Pleasant stay and suitable location for visiting the south of Martinique.
The location, the somewhat wild and remote side, far from everything and close to nature. A very good equestrian center nearby. Beautiful organized walks on the beaches and surrounding areas and very well looked after horses!
The state of the access road is in a catastrophic state!!! Solid and fairly high car essential!!! The TV that didn't work (not great because there were lots of other things to do)!!! No activity around, no restaurant, no even an additional store.

Our stay was relaxing, in a magnificent site. We can only recommend “the beaches of Macabou!”
The proximity of the southern beaches, the calm, the cleanliness of the establishment and the great sympathy of Camille and Alex who gave us a very warm welcome. A nod to Jack, their dog! We felt at home. Isn’t that what vacations are about?

if you are looking for calm, this is the ideal place. The owners of the establishment live on site and are available as needed.
I unfortunately had no means of transport, it is essential in this establishment. There is no convenience within 10km. However, you can rent a car directly from them.

A real shot of ❤️
We were looking for a rental close to the southern beaches but quiet and not too touristy. MACABOU BEACHES are exactly what we needed! The residence offers clean, well-equipped studios at a really affordable price. The place exudes simplicity and you quickly feel at home (we didn't hesitate to come with our Christmas tree). We particularly liked: the kindness and good humor of our hosts; the layout of the studio which gives pride of place to storage and allows you to completely empty your suitcases; the company of the birds at breakfast and the welcome from Jack, the family's adorable doggie. Camille and Alex discreetly ensured our comfort. These lovers of the Trace des Caps (which starts less than 200 meters away) advised us of fabulous walking routes. This address will delight all hiking enthusiasts. Ah yes, our hosts also rent cars (unhoped-for luck because ours broke down). Thanks to them, we were able to continue our stay with complete peace of mind.

The setting of the establishment is very nice, the apartment was clean and well appointed, with a superb swimming pool and parking lot!

Macaboo and its distant beaches
Terrace for lunch, before accommodation. Hearty welcome. The owner “upgraded” us, we didn’t have a studio, but a 2-room apartment.
Mosquitoes: no mosquito nets for sleeping, only "snowshoes" to electrocute mosquitoes: application of mosquito repellants was essential for sleep! The access road (1.6 km), though paved, is in such a state that it is not recommended to exceed the speed of 30 km/h. The nearest beach is not very welcoming, so good beaches can be reached by car in at least 20 minutes. The pool is small, 10m long and 1.5m maximum depth. Neighbors (next door or above) are sometimes noisy or whose cigarette smoke enters our accommodation. Decor (or lack of it), white walls with 2-3 bare light bulbs, no sconces. Clean but not very warm...

Guaranteed rest
Alexander and Camilla their kids and also Jack welcomed us with open arms, provided us with very good information to see turtles in particular and the location makes it easy to head north east south.

Great discovery!!
During this difficult period of confinement, we really enjoyed this wonderful stay for a few days in a peaceful and friendly place. Our hosts Alex and his partner gave us a warm welcome and were always available. The rental was very clean and comfortable. Being able to travel with our small cat was a big plus. The pool is really good. Our hosts have defined internal rules that promote tranquility and respect for all, which is really what we were looking for. Party goer go your way, this is the wrong address!!
The establishment, which has recently been taken over, has undergone a major renovation, and of course there are still some points that need to be improved, such as the level of equipment of the studios (no shelf for the bed, outside / inside table is too small, ..) corn In general, everything it was nice.

Overpriced and low quality due to lack of hygiene and cleanliness
Air conditioning worked very well; Hospitable and friendly owner.
There is no customer reception area, the terrace serving as a reception is very dirty, repair equipment and fire extinguishers (garden hoses, extension cord, sneakers) are lying around in the passageways to the rooms. We had to clean before taking possession of the apartment (wardrobes and terrace). Internal rules or security rules (usually required) are not displayed. Unable to have a good rest, noise from works, WIFI not working, TV: TNT not stable. The door window curtain gives you no privacy. Photos on the site are not contractual, have nothing to do with reality. Given the current context, hiking or walking is not possible, so no activity other than the pool, which opens at 9am and closes at 7pm, and above all, it is forbidden to listen to and play music (ironically only the rules are displayed at the entrance to the pool). I do not recommend at all.

The host is great and the accomodation is nothing to say… It's a great family run place, good food atmosphere!
The second owner is not pleasant, cold, unfriendly and I will omit the details. The pool closes at 19:00. Cleaning not done, toilets not clean, no washing machine.

Location and size of the pool: next to the entrance, considering the distances, there can't be too many of them WI FI connection
