat. All very well. My only regret is that the bathroom had a very strong odor.

a breathtaking view of the lagoon
magnificent garden overlooking the lagoon with direct access to a pontoon. the sunrise is a must see. kayaks can be borrowed for free for a tour. the room is big enough and has a kitchenette and fridge.
a little out of the way, but there is access on foot to go to the city center. the room is a bit humid.

Calming
The location is very convenient 2 km from the center. The garden is very pretty and maintained. The pontoon on the lagoon with Transat, hammocks, swings is ideal, both for a nap and for sunrises. There are 4 canoes available that the owners lend. In the morning there is coffee prepared in the garden kitchen, very practical The animals 3 dogs, 1 cat are always in the garden, they are adorable and discreet. The owners are very discreet, there are 4 possible rentals so the place is very quiet, the garden is closed, you feel at home. self. Even if we feel that some equipment has had better days, the owners are working every day to improve it. The place is simple and clean, which is exactly what we like. We are a family of 4 (2 teenagers) so we had to rent 2 rooms it was ideal for everyone.
Only downsides, the kitchen equipment: stove does not work, kitchen utensils not complete, therefore impossible to cook, on the other hand you can take away and reheat in the microwave and the cottames make noises

INCREDIBLY MAGICAL!!
Absolutely everything ! A feeling of being at home! A MAGICAL place!!!! On the lagoon, 3min by car from the small center which is also very cute.
I have nothing to complain about it was MAGIC! Thank you for this stay!!

nice quiet hotel
basic but functional room, very beautiful environment, well maintained with a pretty swimming pool and the pontoon on the lagoon which is really pleasant to be able to swim (paying access in town via beach club/restaurants) as well as free access kayaks. you must have a car to get around, the city center is accessible in a few minutes by car (it is easy to park in bacalar)
access via a track in poor condition (sure a short uphill section of around 50m), and poorly indicated access (no registration on the gate)

Great stay in a beautiful location right on Lake Bacalar.
beautiful location on Lake Bacalar, were allowed to enter our rooms at 12.30, refrigerator and air conditioning were nice and bottles of water in the fridge, well cared for. At the swimming pool lovely sunbeds with cushions, the same as at the lake, but not so much. staff very helpful. Location is a bit difficult to find because the signpost is a bit vague on the side of the road, but otherwise a great stay!👍
Outside, in front of the room hard metal bench with nice chairs but not nice to sit on, got other chairs at the reception! No problem, ditto blanket. Everything else excellent.

practical but need to update
very large and very comfortable bed. Direct access to the lagoon with kayaks available and 30 minutes away there is a crystalline color to walk with the kayak calmly.
bring repellent because since the lagoon is so close it is full of mosquitoes, they devoured me. the kayaks are old, some broken without a back quite uncomfortable. The water taps are very old and in poor condition and the pressure is almost nil. the freezer does not freeze because it is saturated with ice, it must be cleaned.

Just invest at the entrance that is on the road, the descent is very ugly. and put up your town sign again.

A hotel on the edge of the lagoon where to rest
Access to the lagoon, the pontoon where we were able to rest alone, the free loan of kayaks, the garden and the large terraces adjoining the rooms.
The rooms are humid (yes, it is The climate but the smell is not pleasant) and old fashioned. Near the main road but that does not prevent you from sleeping it's just a shame during the day.

the location, the equipment available, the large room, the value for money, the parking lot... the living environment, the garden, the clean swimming pool and the comfortable bedding. and this fabulous lake of water has 30 degrees so gentle on the skin. the top pontoon, calm.! morning coffee available. 4 rooms only.. deserves 4 or 5 nights. fridge
very basic but large rooms, chip and without decoration, low-end plastic tables, kitchen utensils almost absent and very low-end or even old. random and low-speed WiFi. no telephone network (none of the 3 major operators). missing microwave oven.!

Very nice stay!
Access to the lagoon for swimming. Free loan of kayak and paddle. Coffee available in the morning. Air conditioning. Comfortable and large bed.
Lack of kitchen equipment (cloth, colander, etc.). You need a car to get there and to be able to move to the center of bacalar.

Decent accommodation for a stop in Bacalar, apart from the dog.
Access to the lake and kayak loan is really great. Correct for the price-quality ratio. vehicle essential, far from the center but quiet.
A very nice dog is attached with a very short leash to the door of the owners' house from morning to evening, and maybe even at night when others are free. It breaks the heart. A very negative point for us. The outdated bathroom linen needs to be changed.

Very good accommodation with access to the lagoon. They have kayaks you can take whenever you want. They also have coffee and the place is very quiet and beautiful.
You need a car to get to the center of Bacalar.

Location next to the lagoon, quiet, you can go out with the Kayak when you want, coffee available in the morning. Parking on site, by car it is close to the center of the village.
The apartment would need reform, it looks old, some towels in very poor condition, the kitchen with few utensils and very old, we expected something better with that price.

I definitely recommend it. A very pleasant place.
This facility is a gem! You can easily stay there for a whole week and not get bored! They have direct access to the lake, sunbeds and access to kayaks for free. In addition, there is a swimming pool and lots of different attractions on the premises! You can also make friends with two dogs and a cat that live there. The room was clean and equipped with everything needed to prepare meals. I definitely recommend!
Friends had a small infestation of ants because they left food on the table. The owner sprayed the interior with insecticide and it was impossible to stay in the room for some time, clothes and things smelled of insecticide afterwards. The lady who was responsible for the facility (?) drank alcohol in the garden from the very morning, it was impossible to communicate with her.

Frankly, very good value for money, access to the lagoon and friendly staff. Fully equipped. We had a problem with hot water and a leak in the A/C but the manager fixed the problem right away which was great.
A bit far from the center on foot better to have a car.

Superb Recreation at the Baccalaureate
Very nice studio on the outskirts of Bacalar. Better to have a car to enjoy the surroundings. Providing kayaks is really nice. Good swimming pool. Nice to have lunch looking at the lagoon.

Fantastic experience guaranteed
The cleanliness of the place, the kindness and excellent treatment of both us and our pets, being able to have a kayak in perfect condition at no extra cost. The location is very good as it is right at the entrance to Bacalar and the lagoon in the area is very calm.

Direct access to the lagoon is very appreciable but a maintenance effort would be necessary.

A renovation would do the establishment "good". The equipment is limited to the bare minimum. There was no hot water either and the toilets did not smell very good (but this is perhaps due to the fact that it rained a lot the first day of our stay).

Very charming place
Beautiful place located in a very quiet area and with a pier right next to it, down the stairs. We had breakfast overlooking the lagoon, and then we left a few canoes that the hotel has. The rooms are simple but very clean. And the guy who runs the hotel is very friendly and nice. The pool is very beautiful, you swim with a view of the lagoon and the place has a lot of charm when dusk falls with all the little lights that light it up.

The true harbor of the world
The place is idyllic. Small, fairly quiet guest house with seating areas dotted around the garden. The pool is nice, the rooms are spacious, the beds are very comfortable. We really appreciated the tranquility of this place.
Hot water is not always available, but that also makes the place charming.

Very good value for money.
Small hotel. Our room was very large and very clean. Many animals roam the hotel's garden. Our children were delighted and so were we. Peacock, chickens, dogs, etc. We enjoyed watching them or petting them. On the edge of the lagoon but away from Bacalar which means you need to take a car to go and eat. Otherwise, only the restaurant of the neighboring hotel. Family atmosphere with other hotel guests. We regretted that we did not speak Spanish in order to be able to communicate with the very nice boss.
The pool was greenish, we didn't swim. Many things are not supported, it's a shame because this place could be a little paradise. Faucets and showers clogged with limestone. Water does not flow from the tap. No daily room service. But the price suits us.

PARADISE BETWEEN EARTH AND WATER
It is impossible to describe this site without errors. Spacious rooms with refrigerator, mini-cooker and utensils. All rooms have a small terrace with table and chairs. Very well maintained setting with swings, hammocks, BBQ table, very nice swimming pool and beautifully equipped sun loungers. What about a jetty with direct access to the lake? Simply spectacular, watching the sun rise from the sun loungers on the pier, you feel like you are in a parallel universe. They have a kayak for the use of tenants for free, which we use to the fullest. The surroundings invite you to have a picnic in the open air and admire the stars.
While this wasn't a problem for us, I find that if you don't have your own car, the location is far from the city center and access is difficult. In our case, I rated the location as ideal because it was easy to get to town by car for shopping and visiting, and the villas gave us the peace of mind we wanted and privileged access to the lake.

Beautiful villa if you are coming by car
It looks like a relative's house. It is quiet and comfortable. They will lend you kayaks and paddles. You can cook roast beef and the pool is comfortable and beautiful. In the morning you can treat yourself to coffee. I also liked the puppies, though one was tied, I don’t know why.
That the birds were locked up and that there was nothing at the entrance to indicate the villa. There are IDs outside but when you arrive you only see the gate without any indication. It wasn't a problem for me, but if you're coming without a car, it can be a little tricky to get around because it's almost at the exit of Bacalar.

I loved
The room is already good, with a large bed, clean, with a small terrace and windows to the trees. But what makes it perfect is the kayak dock.
It is not central, so you can walk to the city center in half an hour. If I had bikes, that would be great. Looks like I have them in service.

Deafening! We had a great time. Very beautiful exterior, great view of the lagoon, there are even peacocks. Large, clean room. Coffee and biscuits available. Water in the fridge when we arrived.
Shower with low flow No cleaning during stay. Few kitchen utensils. Far from the center but 30 to 50 pesos for a taxi to the pueblo.

Wonderful place to stay
The site is perfect. The room is spacious, with its own bathroom, small kitchen, TV, comfortable bed, fan and air conditioning. This place has a small pier with swings and kayaks that you can borrow for free. My bus left at 11pm in Palenque and I was allowed to leave my bags and stay put after check out. Everyone is super friendly. Very grateful for everything, the best place to rest before continuing the route.
The only thing I can get out of this is that it's outside of Bacalar and there's nothing nearby, so you have to bring your purchased food. You need to get there by car or taxi, you can also walk, but it will take about half an hour.

Good view of the lagoon. very calm atmosphere. Good cleanliness in all common areas in the premises. It is “understandable” that due to the pandemic there was not much interaction with the staff. Be careful, it is important to have a car to facilitate the transfer from the hotel to the city.
There was a very strong smell of "glue" or "silicone" in the bathroom...

Featured!
The hostel is clean and well equipped (the only one with a fridge in the room that we found during our whole trip). Spacious room with two double beds, kitchen and bathroom with hot water. The setting is beautiful. They have a garden with tables, a pool, a barbecue and a pier in the lagoon with sun loungers, hammocks and a pose photo swing ;). Wifi works pretty well for a standard at these prices. They offer pedal boats and kayaks for free (with a life jacket if you want). We sailed to the Pirate Canal which was not bad, although the winds in the area make the water move twice a day (ask the locals about this, especially if you don't have much experience). While it is 10 km. rowing tour!! To the main tourist area (cenoye azul) and from there to the north about 6 km by bike with gentle slopes in general. There are two very friendly dogs that, although they bark at you at first, are not aggressive and will let you pass if you walk calmly. !
Of the minuses (yes, perfection does not exist) it is quite far from the center (about 2.5 km.) And it is convenient to come here with food from the center of Bacalar. There are no bars or supermarkets nearby. The same if you want to rent a bike. These services (sale of food at grocery prices, rental of bicycles or motorcycles) they could receive in the future, as well as laundry services. oh! The entrance is not indicated, and you are standing at the door, doubting if you are there (ideally, there would be a sign).

Space at a low price
the large bedroom with fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Good shower. the Creole hut side with its tropical vegetation. The mole with its swings in the lagoon.
road noise. the distance from the center requires a car. the swimming pool very nice but not sunny and especially with an electric porthole which hangs at the end of its cable. the filtration didn't work either. the requested taxi never arrived.

Room with kitchen area, top transport position
The location of the hotel is excellent if you are by car, because it is outside the city and, above all, with access to the lagoon (an important point). In our opinion, it was a haven of calm, because it was very cozy, calm and peaceful. The garden is relaxing and being able to land under the jetty at the end of the day is great! The bedroom is spacious and bright with a living/kitchen area.
The smell of sewage in the bathroom, but with open ventilation disappears. Lack of appliances in the kitchen. A kettle would be great.

This is a place of absolute peace. Since we arrived, we feel very relaxed sitting in front of the lagoon on that beautiful jetty they have. We would like to stay at least one more night. Very pleasant atmosphere. Lots of space inside the hotel, swimming pool, terrace, swing... We were given a paddle and a kayak and arrived at the Pirate Canal. Good experience. Thanks to the staff for all their guidance.

The reception does not exist. There is never anyone. For check out either. There are dogs on the property that bark at you as soon as you enter. It's out of the center so you need a car or plan the daily taxi rides. At night there is no light so it is dangerous for the bike. Too bad there is no breakfast or staff on site simply

Perfect
location, view, setting, animals... after a disastrous stay in Playa del Carmen, Bacalar has clearly softened the heart of this journey. the owners are polite and friendly. I arrived much earlier than the scheduled time and don't worry, they gave me my room right away.

Very good accommodation option
We really liked it, so much so that my son did not want to leave, the place is very convenient, although not close to the center, everything is no more than 10 minutes by car. We liked that it has access to a lagoon with a beautiful jetty. Super friendly staff.

Great location and accommodation!!
It is located right on the shore of the lagoon, which is a plus. Very large room, very comfortable beds and plenty of hot water in the shower! The environment is beautiful and has many animals (dogs, cats, turkeys, chickens...) my kids didn't want to leave!!! We had a great time and I recommend it 100%

accommodation right on the shore of the lagoon with a pier and the opportunity to relax. very quiet location and kayaks were available.
The room was a little run down, in German you could say it needs renovation. There was not enough equipment for self-catering.

access to the lagoon with kayaks, pedal boats, swings and sun loungers is a huge plus! we were able to see magnificent sunsets! very comfortable bedding very nice apartment really idyllic place we loved it! I recommend ++++++

Beautiful and quiet place on the water
Nice quiet place by the water. You can use kayaks for free and pets are allowed here. A 5-minute drive from the center of Bacalar (30 minutes walk).
The shower drain was not very clean and the air con was making a strange noise.

A very good option to consider if you want to be on the shore of the lagoon.
It has everything you were looking for in Bacalar. Hotel with private beach, pool, many common areas to be, good view, pier, Kayaks, few rooms for more privacy and tranquility, with the advantages of a suite, coffee maker, etc. For a very good price you have things that others do not give you for much!
The cleaning of the room without being bad was not so detailed. If you do not bring a car it is a bit difficult to access services such as shops or the town but not impossible.

Good for outdoors
The exterior is very beautiful with access to the pontoon and the swimming pool is great. Kayak available it's nice too!
The rooms are very old, the same for the bathroom with hot water in a variable way. Very little to cook with. The hotel is out of the way, impossible to go to Bacalar without a car.

humble paradise
It has a wonderful pier, hammocks and swings and a very cool pool, you also have kayaks, vests and paddle surf at your disposal completely free of charge. Plus you can enjoy all this for yourself.
Very basic rooms and decoration, the manager's attention was a bit lacking for recommendations and so on, but he was very kind. The lagoon area is not the most beautiful

Good if you don't want to spend a lot
The best thing about the accommodation is undoubtedly the outdoor patio area. The pool, the pier with swings and loungers overlooking the lagoon and you can use kayak for free.
The rooms are very old, they need a remodel. The air conditioning sounds a lot, the hot water and the Wi-Fi were not working very well. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell.
