The Pouls Hof Hotel is located in a very nice place very close to Erfurt (approx. 15 minutes by car). There is also a very good bus connection. The hotel impresses with its very friendly and competent staff. The rooms are super clean and comfortably furnished. The best thing, however, is breakfast. There is no buffet, everything is freshly prepared and served to the table. In short, we felt completely at home and can only warmly recommend the Pouls Hof!

We were extremely well received and looked after. I had read some reviews in various places online that highlighted that it was expensive and that you didn't really get value for money, but we didn't feel that way at all. On the contrary, given the attention to detail and passion for food and wine (and therefore the ingredients), the correlation between what we paid and what we got was extremely favorable. Enormous room (actually a whole apartment) and really good food with great respect and knowledge about quality were just two of the things that made the accommodation very affordable.

It is only a few km to Erfurt and there is also a connection to public transport. Check-in was hassle-free. We felt very comfortable. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The own restaurant with evening meals was also good. We were able to sleep very well in the beds. Luckily the beds didn't have a footboard. Pets, especially dogs, are very welcome. The hotel is extremely attentive and friendly to dogs. We really, really liked that. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the field. Terrific!

The breakfast is a highlight, good selection, attentive staff, delicious scrambled eggs, crispy rolls. Rooms are big enough, but a bit sparsely furnished. As always, more chairs would be good, at least two.

It was in a very small town, so very quiet but you are dependent on a car or at least a bike. Breakfast was very individual and the dinner was also very high quality.

It's not a 5 star hotel, but it doesn't promise that either. Your own description fits it well and also reflects your own standards, which you meet there. The guests are responsible for the "loud" room doors if they simply let the doors slam shut. Without the closers, the doors would often remain open. The criticized church tower clock can hardly be heard, despite the open window. WLAN is not really fast, but this cannot be held against the host as there is only one provider. The mobile network was always sufficient for us. Almost universally 5G. (a small note to the business millionaires who depend on high data rates: do not drive to remote villages where it is known that there is hardly any network connection and do not complain to the hotel if your 19.90 € third-party provider is not sufficient) For us it was four very nice days and we felt very welcome. The restaurant is also managed with great dedication. With his passion for his job and his expertise, our waiter ensured a beautiful and enjoyable evening. Our food was of excellent quality. The grass-fed beef surprised me a bit at first because it wasn't really pink anymore, but it was tender and tasty. The prices correspond to the quality. That is a good thing. We'd love to come back.

The team is well attuned and everyone is busy trying to please the guest, finding the right balance between genuine friendliness and exaggeration. I always talk openly with other people what I think, and that's how I was met here. It is often the case that a second visit to a boarding house is perceived less well than the first, which is due to several factors. It wasn't like that for me here - I felt just as comfortable as I did 2 years ago. The young chef didn't get stuck in the province and implements very good approaches to modern cuisine in his daily menu: several steak variations, venison escalope, Thuringian farmer's duck, various starter soups, intermediate courses (scallops) made my heart happy. I once interpreted a dish as a "detox plate" in a broader sense. Every morning and evening the staff tries to create something new and special so that it doesn't get boring. The proximity to the Avenida-Terme was very important to me for relaxing days.

Fresh pastries, sausage, cheese, muesli, fruit, jam, spreads... whatever your heart desires in the morning. :) The room was clean and comfortable, the view was picturesque of the church tower and the fields behind the rooftops of the village. The food was very good and also decorated and served with love. If possible, we will be happy to return.

Breakfast is served directly to the table and was also delicious. There are many possibilities for excursions. Hohenfelden is very close to its reservoir, adventure pool, open-air museum, climbing park, now in winter with the "Thuringian Brilliant World" and much more. But Erfurt and Weimar can also be reached quickly. We felt very comfortable and happy to recommend him. Thanks a lot! 🙂

The breakfast was served at the table, which we found very good. Nothing was missing, and if it was, you could always have had it. Erfurt and Weimar were easy to reach. (Erfurt by bike, Weimar by car - because of the weather)

Our room was the size of a family room, the sofa bed was made for the little ones. Everyone slept very well. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, at dinner even a request for a non-alcoholic children's cocktail was granted. There is a great playground nearby. A big plus, for breakfast you get sausage/cheese right on your breakfast plate, even the buns are already on the table. Everything else, such as yogurt / nutella / muesli, you can take with you. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures.

I slept and ate breakfast here but didn't have dinner. Good and comfortable bed. Spacious, somewhat dated bathroom but with a reasonable to good shower. Good modern TV, normal WiFi. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. Ideally located for the traveler traveling from east to west (or vice versa). It is located not far from the highway.

The hotel is clean and tasteful, the staff is very nice. The process of arrival and departure was quick and uncomplicated. We celebrated a family celebration in a small group and had a room for ourselves, the table was nicely prepared and the food á la carte was delicious. The breakfast table was also beautifully set for all of us. The breakfast was tasty and sufficient. The location of the hotel between Erfurt and Weimar and near the Hohenfelden reservoir offers variety for people of all ages.

Restaurant - unusual menu

We had booked a standard room for 5 nights, but it was not suitable for several nights in the "hotel". That's why we were given the opportunity to move into a comfort room. The deputy service staff tried to make our stay more pleasant. The breakfast was attractively served. The beds were comfortable.

The decor of the hotel was loving, you could tell that the owners, interior designers, had put a lot of effort into it. Everything seemed harmoniously coordinated. The welcome was extremely nice and friendly.
