Superb location
Unbeatable location, treatment of the owner who helps you with whatever you need. The room has air conditioning and is quite spacious. The shower and sink area is always very clean.
The mattress is a bit soft and old, to put some fault.

Good experience
The location is great and the staff very friendly. Air conditioning and hot water were working properly. It has a kitchenette and also a hairdryer.
The room had no window and the mattress was quite sagging. The bathrooms could be cleaner.

Great Guethouse in George-town
I only have words of gratitude to Jaqui that he is a very responsible person and that he is constantly taking care of his guests. Special mention deserves Stan who received me and Donnet who accompanied me to change money. I liked spending time with him, we chatted and laughed. Those who work there are very good people. The super comfortable bed The bathroom is shared but there are several toilets and several showers. I was only one night but very comfortable.

nice owner but slept very badly due to absence of windows
Location central to Georgetown. Host was very friendly.
Honor basic room. Beds quite hard, one mattress was so thin/worn that you lay on the boards. Carpet on the floor didn't feel hygienic (although it didn't seem dirty). Hardly any room to put/hang clothes. Room faced the street, there were no windows only wooden shutters that didn't close properly; shame about the air conditioning and very noisy. because of this we slept very badly because every fast driving / accelerating car or scooter woke us up (sounded enormously) and when the local mosque made the call to prayer early in the morning it sounded like the man was in the room with us….

Unexpectedly, the room is too airtight, and there will be such tinnitus. There is also no fan in the room, and I sleep with the air conditioner on at night, and my mouth and nose are very dry.
The geographical environment is very good, just in the city center.
The toilet on the far left has serious dirt and I hope it can be cleaned up. The toilet in the middle is too high.

Good and less good
The availability of our host, his sound advice. The ideal location for visiting, eating out. The cleanliness of the common sanitary facilities.
I was strongly put off that I didn't have a window in the room, even though I knew that from the start. But I got used to it. A little minimalist, a bedroom with two beds, air conditioning, period! The set is a bit dated, but the price is very low, you can't have everything.

Very good stay
Large room with fairly comfortable beds, friendly staff gives us tips on arrival, clean common area, location very close to places of interest in Georgetown and a bus station. Very interesting value for money
Next to a mosque so every day at 6:30 am we are awakened by the call to prayer. Room overlooking the road so traffic noise in the morning can bother some people.

Good hotel if you want to relax on a small budget
Friendly staff, convenient for sightseeing, shared refrigerator available, coin-operated laundry across the street, recommended as a place to relax
It may be inconvenient for those who have only used hotels with showers in their rooms.If there is food residue, small insects will come.

top location, very simple guesthouse
great location in one of the old houses within the UNESCO protected old town core. much is within easy walking distance. Jacky Chan, the owner is incredibly nice and helpful. made bookings for us and was always very attentive.
our mattress was totally through and overall it is unfortunately not really clean. a lot is very outdated and the rooms are kept very, very simply. there is a kitchen where you can prepare something. Unfortunately, the fridge was also quite "sporty" and we always went out for sweets.

A place to be!
The location is pleasantly central. Jacky the operator is super helpful and always available for a chat. If he finds time, he also climbs Penang Hill or goes out for a round of bowling 🎳. Cool dude!

A guesthouse as serene as east georgetown
Guesthouse friendly, clean, central location to visit grorgetown on foot. The manager Jacky chan gives his soul to this guesthouse. He is very good advice, always available and with a smile. We recommend without hesitation. Hamida and I thank you my friend!

it is a house with immense potential but it has to be explored

the property has a strange smell the shared kitchen area is disorganized and has no space to eat although the house is huge there are no living spaces our room did not have a toilet as stated, only a shower in the room our sheets and shower were not very clean and the mattress was quite worn it's a shame because if there was some attention to detail it could be a good property

Very good for visiting Penang
Location very good in the center of penang, close to everything (bus, komtar, place to see). Sanitary facilities very good, clean and in sufficient number. Excellent welcome and advice. Beautiful traditional Penang house.
Bedding to review. Cleanliness of the room ok overall but bad in detail.

Good choice in George Town
Very friendly manager and volunteers, centrally located, simple but neat and good rooms with air conditioning. Ability to cook for yourself, drinking water available. Wi-Fi works well.
The room has no windows.

The location is excellent. Everything is within walking distance, the bus stop is a 2-minute walk from the hostel. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Wifi is bad. It keeps falling out. Many shower and toilet doors could no longer be locked.

if you can do simple for little money perfect!
perfect location, bus stop with buses to all corners of the island, right around the corner. Laundry, street food and restaurants. Super nice host! WiFi is very good.
The bed was already very sagging, the linen was washed but very stained. We booked a private bathroom, but the room only has a shower, no sink and no toilet.

Go, go, go, go!
Super nice guest house! I liked it very much The rooms are modest, but located in an old guarded building, preserved from those times. Air-conditioned room and bathroom outside. A big plus of this place and Jackie who is a wonderful person! He is genuinely kind and shares his love for his island with you! I was able to spend time with him and his friends for a meal! An opportunity to experience moments of life like a local. In addition to small private rooms at a ridiculous price, it is for the sake of meeting Jackie that you have to go here. I advise 100 times Thanks again, Jackie Chan! Possibility to cook on site, laundry right in front of the guest house, many restaurants on the same street, Cat bus (free) stops 5 minutes walk, where you can take the ferry.

Friendly welcome in a central yet quiet guest house
Great location, on a quiet street next to Chulia and Komtar streets. Clean, spacious rooms with air conditioning, kitchen. The common sanitary facilities are also very tidy. Very friendly owner. Good information about transport. I felt very welcome here.
Nothing, it's all right. Tip: A bookcase with books to trade would be nice.

Excellent stay, we want to come back
Excellent host (very friendly and always willing to help us), great location (we couldn't wish for better), very spacious room with windows, very clean bathroom and shower. Without a doubt, to come back one day :)

I would not come back
Location
Book a room with a private bathroom and when we arrived we saw that the toilet was in the common area. That is, we only had a shower inside the room. We entered with a gopro camera and left without it. We don't know what happened or who, but we went in with her and left without her.

Yes, Jackie is great, but the guest house is no exception.
I stayed here for 4 nights, my last nights in Malaysia. The guest house, besides the price, has many positives: new air conditioning in the room, hot water shower right away (in Malaysia this should not be taken for granted), the room is tailored for me and ideal for a solo traveler (I have always had to stay in rooms for two in other guesthouses which added to the cost for a solo traveler like myself) really central location. Then, of course, I confirm the friendliness and hospitality of the host Jackie, but not only! All the staff are very helpful (only with some difficulty in English) and if there is any problem they are ready to accommodate your needs. So don't worry if Jackie isn't home, one of her staff will be there to call if needed! In a word, in 15 days of Malaysia, this was the place where I felt most comfortable. Thanks again, we love the guest house.

Hospitality above all!
First of all, greetings from Jackie! Malaysia is not always very hospitable, so this was good for us! There is no window in the room, but there is no unpleasant smell, it's nice. Everything is clean, tea, coffee, water. We got exactly what we expected! We highly recommend this place, very well located!

Cozy guest house in the center of Georgetown with a great host
The owner was great. Immediately upon arrival, they gave us all sorts of good advice and a map of Penang. Took me and another guest from a guest house to Penang Hill for a hike. The room and showers were basic and incredibly clean.

Quiet but in the center of Georgetown
The accommodation is very good, the staff is excellent and very helpful. The room is very small, two beds, a small table and a trash can, very clean.
The bathroom was not always so clean. There was basically no toilet paper and especially no toilet paper basket. So you always had to carry it into the room, which is terrible. Please provide a trash can by the sink or in the toilet!

Great place to walk around the old part of the city. All in your hands. The owner, Jackie, matters. Friendly, caring, ready to lend a helping hand if needed. He also makes hikes for those who are interested and is very helpful with his advice and suggestions. It is very interesting to talk with him on any topic. Have a nice stay.

Great Relaxation Day
This is indeed a good place to relax. There are many food and tourist attractions nearby. The accommodation environment is good, quiet and comfortable. The owner and the staff are very kind and considerate to the customers.
