The place is beautiful, the cleanliness is impeccable, the service is very nice and the parking is safe. I love that they have a permanent coffee station.

The garden, the quietness of the place, a good location, the very large and comfortable bed, there was free tea and coffee, in general everything was very good and the people were very friendly.

The accommodation is very charming, the garden is charming and the rooms have a terrace where it is perfect. It has parking which is absolutely essential. Our room was spacious with carpet, spacious bathroom and a very good fridge and aircon, it has no window. The location is good in relation to the old port, but the place itself is empty, dirty, with an atmosphere of insecurity and excessive traffic, which we did not really like. Very nice staff, very good breakfast and they have a laundry service

Very close to everything. Super comfortable and very clean. Super spacious room with a very comfortable king size bed. There is a small fridge which is very handy. There is also a table with 2 chairs and a very cozy outside space with comfortable chairs and a hammock.

Very nice German owner, friendly staff. Attention: Payment is only possible in cash. We had a spacious room with good air conditioning which is very important for Puerto Viejo. A refrigerator is also available. everything is within walking distance: supermarkets, ATMs, sodas and restaurants, as well as a bus stop. Located off the main road. Big plus: from 6:30 am free coffee and tea for self service. We could rent bikes directly from the front desk for US$7 per day. When we asked, we immediately received fresh towels.

Ubication. I arrived before check in and they were very accommodating to receive me with no problems.

Everything perfect, clean as described

We were warmly welcomed by Rolf (German host) and check-in was flawless and uncomplicated. Rolf helped us plan the tour and gave us very helpful tips. We also recommend a personal tour (exotic fruits and spices) to Rolf's estate (near the hotel)! We learned so much and were allowed to eat and try a lot. The hotel complex is in very good condition and lovingly furnished. The bathroom was very spacious and the shower was a dream (warm water and good pressure). There is a small refrigerator in the room. Delicious coffee at reception in the morning. There are numerous restaurants, bars and supermarkets in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The beach is easily accessible on foot. There is parking on site.

Owner Rolf Blanke offers not only very nice and clean accommodation, but also half-day tours to the jungle. We took the opportunity and are delighted. However, you need to be equipped with good shoes and other good equipment because the round trip goes right through the jungle, through mud and bushes. On the other hand, you can see a large number of native animals, from machine gun ants and driver ants to toucans, caimans, various types of herons and snakes. Botanists are pointed out the features of inconspicuous trees, such as the poisonous sandbox tree, which, armed with thorns and poison, can injure or even blind travelers seeking footholds in a slippery dungeon. The biologist tells many interesting facts about the plant world, discovered creatures and the fascinating history and geography of Costa Rica. If you come to Costa Rica for nature, you should not miss this tour with a maximum of 4 guests and book as early as possible.

The rooms are quite basic but with everything you need and very clean. You can relax in a hammock in front of your room. An absolute highlight: a rainforest tour with Rolf and Juana. Rolf is a biologist to the core and can tell a story about almost every leaf and beetle. Juana has a kind of superpower and recognizes hidden animals at incredible distances. But it is better to find out in advance, as the tour must be prepared.
