Super cozy atmosphere, good service, friendly people, ok prices and interesting facilities

Typical German stay
We liked the typical German look of this hotel the most. The coffee at breakfast was very good. Sauna was nice and hot.
The hospitality is there, but it was rather stiff. The people generally did their job well, but a little looser would have been very welcome. No spontaneity seen in 4 days unfortunately. Breakfast was relatively meager. In itself fine, everything you need is there .. except a fried egg and maybe a piece of fish :) The sauna times are very short from 3-8:15 pm. That is also exactly the time that families with children can swim there, resulting in small children in the sauna and shouting all the time from the pool next to it. That is really annoying. So you can't go into the sauna just after dinner. The shower in our room was terrible...it leaked and sprayed everywhere. A good shampoo and shower gel would also have been welcome. Now there is simple soap that you can use for everything and that dries your hair.

Very restful and relaxed long weekend in Bödefeld and the surrounding area
The location of the hotel is fantastic. Very tasty breakfast and dinner. Very hard-working hosts. Very helpful with questions or problems.
The cleaning of the room needs improvement.

Nice village and very neat accommodation, highly recommended!
Very spacious and neat apartment. Friendly staff. In the restaurant you can eat very well. Good Wi-Fi. Supermarket and bakery on the corner.

Tasty
Very nice hotel, a few minutes drive from Hunau ski area. Afterwards, take a swim in the pool and have a nice drink at the bar. Very friendly staff, even when we wanted to rebook that was no problem in the end. So very flexible.

Beautifully designed hotel with phenomenal cuisine
The hotel is located in a picturesque place with old half-timbered houses. The surroundings invite you to go hiking. The staff is very pleasant. Phenomenal food.
The pool water was very cold, but that was probably due to the current situation. For the swim rings, this had the advantage of getting the other guests out of the water quickly.

Next time we're in Bödefeld, we'll look for something else.
The decor of the room is very old and needs updating. The menu has been changed and significantly reduced due to the event.

We will be back again!
The property has a lot of charm. The best thing about the hotel was the great location. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The dog felt good. The room was very clean, the breakfast was sufficient. Dinner was well organized and very tasty.
20€ per night and the dog is more expensive compared to other hotels. The dining room is very noisy. Otherwise highly recommended.

Quiet village with half-timbered houses. 20 minutes drive to the slopes.
The apartment was ok. Spacious, clean and comfortable beds. Good swimming pool.
The hotel restaurant was very poor. The hotel is next to a church where bells ring for a few minutes a day. For example, 5 minutes at 7 o'clock in the morning, and also in the evening. The sauna was a bit dirty and cramped.

Very cozy and calm atmosphere, highly recommended as a family hotel.
Very nice quiet place, delicious breakfast. Clean room. The hotel is definitely recommended. The downside for us was that we had a room upstairs but there was no lift to the room. But we had a quiet corner and a great view from the window/balcony.

The best place for hiking and outdoor recreation
The room was well equipped, very spacious and well maintained. The breakfast buffet also offered a lot of choice. The hotel staff has always been competent, friendly and devoted to guests. Leisure information can be obtained from the reception. Well-marked hiking trails start just a few meters from the hotel. Guests with dogs are allowed after prior consultation with the hotel team.

Successful short vacation
The breakfast buffet was sufficient, delicious coffee, fast service. The hotel is located in a small village. You can only leave by car. Newly refurbished rooms, good facilities especially the pool and sauna which we really enjoyed.
The pillows were very thin, you had to bring your own as I have neck problems. The prices in the restaurant were high.

Very friendly and helpful staff; Wishes were immediately fulfilled. Good breakfast. Good opportunities for hiking.
The cleanliness of our bathroom and sauna could have been a little better. Unfortunately, the tourist bus can only be reached by public transport; bad driving time.

Highly recommended, would love to come again.
We were lucky that in the first week after the opening of the hotels and gastronomy, the first guests were able to stay in a beautiful hotel. Albers and staff greeted us very friendly and we were even able to use the pool and sauna. We felt completely at ease.

Great - again anytime!
The breakfast was very good; the staff were very friendly - you can see the "family management" well; They responded very well to special requests (we were on a hike and our clothes were specially dried).
There really is nothing to complain about - everything met or exceeded expectations. The kitchen and breakfast were great. For the rest of the campaign phase, there were additional ongoing tips and descriptions from the boss.

Very friendly hosts and very good food!
Unfortunately we got an unrepaired room, the bathroom was clean but with repaired tiles and mildew. WLAN was mostly only available outside the room. The sauna or pool area is in urgent need of renovation.

Nice country hotel for a short break of 1-2 days
Traditional Sauerland house in a pretty village right on the pedestrian zone, very clean.

The breakfast was very good. All Corona rules have been followed. The dinner was also very tasty, but the menu was not enough, after a few days you no longer know what to eat.

The owners and the whole team gave us a very warm welcome and took care of us. All wishes (eg Electricity for an electric car) are lovingly and personally fulfilled. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
The room was a bit old and not as pretty as in the pictures. The spa, unfortunately, too. But everything was clean and tidy.

There is no fresh fruit for the breakfast buffet. Due to the spatial conditions, fresh air should not be drawn in during breakfast and dinner. The mattress is too soft.

The breakfast was good. We liked the location of the hotel. Unfortunately we only had rain. The dinner was delicious. served well and tasted good.
The choice on the evening menu was limited. The pool is getting old and needs cleaning. Congratulations on outdoor catering late into the night. In case of no-show, there is no cancellation. The bathroom was clean but very small.

It was a great time!
Breakfast is good, Dinner: too small menu if you are there for several days! Although the food was good. Nice terrace, spacious room.
The bed is very soft, it was very hot in the room at night! The staff was correct but spoke little.

Outside, especially the interior of the room, an excellent hotel.
Good breakfast, too bad there was no fruit. Delicious dinner in a cozy restaurant with friendly service. Good location in a picturesque village.
The outside terrace right outside the hotel is pretty derelict. The room has a meager interior that needed to be replaced 10 years ago. The extractor of the bathroom really goes through the bone marrow and bones.

The room was very large and very clean. The location was nice and quiet. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and service oriented. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of high quality. Unfortunately the wellness center was closed due to crown regulations.
The furniture in the room didn't even match the photographs. Nothing was broken, but the furniture was very simple and old-fashioned.

Comfortable country hotel
Friendly staff, comfy beds, free Wi-Fi and a new bathroom with a powerful jet of water in the shower. Unfortunately, the wellness center could not be used due to COVID-19.
The food was very tasty, but the portions could have been slightly larger.

Nice hotel for a few days.
The location was perfect. The breakfast is very plentiful. Friendly and helpful staff. Large selection for dinner.
The bed was ok, the pillow on the other side was nothing. The blanket was too thick. The wifi was useless. There was a strong signal in the lobby.

Quick check out, weekend saved
Good quality in the restaurant. The place is very romantic and well maintained and the area is great for hiking.
Overnight stays are strongly discouraged as the hotel tolerates noisy bands who enjoy the freedom to fill the entire hotel with loud solo artist music until the early hours of the morning. Upon arrival, there was no indication of this. When we asked the next morning, we were intentionally not told that the band would be playing loud music all weekend. The owner only confirmed this after asking again later. Therefore, it was quite consciously accepted that we, as guests, would have to endure disturbances everywhere. So we cut our vacation short. It's a pity that this beautiful traditional establishment is so badly run.

Sauerland was a very pleasant new experience for us
The breakfast was ok. There was a shortage of fresh fruit. We loved the location of the hotel.
Room 28 was generally ok. The reptiles are very thin and partially broken. The bathroom drain is in need of repair. Renovation would be appropriate.

Here you can definitely feel comfortable without a wheelchair.
Location was very good, breakfast was ok. The rooms were relatively quiet, although they were probably all occupied.
I was specifically interested in wheelchair accessibility. I was assured of such a room. Unfortunately, it did not live up to our expectations at all: my wife could not get to the bathroom in a wheelchair. Unfortunately we couldn't put a wheelchair next to the bed to put my wife in. I had to improvise a lot. Otherwise, we would not have been able to use this hotel. Knowing we wouldn't have any chance to change at this place this weekend, we didn't complain either.

The hotel has been going through years, the pool and sauna need urgent renovation. We had a 60s charm in our souls. Unfortunately, we got the old numbers.

Very nice country hotel
There were really very nice staff here. They were always friendly and ready to answer questions. The breakfast was delicious and the assortment included muesli, rolls, bread, over 4 different types of cheese and cold cuts. There was also fresh cocoa or coffee and juices. There were also eggs and bacon :)). The pool is not very big, but quite ok. He does not look dirty, you can only see that he is several years old, but that does not matter. The sauna is good, accommodates about 5 people lying down, worked most of the day, but always hot. The room was nice and cozy. The house itself is a little clear, but what would you expect from an old beautiful country house. There were plenty of seating areas outside the room. Also, the dining table was very tasty, for about € 50 you could eat well for 2 people and drink 2 drinks per person. The drinks are very cheap. The food is worth the money and tastes great. Of course, there are also cheaper dishes on the menu. Parking is good and adequate.
