Good uncle!
I think it's older than I thought.
・Breakfast was delicious. ・The garden was splendid and worth seeing.
・There were no tissues or hair dryers in the room. ・Although it is described as a public bath, it seems to be quite small in reality, and I was urged to use the unit bath in the room. ・There was no advance notice that the restaurant was closed during the stay. ・It tasted like a lot of time had passed since the white rice for dinner was cooked.
The garden is beautiful.
The feeling of daily life was everywhere, and it felt like I was in a servant's dormitory rather than a space for customers.
The garden was beautiful and the food was delicious.
・The shower room is unisex and has only curtains. ・There is no tissue in the room (I contacted the front desk, but they answered that they do not handle it) ・Voices from the next room can be heard ・A large number of stink bugs ・Slippers are not prepared for the number of people, and they are stolen by someone in another room on the way.
The view of the garden is wonderful. Not for Japanese The owner is kind, and the breakfast is Japanese.
I didn't know how to get hot water. There was no convenience store nearby.
The garden was so beautiful.
I shivered with the cold and spent the night unable to sleep well. There was air conditioning, but it didn't work well and the comforter was heavy. The coldness spreads through the mattress. It was my mistake to mistake the annex for the new building and the shared bath for a spacious shared bath. If you choose the time, I think it's a good ryokan for a good price.
There is a parking lot.
A few minutes walk from the parking lot (front) to the room. The room is completely separated by fusuma, so the noise from the next room leaks out. The fusuma is locked from the inside, so it may be good for security, but light leaks in and you can hear conversations and sneezes. Also, regardless of the time, you can hear the sound of someone walking in the hallway or brushing their teeth all the time. The bath can be locked, but the shower room cannot be locked. One of the toilets can be locked, but the other has a toilet that can be locked in front of the toilet for men, so it is possible that the man will be using the toilet when he leaves the toilet. There is no appearance in the room. No tissues. Poor location of outlet. TV is small. The shoji is hard to open. Even though you can stay at this price in November in Kyoto, it was quite a shocking accommodation. I don't understand the concept of ryokan, but if you write "guest house" or "youth hostel", I won't be shocked.
Zen garden is fantastic, saves everything else
Dirty to the point that it doesn't look clean, very expensive for what it is, doesn't give a good idea of what a ryokan is.
Good value for money. I had a large room in the ground floor annex overlooking a very nice garden. Very quiet, very clean. Possibility of using the kitchen. It was quite far from the center of Kyoto (40 minutes by bus) but not far from the main temples of the Northwest (Kinkakuji, Ryoan-ji, Ninna-ji). The ryokan is well equipped with maps and bus information.
The location was a bit out of town but it was the typical hotel accommodation we were looking for. Everything was clean and functional but as we were out of tourist season we were the only guests staying at the hotel.
The surcharge was a tax that was not known and received no receipts and had to be paid in cash.
Quiet, very traditional room with futon and kotatsu, kimonos at our disposal, the garden is superb!
It is very far, 20 minutes walk from the first train station.
The garden, the view and the style of the ryokan itself, it is very beautiful, it has a good restaurant and being there you feel like in another era
In general, everything is very good, the only thing that is very far from everything, but it is quite possible to organize public transport.
Washing machine and dryer available, shared and private bathroom, water dispenser, breakfast and meals available on site. The friendliness of the staff. Japanese garden in the center of the ryokan. General Atmosphere A bus that serves the place perfectly and connects it to Kyoto.
The views are fantastic! Very cozy room and place of all dreams.
It may be audible in other rooms, but for this type of placement, I think it's hard to avoid.
Waiting on customers
I was soaking wet when I tried to make tea in my room.
Great experience in this typical Japanese accommodation. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The location is somewhat far from the center, but close to a lot of temples and Mount Atago.
The accommodation is some distance from the center, but two bus lines allow you to get there quickly
The bath is lukewarm. Not a shower toilet.
It was reasonable and good, and the employees felt like good people.
I don't want to say too much, but I couldn't open and close the room because I couldn't use the key. Also, I can't sleep because of the noise from the room along the road. Since I am traveling alone, I don't mind any room, but I couldn't stand the above two points. I want you to do something about the key and the noise. I could not see the garden from my room.
It was beautiful and private and still had good connections
The location was nice. It's also close to Arashiyama.
It seems that it was not the room that I saw on the internet, but the one when it was newly built. It would be nice if there was a photo of the shared items.
Shortly after check-in time I'm sorry, but smoothly Thank you for responding
Capacity is good
scary
Staff, location, facilities
Nothing
Great place, we usually travel due to the price of hostels, but you must do at least one ryokan while in Japan! Great evening, very friendly welcome, cleaner than clean!
It's a bit out of the way but accessible via a JR Pass compatible bus line.
The only thing we really liked was the very nice and well kept garden. ...and the breakfasts are good but not crazy.
Everything was pretty dirty. Shared showers are separated by a thin plastic partition and curtains. The sheets had hair and suspicious stains. The shared kitchen was relatively clean. Very bad smell in the room due to the humidity, but we can't blame them for that because it's very humid in Japan. This is the most disappointing place of our trip, although you were looking forward to being in a ryokan. We were also surprised to see a large cockroach appear out of nowhere. There were round yellow mold marks on the sliding doors, also due to the humidity. There was a lot of dust and the wooden walls crumbled a little in the corners. The paper hiding outside on the window doors is generally torn in places. The staff was only unfriendly after we reported the cockroach, the manager, probably drunk or sick, very old, slept with his head in his hands on the counter and woke up with great difficulty around 10pm and didn't say anything after that. . The atmosphere is somehow gloomy ... quite expensive for nothing. And finally, too many tourists, few Japanese.
The plants in the garden were taken care of and I was healed. It was nice that the sheets and yukata were clean.
I think it would have been better if the bath amenities were a little more substantial.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
It would be nice if the dinner and breakfast prices were a little cheaper. The TV reception was bad and I couldn't watch it on the way.
Ideal location overlooking the inner garden. The western breakfast option is very good.
Very nice staff
Good hotel ね! ありがとうございます! This hotel really amazes me. It doesn’t lose the courtyard scenery of the scenic spot. I feel like I can sit there and look out the window in a daze for a day. The staff in the store are also super nice. The grandma and aunt are very cute, and the young lady at the front desk is also very kind. The hotel Everything is well-arranged, and everything is very comfortable. Some people say that it is far away from the scenic spot station, which is indeed a bit, but it is precisely because of this distance that you can experience this kind of scenery at this price. I think it is totally worth the money! (And there is a direct bus from Kyoto Station, which is also very convenient)
There are small bugs in summer, but I can understand...there are no others, and I am very satisfied!
The Japanese garden at the inn was wonderful. You can freely use the shared kitchen, shower room, private bathroom, etc. freely (with respect to manners), the toilet is clean, and staying without meals is cheap. It was good that the parking lot was wide open.
Nothing in particular.
Gorgeous garden by night and day Simple but spacious bedroom with two bathrooms; restaurant, their sushi was amazing and served with lovely japanese dishes. the traditional breakfast is very generous.
slightly away from points of interest and bus routes
The room was quiet and big enough. Very nice garden.
The food and cleanliness have deteriorated due to a change of ownership in recent years. The sedziwende were partially broken in our room. The shared bathroom had the impression that the cleaning was very superficial.
The egg dish was delicious and well done. It was a cheap room, so I don't know the facilities in other rooms. I was grateful that they were able to accommodate my request to bring in the laundry and change the battery for the night light.
I was worried about the sound of the roof under the roof in the middle of the night. It was difficult to open and close the room key.
The restaurant staff were very pleasant.
Greet at the front desk for a smoking receptionist... No hot water in the bathroom
In general, the room is quite clean, overlooking the street and opening the door is towards the garden, quite airy
Quite far from the center, although close to the bus station, it is still not very convenient. The room is also quite old
The ryokan was clean and the welcome was pleasant. Convenience store less than 10 minutes walk and laundry facilities. The restaurant serves good breakfasts as well as dinners.
The room was small and poorly soundproofed. The ryokan is also quite remote, with two buses connecting it.
The Japanese garden is nice and the views are great.
The room next door had only one fusuma (sliding door), so I could hear all the voices and it was so loud that I couldn't sleep well for one of the two nights.
The store clerk was friendly
I wanted to use the public bath
I think the room I stayed in was a detached room, but it was a building with a beautiful garden a short walk from the main building where I checked in. The rooms are separated by fusuma (sliding doors), and as soon as you open the door, you will be in a tatami room. It was my first time in such a room, so it was new. However, if there are noisy customers, their voices will echo. The toilet, bath, and shower room are shared by all guests, but there was a clean toilet with a washlet, and the bath was old but clean. A large refrigerator was placed in the common space, and there were plates and cups. I don't know if there were chopsticks or forks. There is a place where you can eat kaiseki, soba and udon in the main building. I had dinner, but it was very delicious and it looked beautiful. Breakfast can be reserved at check-in.
the garden was well taken care of
sound leaks
