The accommodation and the whole facility are lovely. We were alone there and could fully enjoy the view. The room, kitchen, bathroom were fully equipped and left nothing to be desired. Mr. Salvo was very hospitable and gave us a lot of advice. You definitely need a rental car and you need to have strong nerves when driving in Sicily, but it's worth it and the place is well located, so you can get to Etna or Taormina "quickly". We have never stayed in such a unique place to stay and will hopefully be back soon.
The villa is impressive, with a courtyard / terrace overlooking the coastline on one side and the Etna craters on the other. Having at your disposal a whole complex of this level with a park and an orchard for walking is a dream. Great location to reach the entire northern part of Catania and 30 minutes from Fontanarossa airport. Indoor parking, spacious rooms, fresh air, a table in the garden and let's not forget the kindness and availability of those who welcomed us and advised us in everything!
The villa is an "anti-technological" structure both in terms of its geographical location (on the slopes of Mount Etna) and the antiquity of the building itself. No air conditioning, no TV, no Wi-Fi and no hiccuping phone line .. you have to disconnect a bit from everything ..
The structure is excellent, the manager welcomed us very well and satisfied all our requests. Recommended for nature lovers and lovers outside of busy urban areas.
Everything. If we could, we would buy this wonderful old house and leave Salvo as a tour operator and a great breakfast maker, but above all as a friend.
Salvo met us and then was an exceptionally good host! Wonderful breakfast with homemade marmalade from fruit from the garden.
Charming house surrounded by a beautiful and large garden. The strong point is the exceptional reception of Salvo, who cares very much about his guests; He took care of our stay, visits, excursions to the Aeolian Islands, trekking Mount Etna with efficiency and precision. A great base from which to explore this beautiful region of Sicily. Very good linens.
Equipment is a bit limited if you want to eat there. The scissors are missing from the kitchen. Wine glasses. Larger system for preparing coffee. Bedroom lighting lacks privacy. We need warmer LED bulbs. These are details, but they improve the usual ...
Villa with impressive views of the Mediterranean and Etna. Salvo advised us very well and organized our excursion to Etna. Breakfast is killer, count on 1kg weight gain per day.
The large well-kept garden of the former winery is very quiet. The breakfast was typical Sicilian, very tasty and adequate. Salvo, the host, was very nice and helpful. We liked it there, as well as the fact that we were in the middle of Etna in the north and Etna in the south, so that we could see both.
The only thing is, you didn't have a window for ventilation. There was only one big glass door
Awesome place!!! Paradise corner!!!
