The accommodation is located in the beautiful Porto Venere. If you are arriving by car, you will be picked up from the nearby multi-storey car park and transferred to your accommodation. We had a room with a charming little balcony overlooking the unique streets of the city and the fountain located under the accommodation. The room was very tastefully furnished, quiet, clean and accessible with a small lift in the building. Breakfast had a good selection of savory and sweet options and fresh fruit every day. Giovanni dedicatedly takes care of every guest concern, from preparing breakfast coffee to travel advice and dinner reservations. Porto Venere is the best place to explore the nearby Cinque Terre (hiking trails, ferry service, travel through La Spezia by car or train). We can warmly recommend the accommodation and will definitely visit again.

Small hotel in the heart of the old town. Very nice and well thought out renovation. The bathroom is very nicely decorated, although there is little space in the old house. The parking situation is difficult or impossible, but the owner of the hotel and his assistant Giovanni can help. Be sure to call ahead. Giovanni also assists with all other matters such as restaurant reservations, excursions, public transport. It brings joy.

Access to the minibar in the room was included. Nothing to complain about, if we had to go back, it would be in the Column without hesitation. I would like to especially acknowledge the personal and professional assistance that Paolo gave us from the very first moment when in our case we had to deal with on-the-fly hotel arrival changes caused by the cancellation of our original flight and thanks with him we were able to reorganize and make the trip , which we have planned for a long time, and which at times we thought would fall apart. As for the breakfast, I would say that the combination of products (fresh and natural like fruits, juices, yogurt, pastries and quality jams, gluten free and lactose free milk) was great, as well as having a person who can make delicious coffee. as well as friendliness and an atmosphere so relaxed and pleasant that one can enjoy at the table during breakfast. As for the location, we liked the opportunity to stay in a hotel located in the same picturesque streets as those of Porto Venere, without sacrificing the light that can be enjoyed from the hotel and the good taste with which it is decorated.

The location in the center of the village allows you to fully immerse yourself in local life. However, it is a very suitable structure for couples, for short stays, with light luggage and for people who have no mobility problems (you have to climb numerous steps to reach the house, with no alternatives). Emanuele's availability for any problem is exceptional, from finding a parking space (necessarily far from the building) to transporting luggage to the house (there is a freight elevator inside the house), to advice on restaurants, swimming, entertainment, etc. Due to Covid it was impossible use the common room on the ground floor for breakfast, but the fallback is more than decent: free breakfast at outdoor tables at the bar on the main square, about 300 meters away.

This is not a hotel so there is no reception. Your best bet is to call and meet the host in front of the room (everything worked great) which unlocks with a pin. We were greeted very friendly! In connection with our early check-in, they tried to prepare the room earlier - we were allowed into it at 11 am! The room was nice and spacious, the bathroom is also modern and clean. Late in the evening it was still quite noisy due to children playing in the streets. We were given tips for dinner and restaurant recommendations. Coffee and water are provided free of charge. The owner was very interested in us. We also obtained his mobile phone number - in case of an emergency, he can be contacted 24 hours a day. Overall great experience!
