There is a mini market next to the accommodation that doesn't charge you more and a restaurant that serves you very well. You can walk to a public ferry station, and if not, there are several along the way that offer you a private crossing.

We spent a couple of wonderful days at Hassan's house, very large, comfortable and clean, and with a washing machine, which came in very handy. The location is great and its terrace is very relaxing, in addition to having three air conditioners that keep it fresh at all times. Hassan recommended vehicles and places to visit in Luxor which made our stay unique. He even did us a favor by taking us to the Africa Restaurant for delicious food and was kind enough to wait until we got back to the apartment.
