Joachim is a charm and knows the activities available to do in Palomino and its surroundings as well as informing you of how to get to them. It made me very sad to leave because we had a great time and we were super comfortable in the hotel.

The facilities and the treatment of the staff, especially Joaquín, the administrator, a supremely friendly person and willing to give us the best possible care. The breakfast, which is included, was also spectacular, delicious.

The accommodation was very hygienic, with good air conditioning, and also very good in terms of location (between the main bus road, the beach, and close to laundromat). The breakfast was perfect, plentiful and varied. Joachim is of course known locally and therefore knows how to tell you where you can eat, what and where activities etc. I would recommend this hostel to anyone because everything is really great. Casa Colibri is one of the best hostels we have had the pleasure of staying in during our five months of travel. The rooms are clean with air conditioning and good showers. Casa Hotel has a beautiful courtyard where you can sit after a day at the beach or tubing. The location is excellent. Walking distance to restaurants, beach, bus station and cold lager tiend across the road. The breakfast is excellent! Pancakes with banana, jam, syrup. Bread, humus, cucumber, fruit, egg, coffee. You don't have to choose; because you get everything! Awesome. Owner and host Joachim is possibly the most empathetic person in South America. He is interested in a good way and has been a real help in providing information during the Corona virus outbreak. Shortly speaking; this hostel is really super nice. Especially if you look at the prices for the night. You are getting too much for your money.

The owner, Belgian Dutch speaking Joachim will help you wherever he can with all your questions. Excursions, taxis, tubing, buses, laundry, no problem. The hostel is located on the main street and there are very good restaurants nearby. The beach is also a 10 minute walk. Is it a luxury? No, but that's not what this hostel is aiming for. It has all the basics in perfect order. Clean, good and varied breakfast (= finally not only eggs with tomatoes and onions), fast wifi and good bed. The rooms are not huge, but certainly spacious enough. The price for all this is very tender.
