The location is great. Nice and quiet and parking is not a problem. The hostess was very friendly. The keys were conveniently handed over using a key safe. If we hadn't been late, we would have been received personally.
You had to enter the apartment through the private kitchen; since the closet was hung on a metal chain, you felt unwelcome; We were only allowed to use the beautiful roof terrace in one small corner, with folding chairs and a stool (why are you posting these beautiful photos of the roof terrace you are not allowed to use???); kitchen even without a pot; single beds were better than daybeds; you noticed everything that happened in the kitchen of the owners (including small children); early check out, because after 10 hours of work there was no rest / sleep!!!
The location is wonderful. A charming village with a wide view, a church in front of the house, fields and hills beckoning for hiking ... A cozy bakery around the corner and, best of all, no car needed. Bus, train ...., everything is easily accessible. We were received very friendly. I would like to return.

Comfortable beds are a pleasure to sleep in. Great rooftop terrace that you can use
right across the street is a church where the bell rings every half an hour and a full hour!! with closed windows, but tolerable!
One double bed: very large and comfortable. In principle, the rooftop terrace is very nice. The hostess is friendly.
It has been stated: - separate living area - child locks - private parking - fully equipped kitchen roof terrace, absolutely no separate living unit!) In fine print, the kitchen was referred to as a camping kitchen (but you should figure that out first if the title advertises a fully equipped kitchen), but there were no pots and pans, and it looked like the homeowners would have preferred her if guests go out to eat or order. Washing up the dishes would also be very difficult in the tiny bathroom. The table is small and wobbly, don't know how to eat there potentially 4 people. The fridge in the room is tiny and noisy (turns on every 5 minutes with a loud "bing", need a good night's sleep not to be disturbed). There were no child safety devices (for those who would care!), as well as adequate parking. There was no cleanliness, at the same time we only had cold water, the church bells of the church directly opposite sounded very loud, and on Friday and Saturday evenings there was a party in the parish hall, which is also almost opposite. The roof terrace would be a huge plus - if there was at least enough seating. Three at a table in the mini bistro and with only two chairs, hmmm, that doesn't make up for the wobbly mini table in the room either. The clothes rail did not look very impressive and serves as a substitute for a huge wardrobe in one of the rooms, which was locked with a chain, since the owners themselves obviously use it. Not very pretty, both in appearance and from an accessible location.
The location was great... The bakery next door... The best coffees there... The large terrace with the four-poster bed was great, unfortunately it had been refurbished and wasn't as tidy. Nothing is missing in the room
The shower was clogged, we removed the filter ourselves and hope that it will be cleaned for the next guests... This is the only thing that was not very pleasant...
We felt very comfortable! The apartment is fully consistent with the description and sparkling clean. The hostess was very easy to contact, handing over the keys was a breeze and we were even greeted with beautiful fresh flowers. A pod coffee machine, kettle and tea were available so we could start the day in comfort. We felt very comfortable and will be back anytime!
The bedrooms (a guest room, not a holiday home!) looked clean and tidy, unlike the rest of the accommodation.
Unfortunately we had to find out upon arrival that the accommodation booked was not a holiday apartment. You enter the owner's house through a side entrance and then stand in the large kitchen from which stairs lead to the rooms on offer, so these are guest rooms and not a stand-alone unit as you would expect from a vacation apartment. Unfortunately, no one cleaned the corners in the bathroom for a long time, and on the large terrace there was a risk of injury due to defective wooden tiles, in addition, here you could still find an inheritance from the previous tenant, so it was not tidied up here and this area was not at all in the excellent condition advertised in the photos here. We also had to take off our shoes in the house and my white socks were very dirty afterwards, so much for cleanliness in Corona times... Also, one of the bedrooms didn't have a key on arrival (but presumably still had one somewhere ) and there was a closet with a lock, not very convenient... When the owners came, we already decided that we did not want to stay here. Unfortunately, they reacted with a lack of understanding, so we decided to clarify this through the booking. We got a small refund from Booking itself, but the landlords still seem unreasonable so weeks later we still haven't received most of the refund. Pretty annoying!
Very nice hosts, huge terrace, quiet place.
The house was very cozy with a large roof terrace and great views.
Large roof terrace
The apartment is located in the immediate vicinity of the Bornheim church. This is not a separate apartment, as indicated, but two rooms, not spatially separated from the owner's area + shower room on the ground floor. You can climb to them by stairs. A staircase leads from the joint entrance area to the owners kitchen. The kitchen in the apartment is a field kitchen, which is located in the bedroom and has no water connection. The second room contains the hostess's wardrobe, which is fixed with a chain with a lock. Not necessarily suitable for families with children due to circumstances.
This apartment overlooks the Bay of Cologne, which you can enjoy from the fantastic roof terrace. Unusual, original furnishings. Very dear host family.
Very friendly and uncomplicated hostess. The rooms are very clean and well equipped. Recommended and close relationship.
Very nice apartment. Very clean and very nice host. I would love to come back here again and again.
There was nothing wrong with that.
Everything around was great. I will be happy to visit again.
Roof terrace.
- The apartment was found with the filter "private / whole premises". The description also does not indicate that the apartment is just one floor of a house where a family with a small child lives. You have to share the kitchen. Since the upper floor is separated only by a staircase and not even a door, all the noises from the first floor were clearly audible. This is not an apartment with silence and solitude.
The location in Brenig is very good. Everything is very easy to reach. The accommodation was very nice and clean. I can only recommend.
The roof terrace was great, fantastic views of Cologne and the sunset. Nice host, interesting atmosphere.
The kitchen equipment was poor. Little storage space for clothes, etc. For a week.
The accommodation was clean and the hostess was very friendly. Everything worked fine. Our almost 2 year old son had a great time too. Everything was great, highly recommended and we would be happy to come again.
Main host
Large roof terrace
TV without cable, but still recommended
The double bed is very wide and comfortable. The hostess is warm and helpful. She asked what we wanted and even brought us a piece of cake for breakfast. The terrace is also very attractive. It is very clean and nicely decorated.
The church opposite is pretty annoying, at least on Sunday mornings. All kinds of bells were ringing. Not too loud, but somehow constant.
Quiet place, very nice and uncomplicated owner.
The apartment is very beautiful, clean, newly renovated. The bed is very comfortable. Everything you need is already included. The owner is very nice and very friendly. The location is perfect. In 18 minutes I was in Bonn.
