Good location near the motorway, useful for getting around and at the same time convenient for reaching the center of Munich. The staff at the reception were helpful and kind.
Horrible and smelly bathrooms, the room was never cleaned in four days, they only came by to make the bed. The corridors smell of sewage.
Rooms under the roof are far too small, making them extremely warm and stuffy. It was not possible to open the windows at night due to the lock and the corresponding volume. The cleaning staff were not very careful and hardly had a kind word to say.
The hotel is located in an idyllic location on the Würm. The staff in the neighboring breakfast restaurant were very friendly and took care of the guests.
From the outside, the Hotel Schleuse makes a rather run-down impression (broken door window, nettles in the flower bed, knocked and scratched interior doors). The house does not have an elevator. The bathrooms in both rented rooms were clearly too small. There was mold in the shower in both rooms. The cleaning staff only cleaned superficially. When we arrived we had an extra bed for a third person in the twin room, but only one seat - that's not possible. The price/performance ratio was in no way correct.
The location of the hotel was good. All sights were close by. A spacious 4 person room. Clean towels every day.
Hotel room was poorly cleaned during our stay, floor was really dirty. Shower drain did not drain properly, mold on the ceiling near the shower. Toilet didn't flush properly either. Sofa bed was very hard. We had no WIFI for 3 days, not much was done about it. There is only 1 table available for the entire hotel with 6 chairs on the outdoor terrace next to the restaurant. It is more of a transit hotel, most people only sleep there for 1 night and then travel on. During this period almost all restaurants were closed in this place.
Installations
Needs a little more cleaning in some areas
Windows could be opened, no thermostat set too warm Spacious room for family
Lots of dust and dirt
Practical
No reason to complain
The location is ideal, close to the city yet sufficiently removed from it.
In the bathroom, the shower was too small; the seals on the shower doors had to be put back in place several times. The sink was not properly cleaned.
The room was quite large for a three bed room and the mattresses appeared to be new.
The bathroom was extremely small. Toothpaste splatters on the tiles and on the door, dirt on the soap dispenser in the shower, dirt on the shower enclosure, the shower enclosure wasn't tight, didn't close properly, the seal was hanging next to it. Room was noisy as there was the terrace of an Indian restaurant directly below with loud voices until well after midnight. View of the river from behind the restaurant terrace. Since it was hot and we only had a small fan, closing the windows wasn't an option either. The door to the hallway didn't close tightly and was hanging askew on its hinges. Rooms bare and loveless. Hotel doesn't have its own reception, you have to go to another hotel to check in, the receptionist there was very nice. We didn't have breakfast, so I can't say anything about it.
Drain smell in the room. The room temperature was so high that the room should not have been rented out. Dirty bathroom.
The availability of the staff. We had some problems with the room but the owner solved it by giving us a small refund.
Transport connections with the centre.
Beautiful, clean, elegant!
Exaggerated price, inflated because of the concert, after two days, the price was 40%...
No elevator available, arriving with a stroller, room on the 4th floor, reception in another building, poor signage, no WiFi password from the hotel & no telephone in the room, an Indian restaurant + beer garden right next door (noise level pre-programmed)
Breakfast
Apart from the friendly boy at the reception, this was not a nice hotel. Way too expensive for what it was, very impersonal
The hotel has a very interesting restaurant (Weichandof) nearby, which it uses as a location for breakfast. In the surroundings there are also other varied restaurants (traditional Bavarian, Greek, Indian, etc.) of quality. I score the location as a reference of my destination (KMW)
It is a multi-storey building with no lift, set back from the main hotel-restaurant (Weichandof). The rooms are very modest. I went during the Bau fair and the prices were skyrocketing throughout the city.
nothing
The accommodation is outdated and just destroyed! The rooms are so dirty it feels like you are in a landfill!!! Simply disgusting and NOT recommended! Stains of all kinds (blood, urine) adorn the floor!
Large, bright room, view of the lock, functional spaces. Bucolic exterior, well connected by public transport. Possibility to have dinner at the nearby hotel
No complaints
location
Price 15 sqm for 184 euros without breakfast 😔
clean, relative. inexpensive
a little noisy
Overall everything ok. Clean with everything you need. The reception is in the other hotel (about 100m walk)
The pillows should be less flat. Tip: order an extra pillow. The toilet creaked when you sat on it and the shower head should definitely be descaled. Breakfast rather simple.
Rooms were not clean, especially the toilet, which still had urine on the seats. Room was not cleaned and beds made during stay.
In a calm neighborhood. The room was very spacious.
Unfortunately the floor was very dusty and not clean. It must have been forgotten during the cleaning.
- hearty and quality breakfast - functional room, well laid out, spacious enough for a family of 4 - close to public transport
no flap
breakfast
The shower could have been cleaner. And one bed sheet had lipstick and makeup stains on it.
The breakfast was sufficient, there were different offers. The location was good, the city center can be reached quickly by public transport. The staff was always friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately the room wasn't cleaned that thoroughly.
The central location, free parking, uncomplicated check-in
The third bed was just an old pull out chair, stained on it and totally uncomfortable. So we folded it up and found old socks, a crumpled up duvet and lots of dirt/dust underneath. The pillows were stained and should really be replaced. The cleanliness in the bathroom left a lot to be desired. The price bears no relation to the performance. We cannot recommend this hotel.
The beds are very good, foot-free, there is also enough space. Good location I think. Last time - room on the top floor - everything was fine, except for the smell of the food in the restaurant
In contrast to the last time (everything was ok, room good and everything was fine) this time I wasn't satisfied. Room 20 was next to a connecting door. Every time someone walked through, the whole room shook loudly. The bathroom was extremely cramped. If I wasn't so slim I wouldn't have been able to use the toilet. The missing toilet paper was not supplemented. Say, there were 2 days simply none. So overall the service was not ok. It smells from the Indian restaurant. Gloomy Light.
The hotel is idyllically located directly on a stream. Restaurants are within easy reach and there are several in the immediate vicinity. Rooms were clean and tidy, comfortable bed.
The rooms are quite noisy. I find the breakfast a bit overpriced, even though it was good.
Good location
The hotel is totally run down from the outside. The glass of the lamps in the parking lot were all broken. Everything was pretty overgrown. There is no bar where you can sit down and have a drink in the evening. The light in the hallway was on all night and it shone through the room door so the room was very bright. The bathroom wasn't really clean. There was mold in the shower.
Easy access and totally nice reception from the reception. Quiet location and good dinner at sister hotel.
Spartan, not really comfortably furnished. Very hard bed and thin blanket. Not easy to find and poor parking.
Clean, fairly spacious rooms. Good location, parking, breakfast bookable
Pretty simple old house, with rather gloomy corridors
The hotel is in the central location
the room was very, very narrow, hardly any space to move, it smells like damp everywhere.
- Apparently it was recently renovated
- unpleasant smell in the room despite airing a very unpleasant smell (probably came from the Indian kitchen below the hotel) - Room floor was not clean - Bathroom wasn't clean
large, quiet DG apartment.
Little things were fixed immediately by the friendly staff.
The rural setting and in a very forested part of Munich. Very nice houses around. The road very close but discreet for the noise. The reception. Very welcoming and accommodating lady, we were able to have the room a little earlier. THANKS !
No way. The Monday morning waitress serving breakfast. Establishing a military order. Not refusing me, for example, to take my espresso in a mug. Claiming that it was not done and serving me - at my insistence - the lukewarm coffee. Situation never seen in all my travels.
Very nice location and still practical for transit. Very nice, large and very clean family room. 3 nice restaurants within 2 minutes walk. It was also no problem to take our dog with us. Easy check in/out and parking even for big cars. It doesn't get any better than that.
1 point deduction because the hair dryer was mounted on the wall in such a way that the cable only fit into the socket with a bang and a bang. First the hair dryer didn't work at all, then it kept going off. That was just a bit inconvenient when you're pressed for time in the morning. Otherwise I would have given 10 points. We were briefly irritated that you had to pick up the key from another hotel. But it turned out that the hotels are only 100 meters apart.
Free parking available Indian restaurant on site
Room size / bathroom size Too warm in the room bed uncomfortable
unfortunately nothing special.
small insects in the room.
The hotel is beautifully situated directly on the Würm. It was quiet except for the sound of the river (we liked it and almost couldn't hear it with the window closed). The family room went over two spacious floors. The bathroom is nicely furnished.
There was a hair dryer in the bathroom, which was great. Unfortunately, the power supply was screwed on and the cable to the socket was not long enough without an extension, which fortunately we had with us. The standard beds were great, but the sleeping chair for the fifth person was not able to offer sleeping comfort.
The bathroom was really, way too small! You could hardly go to the toilet without bumping your knee on the sink :-) and The room was a bit smoky. I don't know if I specifically booked a non-smoking room, but from the smell of cigarettes in this room I would suggest that non-smoking rooms should always be the standard.
Parking wasn't a problem
Extremely economical room, older furniture - shower could be "refreshed" again €79 + €14.50 breakfast On arrival there was no indication that the reception was "lock" in the "Weichandhof".
Good facilities, clean. Very friendly staff. Courteous, helpful. Good food in the "house restaurant". Breakfast: Extensive, very lovingly prepared, rich in detail. Breakfast staff: very attentive, very attentive, friendly and competent. Breakfast alone is enough to stay here again.
Good equipment - except for small things: defective hair dryer, shower towel would be nice = "pill palle".
The hotel is in a quiet location. However, you can still be in the center in 15-20 minutes by public transport.
The room, especially the bathroom, were not particularly clean. The room was acceptable for one night, I wouldn't have wanted to stay there longer.
Visit to the Oktoberfest. Good location (connection to the motorway and public transport to Theresienwiese)
🤭 a water would have been good. "negative industry normality": doubled prices at trade fairs and Oktoberfest. Despite advance booking.
The rooms are functional and it was clean. I found the mattress very comfortable. Decided to add breakfast for 14.50 euros. It was rich, varied and very tasty. Since the overnight stay, like a week earlier, was supposed to be an overnight stay, I was allowed to leave the car in the hotel parking lot, which was fenced with a barrier (as it was last year). The hotel also features the Weichandshof restaurant, where breakfast is served, as well as a beer garden with a delicious selection of food. There is also an Indian restaurant in the Schleuse building (also with delicious food). Those who prefer fast food will find a KFC restaurant across from the hotel's car park. The hotel is close to the motorway, so it is also suitable for business travelers who have an appointment in the north of Munich or want to travel west and north.
Some silicone joints in the bathroom can be updated. However, he was clean. A small tea/coffee set with a small water heater would be nice.
We really liked the small fridge in the room, furniture modern, Soap, shower gel and toothbrush mug available
The legacy of the previous guest could still be seen in the toilet, The "double bed" consisted of two single beds that were pushed together and unfortunately often shifted, so there was often a gap in the "double bed"
The room was well located, at the end of a corridor, with a mezzanine; which the kids really liked. The presence of a small lake almost on the territory of the establishment was also something very calming. We liked it!!!
It took a bit of searching for reception, readings are not very clear which I find. Perhaps we should put in a few more arrows so we don't have to ask people we meet nearby.
2 extra beds available Castle location varied and good (next door)
Bad shower drain
Super breakfast
Large room
the floor is dirty, no kettle and glass
The surroundings are very pleasant. The structure has a lot of potential and once the renovation of the canal and the lock in front of the hotel is finished, it will definitely be a nice place. The hot drink dispensing machine and the common room are appreciable. The restaurant below the hotel, despite the smells and the voices of the customers, is not annoying at all.
Unfortunately, during our stay there was a construction site under our windows (one day the works even started at 6.04 in the morning) and the machinery was also activated at 23.40 in the evening, all recorded on video; very early in the morning the workers shouted to each other, waking us up abruptly, a few meters from our beds, in the evening they rested (legitimately, for heaven's sake) sitting facing our windows, forcing us to keep the curtains closed for privacy. At night the scaffolding could have allowed some attacker to climb towards the room, making us keep the windows closed in the heat, accentuated by the lack of air conditioning. It must be said that the fridge is purely symbolic, as it does not cool, but on the other hand heats the surrounding area a lot. The cleaning of the bathroom was correct, not the room: we found crumbs, not ours, in the bed on our return, the same cobweb was present throughout the stay and there was dust on the floor even after the "cleaning" (the all documented with photos).
The place is quiet but central The breakfast is plentiful and varied
The room is very dark
Very quiet, cozy and clean atmosphere!
The location of the hotel seemed to me perhaps more suitable for people arriving by car. I haven't looked but to see if it's well served by public transport.
Was very clean, great staff. Absolutely to suggest.
Parking places
The room was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable.
Unfortunately, the sheets were dirty and the rooms are very noisy.
beds and location
used pillowcases and towels under the sofa
Due to the outside temperature, the impossibility of opening the windows (no mosquito nets in front of the windows) and the location of the room (top floor) we had the feeling of being in a sauna all the time at night. On some days the floor was not cleaned and on one day the used towels were taken away but no new ones were placed. We had to go looking for the "sauna" at night after returning and then accidentally discovered a closet with towels on the floor below.
free parking
we have booked a triple room. the third "bed" was not a bed. it was a pull-out ARMCHAIR, which of course was absolutely not suitable for sleeping.
The staff was quick and in a good mood. Not far from the hotel there is a bus to the S2 every 20 minutes, so you can always get to the city quickly. There was nothing to criticize about the room, our expectations were exceeded.
For about 15€ the breakfast was ok.
The slope room is very small. Weird: the smoke detector was sealed with a transparent film, so it didn't work! Blatant insecurity!
The location and proximity to the highway.
Breakfast was disappointing. An hour and a half before the end of breakfast, the buffet was empty. Replenishment was a long time coming. Even the coffee wasn't ready and cups weren't ready either. The breakfast was very carelessly directed. Breakfast was not good value for money. We were particularly bothered by the poor cleaning of the room and bathroom (e.g. reservoir in the room, hair in the bathroom).
Location right on the river bank, easy check-in, comfortable, functional room.
Hearty and high quality breakfast
Nothing
Space
check into one hotel and stay at another hotel
nice location, easy check in and check out
the room was clearly not (properly) cleaned, toilet was very dirty on the outside. when we wanted to go looked under the bed and there was a bottle of coke (not ours) and other rubbish. it was also hot in the room.
The breakfast was ok but the room was cramped and there were too many guests for the buffet.
clean, welcoming
too much noise, the the entrance door to the floor was slammed causing an "earthquake" in the room. in front and below there are two restaurants, plus a construction site that woke everyone up at 6
Modern interior. The presence of a refrigerator. Located near a small castle. Nice park nearby. There is a wonderful restaurant nearby.
small parking lot. not always available. no lift. there was no kettle in the room. I would like to have tea or coffee in the room in the evening. The windows overlooked the terrace, so it was very noisy. smell from the kitchen.
It was neat and nothing to complain about.
Noisy construction site in the morning and windows blocked from the outside.
The dirt under the bed was a little annoying, as was the construction in front of the window. (Even if it was, unfortunately, inevitable)
The hotel was easily accessible by bus.
Equipment of the last century.
This hotel is located a little outside the center, but very cozy area near a small river. We heard trickling from the stream outside. This is an old building with modern renovated rooms. Located in the immediate vicinity of a nice restaurant, but we chose to take the car to Park & Ride and see Munich. P+R is a short block away. Can be recomended! Own parking space on the outside which was a bit tight, but they also had spaces 100 m away so we had space with our large car.
We were 2 adults and three "children" aged 20, 17 and 14. He, aged 20, took the guest bed which was a chair that could be folded out and was not very comfortable, he said, so it could have been better. Otherwise we had 4 other good beds.
The rooms are attractively large and spacious. The location of the hotel is super good. Very quiet location but only a few minutes away by public transport.
There is no air conditioning. Since the minibar is built into the table, it is not well ventilated and gets very hot. It made the room incredibly warm. Little or no storage space in the bathroom
The quiet location was great and the beds were very comfortable. In addition, the outdoors is very pleasant. Despite the construction site We were very pleased with the hotel.
The food is in a different building and relatively expensive for a typical standard mass produced breakfast. In addition, a stone was placed at the intersection to prevent turning at a sharp bend. It is not visible or marked from the driver's seat. So it damaged our car.
The room is large and is located in an area that should (usually) be quiet. Easy access to the city center (bus + tram) in about twenty minutes car park
Just below the hotel, under our windows, there is heavy work. The workers started at 6:30 in the morning...it should be reported on Booking. The reception is about 100 meters away. No air conditioning Non-blackout curtains A very bad smell in the bathroom/toilet.
good location - large family room and close to freeway. Good breakfast
Worn hotel - dirty floor - lack of soap in dispensers in bathroom - there should be an aircon in the room. As it gets really hot in the summer
I don't know where to start. We have stayed in many hotels but we have NEVER been treated in such a rude manner. The room was dirty, the first thing that struck me was bugs on the bed. The carpet in the foyer was covered with old stains. The light around the room was controlled by a central switch. If you turned this off, the bedside lamps also went out. So you could choose between festive lighting or complete darkness. There was a drinks/snack machine right next to our room. Drinks were fetched all night, which were handed out with a loud rumble. Sleeping was out of the question. At 9.15 a.m. a very unfriendly gentleman from housekeeping came, who simply came into the room and said we should leave the room by 11 a.m. at the latest (check-out time was 12 p.m.). We were then disturbed twice more, because something was supposed to be repaired. The curtains were hanging down and people were smoking outside our room. From 5 o'clock in the morning there was noisy work outside. No parking spaces were available. To check in you had to go through the crowded beer garden of an economy to get the key of the 100m away hotel.
cozy and clean. nice place for a night on the way through Europe. nice breakfast buffet.
the toilet ran all night.
We are longtime guests in this hotel. Our disappointment was that we got a small room in the basement. It was very hot and we couldn't keep the windows open at night. in the bathroom there were only bath towels, but no towels, and the shower template was missing. The bedside nightlights didn't work properly - you had to get up to turn them off.
In the closet there were about 8 empty water bottles from the previous guest. The rest of the room was clean. After the 3 days of my stay, the empty bottles were still in the cupboard.
Clean and tidy, large and lovely family room.
The sound from the stream was very noisy when you had to sleep with the windows open.
The breakfast was delicious, but you should be aware that the breakfast must be purchased separately. The hotel is located in quiet surroundings on the outskirts of Munich, with a short time to the center.
All rooms too small I ordered a double room and got a single room.
Very calm. You felt not like in a big city, but like on vacation in a small village. Rich and varied breakfast buffet with friendly staff.
A small part of the waiters were not very attentive, others even more
Location
Unfortunately, the shower hose is defective.
We were very well received. Our room was a good size and tastefully decorated. There are towels and a hair dryer. The sofa bed for our children was prepared. Ample free parking available.
Unfortunately our toilet had a free toilet seat. No spare toilet paper roll.
the location on the water is good and you can quickly get to the center of munich by public transport.
There should be a cheaper price for breakfast.
bedroom space
parking problems
Location is good!
Breakfast at 15 euros was a bit overpriced! Construction site next to the hotel!
Nice staff, peaceful and quiet location. Wifi worked flawlessly. Standard for this price very ok :)
Hot, stuffy in the rooms, because the wood warmed up during the hot day. An additional minus is the smells from the restaurant wafting straight into the windows of the room. Air conditioning would be a great solution.
The room was furnished beautifully and well maintained.
The room was in the basement... and there was a huge construction site right in front of the windows... the construction noise started at 6:00 a.m.... and numerous construction workers were moving right in front of our room window. That was very uncomfortable. And all night we heard water rushing outside the windows...sounded similar to heavy rain...only it didn't rain. I think this construction site should definitely be mentioned when booking over the Internet, as it is an enormous nuisance.
The location is very nice, Munich city is easy to reach, breakfast buffet was good.
Room wasn't really clean, traces on the toilet bowl, shelf was smeared, trash can not emptied, holder for the hand cream ripped out of the wall and placed on the sink.
Simple room without air conditioning, clean, OK for a short stay - since it was very warm on the day I stayed and you could hear the water running when the window was open, I didn't have a quiet night. But I would come back in colder weather. Beer garden/restaurant right next door, great.
Volume, no air conditioning, room was very warm.
the bed was comfortable
the window from the room is too thin, has no soundproofing. therefore, even though the window is closed, you can still clearly hear the noise from outside, so you can't rest well...
No positive experiences to report.
Room wasn't clean. Floor was very dirty. Room is not air conditioned. was extremely warm upstairs. Windows had to stay open at night because the heat in the room was unbearable. Large creek at the hotel therefore very noisy with the window open. No elevator in the hotel.
good facilities and car parking free of charge in the house.
The cost of the ordered breakfast was obviously too high for us - 21 euros per person. A simple breakfast would be enough for us.
I liked the location of the hotel, a quiet comfortable room with a river outside the window, as well as friendly staff. A pleasant surprise was the free breakfast from the friendly hotel.
Location within the castle
stunk ! unclean
The hotel is located directly on Würm. A beautiful park is located to the north of the hotel, along the creek. Beer gardens and restaurants within walking distance.
The location was very good for Munich, quite rural on the river and between the trees. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and satisfying, though not perfect (the scrambled eggs are too salty). The rooms are quite spacious, nothing is missing from the equipment. The Indian restaurant in the same building cooks very delicious food!
Unfortunately noise early in the morning due to a nearby construction site from half past six! But this is only temporary and probably cannot be affected by the hotel managers. It was a little inconvenient and confusing to check in not in the building itself, but in another hotel nearby.
beautifully appointed The rooms were well appointed and reasonably priced The hotel staff go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible
there is currently construction going on behind the hotel, which unfortunately resulted in noise day and night (pump) So work was only possible to a limited extent. We were told on the day of departure to the reception, who immediately wanted to deal with the builders.
The accommodation was very nice, but since there was a construction site right outside the window, it was often very noisy
That the construction site was right in front of it, which will probably last until the end of the year and nobody reported about it before that
The first room was in the basement. Cold without heating. Tv didn't work. After that, the 2nd floor (we requested a ground floor with a dog) was a very small room.
Location right on the Würm
The rooms are modern and spacious. The location is near the castle in an idyllic location.
Very small bathroom. The hotel room is directly above the restaurant, with the windows open, the exhaust air from the kitchen enters directly into the room. Very unpleasant!!!!!!
Good location
Cleaning could be more precise in bathrooms.
good location, 3 restaurants in close proximity
The cleanliness of the rooms was disastrous.
Stuffy room under the roof, a chair was missing and had to be obtained personally on the ground floor. Apparently renovation in the house. There were dowels from housework lying around in the room, undefinable paper floating in the toilet, television was not plugged into a socket. After that was done, no instructions, channel list, self-search: ZDF not found, first at slot 44, RTL somewhere around 150, complaint at reception with the answer: Sorry, we'll think of something to compensate: no consequences. Breakfast in a partner hotel 100 meters away. At breakfast for 14 euros: if you can still find scrambled eggs, then probably only a "cool" one. Overall: an unexpected fiasco
My family stayed at the hotel, but I didn't stay there myself. They were very pleased, which of course also makes me very pleased. Thanks a lot. With pleasure again. :)
Very good breakfast, friendly helpful staff
Position room size parking spot
The heating in the room was off, the room had to be warmed up for 2-3 hours Carpet in room badly stained and worn Soap dispenser and shower gel dispenser empty Price breakfast €15 a bit high
The room was on the top floor - no elevator - although almost everything was free. The room was unheated when I arrived.
The room at the Weichandhof was great, clean and modern. The service and friendliness of the staff were very good. Our problem was fixed immediately - sh. below. We didn't order breakfast there. No one eats that much for breakfast for 15 euros per person per day! Unfortunately there is no bakery nearby. However, we were able to have breakfast alone with relatives. The bus will quickly take you to the railway station in Pasing or to the S-Bahn station in München-Allach and from there to the city centre.
Our original Hotel zur Schleuse room was ok, the carpet was unfortunately very dirty, the bathroom is no longer quite modern (the shower doors didn't close properly, there wasn't enough storage space). On the second night we were woken up at 4 am by a loud buzz. Luckily it stopped, but the night was over for us. After our complaint, the caretaker discovered that the heating was not ventilated. Unfortunately, trying to fix it did not help. Then we got a replacement room in the main building (Hotel Weichandhof) without any problems and at no additional cost. Many thanks to the very nice staff who took care of the problem very quickly and politely.
Good location, beautiful river next to the hotel, very close to the A8 motorway entrance.
The beds are not very comfortable.
Check-in was at a nearby hotel, but went very smoothly. Good staff.
The property is a bit old. The room was very cold
The only positive thing is the convenient location of the hotel.
We were given a double room on the top floor, where one bed could only be reached by bending down. The hotel seemed otherwise empty. The bathroom had no heating, the hand basin was as big as those in powder rooms, but a wide glass shelf, so that you hit your head when you bent over. It is booked by us on account of experience, we will never go there again.
large room with space for family of 5
much too small sink, mold in the bathroom, carpet very stained. no reception, no breakfast on site, but in a nearby other hotel. there the front desk was not always occupied
Location on the Würm / rural / no traffic / short distances
Change of room / hot water defective Unclean upholstery stained Unclean floor - stained Partial smells from the restaurant/Indian/environment- unclean
We were there before 5 years ago when we were passing by Lake Garda. The room is still nice, as is the bathroom, but it shows signs of wear, especially on the carpet. Apparently the guest didn't pay attention... The hotel is run by a sister hotel, there is also a breakfast buffet for 14.90 euros in the morning which is excellent! Be sure to try it!! So lunchtime is cancelled. In the evening, you can eat at the nearby hotel (good home cooking - but very good!) or at the Indian restaurant on the castle (this is also very good!) In summer, both have a beer garden, and the Indian one sits by the water!
Breakfast was not taken - coffee was taken in the common area (1-1.5 euros, coffee machine). I liked the mattresses, not so much the pillows, but I slept fine. When it was cold, we turned on the battery heating. Cleaning and towels were changed daily. At our request, they gave us an iron and an ironing board. Easy checkout - keys in a box. Outdoor terrace. Nearby is a park with Blutenberg Castle, swans in the lake. Near Nymphenburg. Close to transport stops. The hotel was quiet and clean. Polite staff.
There is a rapid river nearby - it interferes with the open window, but it was cool and we closed the window at night. It was necessary to go to the center by bus + SBAN, but not for long. The check-in at the hotel is nearby - but it's not far, 5 minutes, the staff there speaks English and explains everything. At Hotel Schleuse, the staff does not speak English, but still easily understands what you want - "on your fingers". The room is spacious, and the bathroom is small - but we survived - it was clean, shower gel. The light is a little dim, but we didn't come to read books. The mini-fridge was working. There was 1 chair, although the room is for 2 + folding chair. The second chair was missing.
The location of the hotel - if you have a dog with you - super and quiet. The room is furnished with modern furniture, the walls are modernized, unfortunately, they forgot to remove the old carpet (stained). Breakfast was excluded.
The hotel property is located in the city center on the outskirts, but in a quiet place and with a cultural atmosphere.
Unfortunately, no new towels were left after the room was cleaned and the used ones were gone. Since it was already after midnight, we didn't want to get in touch because we would have had to walk to the Weichandhof.
I find the process very easy. Check in at the Weichandhof, check out simply put your room card in the designated box. Room number 14 directly on the Würm. If you like the sound of the water.
Everything great 👍
The location of the hotel was good, easy to get to the city center by public transport. We especially liked the belly behind the house and the soundproofed windows.
In the bathroom the floor was not clean even after cleaning. The holder and the hose of the shower head was broken.
Warm, comfortable, very aesthetic and easy to park next to the area, with a rustic and family atmosphere.
There was no soap in the bathroom
Location perfect for us. Breakfast was good. Price for 3 year olds rather expensive.
We had room 24, just above the restaurant kitchen. It smelled very much like food. Pretty disgusting when you wake up at night and think you're lying in the fume hood of a kitchen. On request we could change the room, but then we had to go back to the hotel before 2 p.m. to clear the room!
Very quiet. The breakfast was great too and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Most of all I liked the stream flowing under the window.
What was not great was that we had to look for the front desk first as it was not directly in the hotel but a little further away.
Room was very clean and tidy. Check-in was easy and went very quickly. The employee was extremely friendly. Since I had booked the hotel for an overnight stay for the purpose of a bike tour and booked another night a week later, I was able to park my car free of charge in a hotel car park with a barrier. It was safe there and I couldn't find anything unusual when I returned (the parking lot is not directly at the hotel, but a block away). Particularly commendable is the great beer garden of the hotel, which I used for the second night. The food was delicious (see also my second rating).
I didn't really dislike anything. You should only know that behind the building there is a stream with a step. The building used to be a water mill. As a result, the noise level with the window open was quite high. But with the windows closed you could sleep quite well. For the second night I had a different room. From there the creek could no longer be heard as loudly.
Yes, the breakfast was very good, adequate, well presented and fresh. We were very surprised by the Weichandhof. A cozy inn. With very tasty, fresh food, great service.
For this category, it fit. I would like a little more cleanliness.
I booked two nights each. In the meantime, I was on a week-long cycling holiday and booked a hotel for an overnight stay. It was very easy to get here by car and the city center (or Zob) was also easily accessible by bike. I was able to park my car in a parking lot with a barrier. I was greeted very warmly by the manager. Everything was already prepared, the check-in went quickly. To check, all you had to do was toss the door card in the mailbox. The Weichandshof with its cozy beer garden also belongs to the hotel. Menu selection is very good. Bavarian cuisine with a twist. For example, I ordered a Vinen Alpenburger with caramelized red onion. But the other dishes also "sounded" good.
breakfast
no elevator in the hotel, rooms with sloping ceilings, so that one bed could only be reached by bending down, Unpleasant clothes from the Indian restaurant in the room, stained carpet, room too small and too expensive for 2 people
Next to the highway. Calm environment. Parking at the door is possible. Very good bed.
The duvet is too warm for the current season, although the mosquitoes are sifting through it. This is the only negative we can think of.
We were passing by and just wanted to freshen up and sleep. There were five of us and the room was very spacious which was very nice. Great showers, beds and the receptionist was very funny and very helpful.
Nice big room. Good location on the river bank.
Registration took a very long time. The rooms themselves were clean, but the soap dispenser was very dusty and hadn't been cleaned in a long time, and there were bottle caps in the room. It was very noisy outside in the evenings due to the beer garden. Very warm beds for 30 degrees outside temperature.
Quiet place
Things are good
Very clean + large, modern, bright rooms. Very friendly staff. Top location (20 minutes by S-Bahn to the main station/M-Zentrum + about 1 km from the A8.
By city rank of a big city, quiet, idyllic!
Everything is fine
Very nice staff at the Weichandhof reception. The hotel is very idyllic. Good value for money.
The windows could not be opened due to the volume of the castle. The bathroom is very small for 4 people.
Quiet place
Soundproof rooms, rooms getting old (bathroom moldy in the corners, stained carpet), in the corridor it always smelled of cigarette smoke
room size. Soundproof windows
Window curtain detached from rail
Professional, friendly and easy to communicate with guests,
No breakfast due to Corona. But we wouldn't have booked one either, prices are very high at €15 per person.
When I checked in, I was given first names How come? I'm 61 years old, didn't know the man..
The environment, in the summer the stay there is very nice, the jetty on the water or the Terssse that you can sit there.
There was no contact person around the clock, we had met other guests in the hotel who were also angry about it. Since it was very cold at the time, there was no heating, it was very cold in the room.
good price!
the river was way too loud
It's ok for one night, but that's not the case anymore. Parking spaces are free, but some of them are not located directly at the hotel.
TV programs were not installed - it was necessary to select the 10 most common German channels (ARD, ZDF, SAT, RTL...) from around 200 channels. In general, everything is no longer quite relevant.
Drinks and coffee machine.
The rooms are old and dirty and musty.
Thanks to Corona, check in was very late at 5:30pm and a little tricky due to having to get the key from another hotel, but then everything was fine. The hotel is next to the castle and our room is next to a roaring river that rushes past our room with a loud roar. It was an experience because a place for everyone was built outside right next to the lock. The room was clean and nicely furnished. The windows do not let in the deafening noise.
Cumbersome check-in and difficult parking
Quiet
Room smells a bit. Old carpet flooring, stained. Cigarette smoke smell in the stairwell.
Price and quality!
Everything is great!)
Idyllic spot on the Würm. Reception just a few meters away along the Würm. Downstairs in the house an Indian restaurant with an outdoor terrace (didn't bother us at all) We had a family room over two floors, highly recommended. Shower very good (water pressure), small fridge, TV... We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back. There is a coffee/tea/cocoa machine (delicious 1€-1.50€) and a snack/drinks machine with bistro tables inside and outside for the guests downstairs. KFC, Greek (highly recommended) etc within walking distance. Reception very friendly and the waiters in the restaurant. Parking in front of the house or with the room card in the restricted, video-monitored parking lot at the entrance to the hotel.
nothing
The location was good, the hotel had its own parking.
Very noisy neighbors who slammed car doors in front of the hotel at night and then continued to make noise in the rooms. There is no night porter in the house, it is noticeable. Everything else is good.
guests alone in the house. Equipment no longer up to date. The musty smell.
The location is very good close to the Würm. Proximity to public transport.
The carpet is dirty, big dirt stains. Neither of the two bedside lamps worked. The bathroom wasn't clean either. The value for money is not correct.
Big room
Bad beds, very noisy due to river water
The hotel is right on the banks of the river and close to the highway. Value for money - good. Does the hotel have a restaurant. Quite noisy on weekends due to restaurant patrons. The hotel car park was full but the street parking is free. In general the hotel was good.
The location was great for us Unfortunately there was no breakfast due to Corona. Great price for Munich
The crib was always right in front of the window of the single room.
Rooms large and spacious. Ideal for families with children. Location also very nice. Good connection to public transport (bus). We liked it a lot. Thanks to the team.
Toilet in the bathroom could have been planned better. Toilet bowl on the left side only about 2cm away from the wall. Sitting on the toilet was only possible at an angle. Otherwise there is nothing to complain about. Bathroom was pretty spacious.
The nearby creek was very noisy despite the windows being closed!
Good location close to Munich. There are plenty of things to do and/or eat in the area so this is a good stop.
The place was not completely clean; bedding was (partly) dirty, bathroom was partly moldy
Partially a bit noisy due to Asia restaurant guests.
The framework The location The reception staff
Very well located...very good bedding...very quiet hotel and location...restaurant recommended by the exceptional receptionist gasthof zum alten wirt...
Per: Parking spaces were available room clean beautiful in nature 24 hour reception
Wifi didn't work My room was supposed to have a river view, but it didn't Reception about 5 minutes walk from the actual rooms
A good place to stay for 1 or 2 nights, if you don't pay attention to the bare minimum and one or two flaws. The beds were clean and comfortable, we slept well. We could bring our dog with us, which we could even offer his large dog bed in the spacious room.
There was a constant unpleasant smell of food in the room, which obviously came from the lower floor. A window could not be opened. The bathroom was tiny and only equipped with an equally tiny storage space under the mirror. The shower stall, also tiny, didn't close properly and, in my opinion, can't be used at all by a corpulent person. We were also disturbed by the dark carpet that was obviously laid out throughout the house, which, with the best will in the world, you couldn't tell if it was clean. I can't say much about breakfast. Because of "CORONA" we were able to get sandwiches, coffee to go, 1 apple, 1 muesli bar and a colorful Easter egg in a paper bag from the main building. Unfortunately there was no table in our room where we could have breakfast.
Air conditioning would have been nice, it was very hot. Stair gate for the stairs would have been nice in the family room.
Everything !
All was good
The room was spacious with plenty of room to spread out.
No WiFi, or only for one person per room and not always. You couldn't get in. If you sleep lightly, the lock is very noisy.
The location is perfect. You can get anywhere. The staff was very friendly. Restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
The parking spaces don't seem to be enough. You're lucky if you find a parking space. In summer you want to sleep in a room with a comfortable room temperature. Unfortunately not possible as there is no air conditioning.
Purity
Reception from staff
Located in a green oasis in the north of Munich, a very nice resort with good regional restaurants and a somewhat expensive Indian restaurant right next to the hotel building. The rooms facing the lock are "noisy" if you like to call the natural hydroelectric power that way. I loved the sound of the rushing water from the bedroom window.
Room size, location, many restaurants
Didn't disappoint but there was no kettle
Just the location right on the river.
We stayed at the hotel for the second time in three years. Everything was fine last time. This time we had a very old room with a very dirty carpet that could no longer be cleaned, an ancient toilet seat that had been eaten away by the cleaning agent in the worn-out bathroom and worn-out greasy cloth armchairs. Apparently not all surfaces were cleaned because of Corona. Maybe other rooms are better, but we didn't want to stay and try it.
The staff at the reception is very friendly and accommodating. The beer garden in the main building is very nice. The Indian restaurant is highly recommended.
The cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired. Carpet not vacuumed, several undefinable stains. Shower head completely calcified. (was exchanged after complaint) Cobwebs in the bathroom. On the first day the bath towels were wet put together and hung up. Significant renovation backlog in our room. The advertising of each room is handed over freshly disinfected, which is not true, at least in our case.
Very modern and large room.
The river next to the house is nice to look at but unfortunately very noisy at night. The windows need to be better insulated.
Great location relaxing environment
Poor and inattentive cleaning
I didn't like anything about Hotel Schleuse except the price
No Internet. The employee recommended reading a good book. The room wasn't clean. Hair in the bathroom, small spiders in the corners and the room stank of smoke. I had the feeling that the rooms were craftsmen's rooms, some of which were busy for several days in Munich and the surrounding area. After my intervention we got two rooms in the Hotel Weichandhof the next day. And for that I have to say thank you again. The hotel is very nice, the rooms are nice, the internet works except in room 106. There seems to be a dead zone there, but the best thing of all is the restaurant. super nice staff, Great food! Salute to the chef. Whether it's a schnitzel, meatballs, steak or salad, everything is of the very best quality and super tasty. The potato salad - I've never had a better one. Grade 1 with distinction. Conclusion. You want to enjoy your trip? Then invest a few euros more and book yourself into the Hotel Weichandhof. We loved it. At this point, many thanks again to the receptionist, who rebooked us easily.
Great value for money. Ideal for a weekend. Very nicely located and close to the center of Munich. Check in was very friendly. There was no room service or breakfast (only to go). Here and there there is a stain on the carpets and a spider in the corner, but this didn't bother us as the hygiene was generally very good. The bathroom was small but everything you need was there. The room therefor very large.
The location was good, comfort (beds) was ok for the price.
Unfortunately, the bathroom fittings were very old, cleanliness was OK.
Very good location close to the highway. One night stay. Very good price-quality ratio. Close to a gas station and restaurants. Clean and well-kept rooms
An idyllic place with a beautiful garden by the stream. I slept very well with the window open on a comfortable bed to the sound of a stream. From the point of view of the crown, a very professional treatment. Attentive front desk staff. Excellent value for money and quality!
Everything was ok
Very quiet and beautiful place. Not far from the bus stop, from which you can easily get to Marienolac in 30 minutes (only one transfer to the S-Bahn)
- From a previous guest, I had a pair of dirty socks under my bed and a rotten apple next to my daughter's sleeping chair - It's a pity that, despite repeated requests, no secure bike parking was offered. Outdoors, in a public parking lot owned by an associated hotel, it's just not safe enough for me with high quality bikes.
The location is unique, right on Würm and very quiet. The environment is really very beautiful. We had a room overlooking the river right at the gateway, when the window is open, the sound of water is very intense, but it immediately stops when the windows are closed: the windows are very well soundproofed! Restaurant directly at the hotel or also in the immediate vicinity.
From arrival to departure we felt very comfortable. The rooms were well equipped. Nothing was missing except breakfast. Unfortunately, due to the Corona period, for obvious reasons, we were unable to offer anything. The accommodation is located right on the Würm, a small river where you can swim on nice and hot/warm days. Overall, I would choose this accommodation again for my visits to Munich. Thanks a lot :)
...
The room was very big, the bathroom quite small, but everything was very clean. The room overlooked the stream. Right next to the house there is a spillway that creates a background noise similar to the noise of a waterfall. Therefore, we could only sleep with the window closed. The windows are very good and no more noise was heard. The staff were very friendly and polite, the breakfast was perfect.
Breakfast excellent, staff very friendly! Room clean enough.
"Single room" with four (!) very narrow beds, carpeting in need of renewal. Bathroom tiles from the 70s, bathroom extremely small.
The hotel was easily accessible, the staff friendly and courteous. Overall worth it!

the carpet stinks
