A beautiful double room in a 700 year old building. Excellent central location - everything in the old town can be reached on foot in just a few minutes.
Due to the age of the building, the rooms (especially the staircase) are very cramped. Unfortunately, the door to the room couldn't really be closed - you could lock it, but when it was "closed" there was such a big gap that you could see the people standing outside in the staircase... So if you value privacy, you'll love it here probably be irritated.
The beds were comfortable, friendly staff.
There was no ac , just spotty.
Uncomplicated check-in and check-out Friendly boss!
Don't complain
great location - everything within walking distance
The stairs are very steep
The location, next to the most photographed site in Germany. The room was spacious. You could park at the door with a parking meter. To check in there was a box with a security code so it was very fast.
There were two face towels for four and three body towels. The towels were torn and very worn, they should put new ones because it is a bit disgusting. The mattress had like balls. The bottom sheet in the small room was torn and stained and the pillow was made of cotton balls, they should replace it. The ground is very inclined and almost dizzy. The stairs to go up were very steep. You could hear the people upstairs a lot and they woke us up at 7. I could. Leave a map of the city in the room since no one welcomes you. There was no body soap in the shower and the water was not hot all the time.
Very well located in the old town - everything within walking distance. Parking lot very close. Cozy double room with small refrigerator, kettle with coffee & tea. The landlady is happy to help with tips. Pleasantly small house with only 3 residential units.
Quaint house was worth a visit. Super nice landlord. We'd love to come back!
The location is excellent. The owner is nice and we were able to pay with an EC card, one of the few times in Rothenburg. It was enough for one night for us.
The beds are very soft and we had uncomfortable synthetic sheets. The refrigerator is very loud and makes a lot of noise at times, we had to unplug it. Nobody should have to go to the toilet at night because the extremely loud flush wakes up the whole house. It's very noisy and you can hear everything from other guests, so it's not an accommodation for couples. Before I arrived I asked for a tip for parking spaces, unfortunately I was only given paid parking spaces. We found a free parking space at the natural pool within walking distance. It's a shame that this wasn't mentioned to us from the start.
very clean, on the edge of the old town.
We slept in the attic, noisy doors and the floor was a bit crooked.
the room is very nicely decorated, very well equipped and comfortable
nothing
check in and communication without any problems. Location good!
Cleanliness moderate. Furnishings and design rather loveless. Very noisy.
Beautiful authentic apartment, great location, nice hostess
-
great old building with crooked stairs
The bed in our room was very soft and creaked with every turn. The others even had a box spring bed
Very poorly indicated, there was no signage and it was dark, it was difficult for us to find the place. I was traveling with children and they told me that when I arrived I should call a phone, but if you don't have a phone? I had to call a couple of times, no one answered, then they said that they had seen me on cameras. It is not ideal Scale to go up to a dangerous room, if you are of legal age I do not recommend it
The place is very well distributed, it is comfortable hot, cute and cozy. The staff is very friendly, plus they speak Spanish.
The water in the shower was not always hot.
The location is very good. Everything you needed was there.
It was a bit difficult to carry the suitcases upstairs. But that shouldn't be a problem for young people.
We were able to check in late in the afternoon without any problems. You can book a Segway city tour on site, which will be guided by the host.
it was perfect. very central
It has some steep stairs, those with mobility problems cannot go
Exceptional guest house in a 700 year old house, in an ideal location, ideal for 1-2 nights, friendly hosts who gave valuable advice, parking right in front of the door
A bit noisy but ok for 1 night
Very nice and friendly owner who takes his time and makes good recommendations for events or restaurants! The rooms were very clean and equipped with a minibar and snacks! They also offer very good espresso and pastrami sandwich for example!
The bathroom in our room with a shower was a bit small but we were aware of this because the house is quaintly old and cozy, only the shower needs updating ;-)
The room is newly renovated and equipped with everything you would expect in a room. Very centrally located.
The entrance area smells of stale tobacco, which I don't find to be a pleasant welcome. In the customer reviews, the guesthouse has a 10 for breakfast and we were looking forward to it. But no breakfast was included at all. Unfortunately it doesn't have a lounge area, just the rooms. Somehow the information on Booking.com is confusing. The room is on the access road to the old town and it gets noisy from 7am onwards.
A small boarding house within the walls of Rothenburg, a small but cozy and clean room, paid parking within a five-minute walk. Recommended for those who want to experience the magic of Rothenburg after dark, when it is empty of many tourists.
Nothing
The location is just great! The breakfast was very good.
The residence is a beautiful house that has been beautifully renovated so that you don't realize in the room that it is already 700 years old. We were in room 1, on the first floor. The vegetation outside ensures that the indoor temperature was manageable despite the heat. The fan in the room was good (although it could be cleaned). Check-in and check-out went smoothly, the owner welcomes you. Parking in front of the door is free from 18:00 to 9:00. If you are tall (1.84m) you may not be able to stand well in the shower, but luckily there is a bench in the shower. We fixed a large gap in the door by hanging a towel over it. The bed was fantastic, lovely mattress. It is true that you can hear people on the stairs but this is an old house which is too special not to book!
We received a particularly friendly welcome and received some advice right away. We felt very comfortable even though we were only one night guests. The house is 700 years old, very impressive! Great location. quiet at night. Keep warm in the summer, but so in the summer! We slept great, very comfortable bed!
Super friendly owners. Very good value for money, even if not everything is very modern.
The location is excellent. In the center of the old village of Rothenburg. Really handsome. Lots of good shops, Christmas shops, restaurants. Very atmospheric. Evening and day time. We actually ran out of time from 1pm and afternoon until 2pm. We had the top floor of the guest house to ourselves. 2 separate bedrooms with sink and 1 room also had a toilet and between the rooms a bathroom with shower and toilet. We slept well. The windows were well open when we arrived and the fans were on. The owner has private parking a few blocks away where you can park for 5 euros. On arrival just call the phone number and within 5 minutes someone was there.
The shower stall is small and little water was coming out of the rain shower and you had to hold the hand shower and it kept going from hot to cold. So the shower was a bit disappointing. Everything is neat. There was a fridge with drinks we wish we could use but they were all bottles with caps and there was no opener which was a shame. There was a kettle in room 1, but it did not work, continued to beat.
The rooms have been lovingly renovated. Everything seemed new without losing the 700 year old charm of the house.
Good location, enough space
Steep stairs, low doors, almost no contact with the owner
quiet, clean, well equipped, inexpensive parking, competent advice on destinations
The whole package is right here. Very good place to stay in the heart of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. 10 out of 10 stars will be awarded..
The location was super good!
The old door is very beautiful and authentic, but it could have been better locked and sealed. You always had free access to the corridor
The staff at the establishment were excellent, very friendly and always in a good mood. The amenities are also excellent, the rooms have everything you need to have a good stay.
The guest house is very nice and quiet, the hosts are also very friendly and uncomplicated. The starting point is great, an evening stroll through the streets is recommended. There are enough restaurants around. I highly recommend having breakfast at the BrotHaus Café at the slaughterhouse (only 10 minutes walk). There are many playgrounds around the walls of the old town, and the Burgarten is very good for families with children.
The small fridge in the room is well-meaning but unfortunately very loud and kept me up half the night. The TV program was limited to the public service.
traditional
Location, warm welcome, modern amenities.
Living in Rothenburg obviously means living in a museum. Absolutely cool and exciting. I think you should stay two nights to see the city. Very nice. The house is 700 years old, very low and very pleasant. The reception was smooth and pleasant. The restaurant recommendation (Zur Silberen Kanne) was very good.
No matter how beautiful the cobblestones are, it is noisy here.
This small guest house is ideal for a weekend stay in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. It doesn't get much more important than that. Despite the city center location, we were able to sleep in the family room at night with the window open. The welcome from the owner was friendly. She prepared some good advice.
Despite the fact that the building is over 700 years old, we found it very noisy. Every movement on the stairs was clearly audible. Lock to room, partly broken plumbing and hot water on edge. The beds were too soft for our liking.
Best location, quiet
very comfortable, clean, very good location!
everything is fine!
The location was great and quite quiet. The house is just cute and full of charm! Check in was easy and the owner is helpful and friendly.
First class location, right in the old town, large public parking for 5.50 euros / day 2-3 minutes walk, clean, very comfortable beds, rooms for 4 people opposite each other as described, the bathroom is between and there is a 2nd separate toilet in one of the rooms, great view, nice house with typical steep stairs, on the top floor with a safety device for children or dogs, this is allowed and costs only 7 euros extra, It is quiet at night, the house has poor soundproofing, but if all the guests will behave well, it shouldn't be a problem. Very nice hosts, good wi-fi, easy check-in/out and great tips for dinner (it was delicious in the silver pot 😋) Because there are really bad and, in my opinion, very unfair reviews: The cottage is certainly not for people with limited mobility, maybe not ideal for very young children (should fit max from preschool), I personally wouldn't book long term either, BUT! If you like typical city life in a small witch's house, don't have huge pieces of luggage, don't have to be very tall or wide, like getting what you order, want to be right in the middle of the action, you should love it! 😀
The house is 700 years old and has a great atmosphere. The rooms are lovingly furnished, modern and in line with the age of the house. Very comfortable bed, fridge, kettle, tea, coffee available. Has a spacious shower room. Everything is super clean. The location is perfect. Parking P1 five minutes walk. The famous Plönlein is 300 meters away. It's about a 10 minute walk to the market square if you take a leisurely walk. If we go to Rothenburg again, we will definitely book Lädle.
without criticism
Room facilities and location
Look
Authentic building 700 years old. Cozy and cozy.
The hot water supply was a little disappointing.
cleanliness, location
if you don't flush the toilet quickly enough, the rooms smell a bit
This is a very nice old house. It is very well located a few steps from the wall.
The accommodation has a great, very central location. The room is very cute and furnished with love. For us it had everything we needed.
Location
Little information in the room
Environment
any
Great location, quiet. Had the top floor (both rooms for us). We were 2 adults and 2 children. Stair gates are available in the hallway. The vestibule or staircase remains open. Children shouldn't be too loud because you can hear everything downstairs. The bathroom is ok but a bit cramped.
There were some problems getting the right temperature in the shower.
Very comfortable and spacious bed. Perfect location, right in the center. Parking spaces right in front of the door. Refrigerator available
The windows, unfortunately, are not soundproof and you can even hear the conversations of passers-by on the street.
Central location. The room was new and comfortably furnished, as shown in the photo.
The bathroom was ok. and according to the purpose. It's a shame that it wasn't renovated as lovingly as the room.
Good location in the old town, that's actually all...
Extremely loud room with creaky floors, very very noisy room, there is constant chatter in the stairwell, loud guests, no decency, it was very loud early in the morning, NEVER this guesthouse AGAIN!!!
location and typical traditional atmosphere
Check in was uncomplicated around the clock using the key box. I didn't meet the owner or the staff in person. The accommodation is very close to the center, walking distance to the old town, all sights and various supermarkets. Parking costs 5.5 euros per day and is about 5 minutes walk. The room was clean with a mini bar and very comfortable beds.
Bathroom is a bit old. The house was very noisy and unfortunately we had relatively noisy neighbors who came into our room by accident. Of course, the landlord can't do anything about it.
Great location, accommodation in a very quaint medieval house. Very friendly owners.
Small and dull bathroom, it could be arranged differently or enlarged by reducing the size of the room (and it is large).
The pension is very well located, the hosts are friendly, the room (No. 1) is clean, quite large, with good beds. The pension is very well located, the hosts are friendly, the room (No. 1) is clean and quite large, the bed linen is good.
Our windows overlooked the street, which turned out to be much noisier than we could imagine (people singing and talking at night, cars passing by in the early morning). Our windows overlooked the street, which turned out to be much noisier than we expected (people singing and talking loudly in the late evening, passing cars very early in the morning).
Beds are very good. Drinks from TV, kettle, coffee, tea in all rooms. Very nice owner, we will be back
Pleasant telephone contact. The room was good. Generally good. Definitely good for staying on the go. Located in the center.
Not a "personal" contact, but by phone. Without breakfast. The key to the safe.
We were very satisfied. Friendly staff with good insider tips.
A charming place in a great location
Convenient location and all the fun is within walking distance. CheckIn and CheckOut are simple. Everything you need is available and in good condition. Charming house with different door heights and creaky floors. If someone comes down the stairs and is talking, it creates the acoustic impression that he is walking through our room. But other than that we didn't hear anything from any other guest.
the small fridge in the room was so noisy that we turned it off. Information on how check out should be would be good, we did it as we thought and sent a message through Booking that we were out. We did not meet the owner, only on arrival there was a short telephone contact.
Basic but adequate rooms, kettle with tea/coffee making facilities and a small fridge. Super central location, ample parking nearby (day pass €5.50), large comfy bed, nice roof beams, nice owner who gave us some good advice.
Unfortunately, very poor soundproofing and very loud street noise in the evening and in the morning, as there is unfortunately no traffic in the center of Rothenburg.
Super central location, easy check in with electronic key box, very nice owner. Chic, modern room with sink and kettle + mini-bar, large comfortable double bed, private bathroom.
You should know that this house is 700 years old and listed but unfortunately it is also quite small with small door frames and a bit noisy. Not that bad, but very charming, but less suitable for tall people;)
Location
Everything except the location
Quirky room with comfortable bed, fan, private bathroom and fridge, central location, very good value for money.
Unfortunately we didn't meet any of the staff during our stay (1 night) (key in the box) so we couldn't buy anything from the adjoining store or order breakfast. The bathroom is built more for small people.
Very good location right in the old town, village house, well equipped room, easy contact with the owner
The location in the city center was great. Everything can be reached quickly and easily.
The bathroom had everything, but unfortunately it was very small.
Unique - extraordinary
Nothing
Great place for a family with 2 kids. It's good that the apartment has 2 bedrooms. The location was great!
Modern and clean, very "nice" rooms - perfect for the atmosphere of the old town.
The location is very central, on the main street in the center of the city, and at the same time surprisingly quiet. The owners are very nice, helpful and give great advice. The room is very clean and tastefully decorated. The combination of modern furniture and historical atmosphere is an impeccable success. The bed is large and very comfortable, the bathroom is tiny but perfectly functional and newly furnished. There is a kettle and everything you need to make tea/coffee in the morning, very well thought out! Wireless and TV were of course also possible. A really well thought out concept that can be recommended.
Steep stairs are useless for older people and dogs with hip injuries, otherwise everything is fine!
Well located room in the medieval town of Rothenburg in a typical small house. It is very convenient to spend the night there.
Pretty basic room and very cramped bathroom.
The location is unbeatable... right in the historic centre, on one of the "main streets". Super quiet at night. Because of the Crown, Rothenburg was generally very empty. Comfortable bed, cozy room.
Too bad breakfast was not possible due to Corona. If you could improvise.
Lovingly and modernly furnished room with a perfect location for exploring the historic city center. Parking spaces (P1) are around the corner and are completely fine at 5.50 per day. Very nice landlord with good tips for exploring and restaurant suggestions.
700 year old house - but great. Only hit his head once - but with full force. Almost technical KO. My children were happy. Super landlord who takes care of the phone and was very helpful with the key safe. The location in the hospital district is of course top.
The Hais could be designed or expanded even more beautifully. For example wood instead of laminate. No woodchip wallpaper. Parking should be better described.
Very nice staff, nice rooms
Everything
We have been regular guests at the Lädle for many years. We still know the old owner. Now the accommodation is run by a young family. It is astonishing what renovation work has been done. The new furnishings, the floors...really very chic and comfortable. From the outside it's still the same old shop. The hosts were very nice and they even carried our luggage up. We had both rooms right under the roof. Very cozy and chic. There was a bit too little toilet paper but it was brought when asked. Due to Corona there was no breakfast but a kettle and fridge were available and there are countless bakeries in the city that offer breakfast. There is a free parking lot nearby. All in all still a great place to stay. I wish the family all the best and see you soon.
Great location!!! Super comfortable bed 👍👏 Lovingly and tastefully furnished
Absolutely nothing to complain about
Nice little guest house. Handing over the keys went smoothly and very easy through the safe. We had two rooms on the top floor, the steep stairs didn't bother us, the rooms are clean and spacious and the exit from the windows is great. Highly recommended.
Very friendly owner, there are good tips available. The location is unique, in the center of the old town. The rooms are cozy and clean.
Everything is great!
Super nice host, great atmosphere, very good value for money. I highly recommend. The accommodation is also right in the city and the P1 motorway is next door.
Modern furnished room, clean and central. We felt very comfortable here.
The location is simply outstanding. About a minute walk from Plönlein. The rooms were clean. The owner is friendly and gave us good tips about museums and restaurants.
The building is quite noisy, in the morning it was good to hear the other guests.
Cozy and great stay
Nothing
Very good location, building that is authentic for Rothenburg (that is, but also e.g. creaking floor, low doors, old wooden doors of the rooms), nicely furnished, there are restaurant recommendations
A bit noisy in the room opposite (we had a baby in the next room, but otherwise you probably don't hear anything from other guests), no reception (but email contact possible, always quick feedback)
We stayed here with our child and two dogs. We were warmly welcomed. Every morning there was coffee and breakfast if you wanted. This is a cute little guest house, very clean, very attentive and highly recommended. We were right in the old town, the location is great. The object is well preserved. The pension is very small and cute, we would come back again and again!
Everything is super!
